5,0 sur 5 étoiles A beautiful masterpiece ❤️
Commenté en France 🇫🇷 le 25 janvier 2023
Since reading Football Royalty I was waiting for Brady's story impatiently. And what a story, I couldn’t have imagined it and it was emotionally intense, beautiful - I loved it so much. I felt so deeply for Brady, Kit and Prescott, their chemistry is off the chart - not just physically but emotionally 🥰

Everything started one night when Brady joined Kit and Prescott who needed a 3rd person. After that, they couldn’t get enough of each other, and decided to try to reunite at least once a year since they would dispatch around the country. However, being apart and seeing each other so little is not as easy as it sounds.

Be ready to get emotionally wrecked, but it’s so worth it, I loved every second of this book, every hardship. This is one of the MORE EMOTIONAL books that I read from Eden Finley. I love her writing and I will never recommend her enough. I cannot wait to see if she has some things planned for Four and Freddie, and of course for the rest of the Mike Bravo Team ❤️

4,0 sur 5 étoiles The Gay Brigade (NextGen)

Gay Brigade (NextGen) is just as intriguing as I hoped!! Fans of the Fake Boyfriend universe should try this book because it’s a great continuation and we get to experience our fave couples again in a fantastic, well written story that conveys the anguish of long distance relationships. I enjoyed the separate POVs because the characters were well crafted and their voices distinct.

What I don’t understand is why there’s not one single heart to heart between Peyton and Brady in this book. I mean do they talk/FaceTime at all? They’re described as being practically twins but it’s like upon graduation and Peyton’s draft there’s no hint of interaction between them and I’m left wondering if they ever touch base. It’s a confusing oversight when during their childhood these brothers have only each other and because of it are super close. I was disappointed when Football Royalty ended without a brotherly heart to heart. But because of the story’s timing and the transition in their relationship I rolled with it. Especially since I still got those sweet moments with Shane and Peyton, not to mention Shane and Brady talking down Levi from the edge - that was all excellent.

Here Eden Finley perfectly poised Brady’s arc of personal growth, and the maturity he gains through sacrifice (to his brother and his loves) until there’s this great buildup that leads to nowhere. Brady doesn’t confide in ANYONE. He seems emotionally isolated so the pressure he feels worsens with everything he’s juggling. Don’t get me wrong Uncle Damon was amazing as ever! At one point he hints at how much Brady gave up for Peyton making him realise how much of himself he’s sublimated over the years but that’s not revisited at all.

It doesn’t make sense and is unrealistic to me. Particularly after all that longing, personal turmoil and the incredible cloak and dagger shenanigans.

It’s a missed opportunity that diminishes Peyton by making him repeatedly come across as a selfish prick because everything’s about him even after Brady knowingly/unknowingly created distance in their relationship. With the best will in the world I find it rather hard to believe that Brady and Peyton don’t talk through this at all — that it’s enough that Pres set Pey straight at first sight on a park bench and it’s all good, a perfect resolution.

I would’ve related better to Brady’s self-acceptance with more brotherly investment. There’s no indication that reconciliation happened off-book either but it would’ve been a cop out anyway. Also, is there a tendency for protagonist issues to be neatly cleaned up by secondary characters? I’m not sure, could be the way the story was written/edited gives that impression.

I loved getting to know this next generation and absolutely love the glimpses of the Gay Brigade in full force. I had an expectation that with growth Brady and Peyton would find a healthy balance between being brothers and being professional athlete/agent - something I didn’t fully get which makes this feel somewhat unfinished to me and that is frustrating.

5,0 sur 5 étoiles Nothing but love for Brady, Kit and Prescott
Commenté aux États-Unis 🇺🇸 le 27 janvier 2023

Summary: Brady’s one night hook up with two Navy SEALs his last year of college turns into the three men spending years trying to find time to meet up at least once a year amidst their jobs in different states. But over time, their goodbyes get harder. And even though Brady’s family is all on board with him being queer, can they handle him being polyamorous too? And if he’s going to be his pro-football player brother’s agent, he can’t have a scandal of his own that might overshadow his brother.
Review: Brady was a side character in two of the Franklin U series books—he’s Felix’s best friend in Saxon James’ The Dating Disaster and he’s Peyton’s brother in Finley’s Football Royalty. And even though he’s just a side character in these interconnected books, he left an impression. So when I heard that Finley was going to give Brady his own story, I was excited to read it. And I wasn’t disappointed at all. In fact, this is my favorite Eden Finley book so far.

