Who knew Chubs was such a badass?!

I couldn't wait to read Chubs' story. Glad to say I wasn't disappointed. There is definitely way more to Chubs than meets the eye in the previous books. When his past life unexpectedly invades his present one, Chubs has some very difficult choices to make. Regretfully, his decisions traumatize and almost destroy the trust of everone he leaves behind. Unexpextedly, his leaving also drives a wedge between Lucy and the DA. Lucy's reaction while understandable, catches me a little off guard. Apparently Lucy has many layers to her also. Eventually the club comes to realize that Chubs wasn't removed from thier lives by force and they feel frustrated and betrayed. However in true DA fashion, they tenaciously refuse to let Chubs (or Lucy) go and rally around him when he needs them the most. While the main storyline is centered around Chubs and his mission, we also get to watch how the DA family continue to navigate their own lives in his absence. His absence affects negative and positive changes both inside and outside of the club. Bella coming into her own, Candy coming into the fold, Craig adjusting to life without Chubs in his day to day, AND Tessie no longer terrorizing the club (and everyone else in her orbit) were unexpected treats. As usual, there was a perfect blending of suspense, emotion, and humor. Themultiple times where I had to put my kindle down because I was laughing way to hard to keep reading balance out the angst in Chubs' and Lucy's story. We are also introduced to a few new characters (two legged and four legged) that I hope to see again. I must say I'm already looking forward to the mischief that this new addition to the club's ever growing pet population will bring. There was a surprising reveal and another kindle dropping hilarious scene at end of the book (two actually). So, I got to say goodbye to the DAMC (for now) with mixed emotions. I will miss not only the them but the shenanigans that take place both inside and outside of their clubhouse. I can't wait to read the next book! I hope there are many MANY more books to come in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed this latest ride.

This book was well anticipated and didn't disappoint in the slightest but did lead me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I cried sad, happy and laughter tears. Chubbs has easily been one of the best loved characters in all books so far and learning his truth was well worth the wait, you see a whole other side to him in this book but he is still the Chubbs we know and love to the core. While he sets out on making his family safe you old a breath the whole timing not knowing how it will turn out but it made for an amazing read. Lucy's side of the story was even harder to read and brought me to tears more than once, getting to know her better was good after all these books but seeing that person broken was sad to read. However as with all books Craig, Axel and the animals bring much needed light and laughter, with the help of Rex this time this book has the funniest moment of all books so far an I couldn't breath for laughing which was perfect after all the emotional read of Chubbs and Lucy. This is a must read of you have read the series and if you haven't read the series first, it's up there with the best I ever read.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Devil's Angels! MC I love Chubs, Lucy, Ava, Lisa, Craig, Luke, Mac, Priest, Bailey, Gunner, Gee, Pigeon, Cash, Vex, Pooh, Ivy, Livi, Tammy, Trudy, Petey, Taja, Pippa & even Axel. In this book, I came to love Candy.

If you're looking for an MC romance with many sexy scenes, this isn't it. You don't want to miss out on this book though. You get the H making the ultimate sacrifice for the ones he loves. You'll want to cry for Chubs and Lucy but laugh at the shenanigans and banter between the secondary characters. There is so much love and hurt throughout these pages, but, in the end, a HEA. However, I am left wanting more of the romance that we have heard and read since book 1. I wanted more passion between the two main characters, and there was none. Did I understand the reason? I did! Toward the end, though, I felt like it was rushed. I wish there were 100 more pages about how Chubs & Lucy had their HEA. Of how they overcome their past.

I totally enjoyed this story, and it had a different vibe to it than the other stories. This one a more series story but with characters still acting up. My heart went out to Lucy when Chubs left her and the emotions she went though afterwards. However Chubs thought he was doing the right thing, protecting the club and close close to him. The Fbi agents were on his tail and it was time to end thing for once and for all, to protect his blood family and MC.
This was certainly a wowser of a story, however to learn a bit more about chubs you will have to read the books from Gunners story. You wont regret buy ijng and read ijng yhese book they really are so good to read

Chubs has been a major character and his mysterious back story has been hinted at through previous books in the series. Chubs has disappeared without telling Lucy or his club, was he snatched, or has he done a runner?

We learn his story and why he has secretly disappeared and how this devastates Lucy.
The book is full of heart felt despair and anger from Lucy and shock, worry and emotion from his other club family left behind. It’s not all doom and gloom, antics from the usual suspects will make you laugh out loud.

This isn’t a standalone book, to enjoy it you really need to read the other books in the series first, you won’t be disappointed it is a fantastic series. I couldn’t wait for this book to be published and it certainly did not disappoint. I can’t wait for the next book.

I felt like it took forever for this book to finally come and I for one am glad to finally get Chub and Lucy's story! This series is full of lovable characters both human and animal but for me Axel, Craig and Chubs are my favorite. If you're looking for a MC romance with lots of schmexy scenes you're not going to get it here. What you do get is the lead M character making the ultimate sacrifice for the ones he loves. You'll want to cry for Chubs and Lucy but at the same time you will laugh at the shenanigans and banter between the secondary characters. There is so much love and hurt through out these pages but you will also see some action and of course have a HEA at the end. Read this book but start at the beginning of the series so you understand who is who in the story, it's worth it!

I am unsure of how I feel right now. I loved this book. Loved Chubs back story and how he became to be chubs. I love Lucy's character, how funny and loyal it is, and how close she is with her parents. I love tue rest of the angels and especially Craig.
However, I am left wanting more of the romance that we have heard and read since book 1. I wanted more of the passion between the two main characters, and there was none. Did I understand the reason? Absolutely, but towards the end, I felt like it was rushed. And. I wish there were 100 more pages towards the end of how Chubs and Lucy had their HEA. Of how they overcome thier past, the rough sex, the burn the world around us kiss and who care who's watching.
Nonetheless, the book was good. Some might find it boring because it did drag a little, but it was well writing.

Okay so the first book was fun, but mildly annoyed me as it read like a Sons of Anarchy fanfic, but the characters were so much fun and as the series continues Lola Wright's writing just seemed to get better as well. I am in love with her writing and her characters, they are witty, charming and relatable.
I am not ready for this series to end!!! What about Horse, she set us up for his story!?!?!
I literally stayed up until all hours of the morning to finish her books, I had to make myself go to sleep so I wouldn't start the next one.

Trust is important in a relationship and shouldn't be taken for granted. Chubs thought he was doing the right thing protecting the ones he loved and cared about. But always this book has me in stitches at mac and Priscilla antics. You wouldn't know they were birds the way they talk to each other. HEA.