There is just something about these guys and how they relate to each other and what they go through to be together. From the moment Brady meets Kit and Prescott, he can sense how deep their connection is. Brady, in his regular life is a total caregiver—it’s why he’ll make a great sports agent. And that makes him very observant and mature for his age (he’s in his last year of college when the book begins, so I think he’s somewhere around 21). So he sees just how deeply Kit feels for Prescott and that Prescott isn’t aware of it. Brady’s also respectful enough to not want to come between the two. But at the same time, the older (by 9-10 years) men recognize how special Brady is—they see his self-assuredness and appreciate his care for their relationship. So they end up doing something they never do—invite Brady to join them again.
A throuple seems like a very complicated relationship to me—each person has to navigate four different relationships—you have your relationship with each of the others, the other two without you, and the three of you. That’s a lot. I thought Finley handled that complexity really well. Showing how even though Kit and Prescott had a preexisting relationship with each other, it didn’t diminish their feelings for Brady. And also showing that while things might be good between each of them and Brady, and between the three of them as a unit, there is a portion of the book where things are more tentative between Kit and Prescott. I also love how it shows how because of the closeness of all three of them, when two are at odds, the third person can help bridge the gap—even if it’s just by encouraging communication between the other two.

It was also really fun to see Brady’s family and get to spend more time with some of the characters from Finley’s other books. So we get more of Peyton and Levi, and more of Brady and Peyton’s dads. The only thing that I was disappointed by was that when things finally work out for Brady, Kit, and Prescott, there was no mention of Brady reaching out to tell Felix about it.

I loved this story. I kind of want to just go back to the beginning and start rereading it right now. So I definitely recommend this book for anyone who likes MMM romance, and anyone who has read the Franklin U series.

I fell in love with Brady when I first read his brother Peyton’s story so I knew right off the bat that I HAD to read his happy ever after and it did NOT disappoint!

From a one time hookup to a yearly meet up situation to a throuple with their whole future ahead of them, this book had all the ups and downs of a normal heterosexual relationship with some obvious extra challenges thrown in as any poly relationship would probably have.

Kit, Prescott and Brady’s bond as a throuple leapt off the page and grabbed me by the throat, and I was surprised how much I cared about all three of them. Kit’s dominant but caretaking nature, combined with the fun loving and playful nature of Prescott and Brady’s hidden vulnerability and brattiness all combined to create a wonderful balance in there relationship.

Their story grew and evolved as the chapters flew by, I could not put it down and I felt all of emotions as though they were happening to me. I laughed, I shook my head, I cried and got red in the face myself as only a cameo from Marcus Talon or a parent could make a child. The way Brady first meets Prescott’s parents was classic and embarrassing as I am sure most first meet the parent moments can be.

The cameos from all of the Fake Boyfriend couples and their children were wonderful and typical of each and every one of their characters, it was beautiful to see Damon in a more paternal role with Brady and their relationship just took my breath away.

Eden has such a talent for expressing the emotions her characters experience in such a way that I felt I was riding the roller coaster with Brady, Kit and Prescott. This is definitely a MUST read and one I will never stop rereading. I absolutely loved it. 5 shooting stars.

I was excited to read the book as it has characters from previous books by this author. Brady grew up in the shadows of his very famous dads and brother and just wants something that he can enjoy and be 100% himself. He is 22, in his last year at FU and has a love for threesomes and so can't believe hi stuck when he bags not one but 2 seals when looking for a hookup with his friend. Kit and Prescott are roommates, SEALs and currently on a break before their next deployment, when they meet Brady. There is something that just feels right between the three of them from the start and what starts as a simple hookup turns into more meet ups whenever they are all free.

As to expect, there are feelings involved and Kit arm Prescott are more than roommates and lovers when hooking up with Brady but they are too scared to share their real feelings with each other in fear of being turned down. As time goes by there are changes with their jobs, Brady starts Law school and an internship in NY and they really have to make to he effort to see each other a handful of times a year but can they have more, will it ever be a real relationship. Brady is terrified what his queer family will think, that it taught affect his brother Peyton's career. An unfortunate accident has them coming to their sense and being honest with each other.

I loved how their friendship grew, how they grounded each other separately and when together. I think they worked well as a thruple and enjoyed the meddling parents. Definitely couldn't put it down and was routing for them the entire time.

5,0 sur 5 étoiles I didn't want to say goodbye to these three amazing men either

When Eden announced she was writing the next generation of the guys I’d fallen in love with in her Fake Boyfriends series I might have been a tad excited.

Seeing Payton Miller get his happy ever after with Levi in Football Royalty was a joyous experience and one I adored.

But then when she said his brother Brady Talon was going to be falling for two Navy SEALs, well let’s just say expectations were high.

And oh boy does she deliver, in spades, with bells on, shining lights, and an air horn.

This book not only met all my desires and hopes, it took them beyond and into the stratosphere. It’s burning fires of Hell hot, of course it is, the sex is off the charts steaming.

But it’s so, so much more than that. This is a book about love and sacrifice, it’s about pain and hope, it’s about three souls meeting at a perfect place in time and slotting together like the best puzzle pieces.

Each one of the three could manage on their own, and any two of the three could successfully be together as a couple if they’d met in different circumstances.

But what makes them special is what they bring to a relationship as a triad. Each arm of their equilateral triangle has the perfect set of characteristics that matches the gaps the others need filling.

Eden took three men who never set out to find a lifetime of love and melded them through a series of long separations, fears and doubts, hurt and comfort, into a rock-solid partnership with unbreakable chains

I could happily have read another book twice this length filled with their banter, their caring, their support, and their antics between the sheets.

I’m not sure if this is goodbye to the second generation, there are a few cousins still I’d love to see get their happily ever afters. If it is though, what a triumphant note to finish on.

I don’t usually read MMM books probably because I can’t get my head around loving someone so much you can happily share them. I get the awesome 🔥, double the pleasure but I think in a relationship I would suffer from jealousy, a lot!

Having said that this book is by Eden Finley so of course I read it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There wasn’t too much angst but there was pining, lots of pining. It was palpable, you could feel their pain, their loneliness and emptiness when they weren’t together and the goodbyes got harder.

What started out as a bit of fun at a bar developed over three years into a beautiful relationship. As they described it to Brady “It’s like we’re a jigsaw and you are the missing piece”.

This book can be read as a stand-alone but if you go back to the beginning where Brady’s dads fell in love in the Fake Boyfriend series and became football legends and the first out and proud gay couple and where you meet all Brady’s extended and mostly famous uncles and then read Football Royalty, Brady’s brother Peyton’s story, where we see Brady and Peyton all grown up, you will enjoy the madness even more when they all come to visit, and meddle and check out Brady’s boyfriends.

After a lot of setbacks and the three of them living in different states they actually communicate and get their HEA. Very enjoyable and as most of the uncles from the Fake Boyfriend series have kids of their own I can’t see why Eden needs to stop here, Four is an intriguing snarky little thing😉

4.5⭐️

When Brady meets two SEALs at a bar, he expects he’s going to have to do some convincing to get them both in bed, but lucky enough for him, that’s exactly what they want. Kit and Prescott are best friends, roommates, and on the same SEAL team, they can’t be together no matter how much they want it so they use hookups with other guys together as a way to be together while on leave without actually being together.

Brady is in college so when these hookups become a regular thing they are all under the expectation that once he graduates it will end, he will be moving away and Kit and Prescott will go back to doing what they always did. When the time comes for things to end, they all decide that they don’t want that, they want to see each other once a year because they aren’t ready to say goodbye, so they do.

Each of these guys struggles with their feelings and being able to accept that they want more out of the relationship. Kit and Prescott have a lot of history and feelings built up, but they’ve always had reasons that it couldn’t work and wouldn’t be possible. Brady coming into their lives opened up new possibilities for them. They fall in love with each other individually and together. Poly relationships in books can be a hit a miss for me, sometimes there’s one that feels like a third wheel, but Eden Finley did a fantastic job at making sure all three of them were integral to the relationship.

Going into this book I was so excited to learn more about Brady’s character, I loved his dad’s story from the Fake Boyfriend series and he did not disappoint. Brady is always taking care of his family and stepping up for those who need him, so when he is with Kit and Prescott he lets them take care of him, and it is exactly what they need.

I loved seeing the found family from the Fake Boyfriend series come back and how big of a role they play in Brady’s life. It’s always so fun to see the second gen with characters I love so much! Highly recommend reading that series before reading Can’t Say Goodbye, you won’t regret it!

I loved this story!

Brady was a 20 year old college student when he first met Kit and Prescott two Navy Seals at a bar. Brady has always like the three ways and he was instantly drawn to the two best friends.

This story is about their one night stand turning into meeting up whenever the two guys weren’t on deployment into not being able to wait to see each other again. Kit has always been in love with Prescott but has never told him and has used they three way as a way to connect to Prescott physically. When they both develop strong feelings for Brady and vice versa things get interesting and compromises have to be made.

I loved these three guys, they complemented each other beautifully.

I have to say wow! I loved Brady and his guys story from the moment I picked up my kindle!

From the moment we met the grown Brady as felix’s best friend I new his story was going to be an interesting one.

These three together are beautiful as both a throuple and individual couples however the with jobs, school and a ‘only on leave’ pact keeping these three from realising their true feelings I wondered how it was going to come together because these three were really bad at communicating outside of the bedroom for a while there.

They each have there own ‘oh that’s what this feeling is moments’ and I’m soo glad that Eden Finley was able to let Brady and the guys tell their story the way it needed to be told.

I felt everything from the laughter to the sadness I even had a major bout of worry during a moment when kit walked a worry hole in the carpet! I love how these three can read one another and know when something isn’t quite right!

I cannot wait to see what Finley brings out next and after all the cameos and how closely Brady works with his uncle Damon I’m definitely going to go back and read through the fake boyfriends series again.
