J'ai eu l'occasion de lire plusieurs livres d'Olivia Hayle. Et j'apprécie son style. Sorte de valeur sûre pour avoir un livre bien écrit, et qui fait passer un bon moment.
Ici, apparemment elle a évolué dans son style. Et c'est bien fait. Pour autant, l'histoire ne m'a pas plus transportée que ça. J'ai trouvé qu'on reste en surface du personnage d'Isaac, que le personnage de Sophia méritait lui aussi un peu plus d'approfondissement dans ses peurs et ses craintes.
L'autrice qui arrivait souvent à éviter les stéréotypes du genre, ici n'y échappe pas. 3/4 du livre problème de communication, engueulade, chacun parle avec un proche, et pouf on se rabiboche pour une fin accélérée, sans profondeur (pas le temps d'aller dans la profondeur avec une telle fin), et stéréotypé.
Avec un tel début qui pour une fois prend un couple avec un passé, divorce pour Sophia, et séparation avant mariage pour Isaac, quel dommage de faire un livre qui rentre dans les stéréotypes quand il y a la possibilité de s'amuser à sortir des étapes attendues!

C'est bien écrit. On sent que l'autrice est plus à l'aise dans son style. C'est plaisant, agréable à lire. Mais déjà lu ailleurs dans toute sa structure... Dommage! Ça aurait pu être un livre extra, avec des personnages en profondeur vu leur passé. Mais ça reste assez basique. Sans rien d'autre à lire pourquoi pas. Sinon Olivia Hayle a d'autres bons ouvrages à lire!

Well I loved this book! I say this about every book I read written by this talented writer! The characters take my interest in their lives. If you start with Book 1 in this series you won't want to stop!

C’est une charmante romance, tendre surtout, qui peut-être chaude, et qui a un début original. La rencontre entre Sophia et Isaac, donne envie de savoir le « et après ? ». La suite est plus simple, peut-être. C’est une tendre reconstruction pour Sophia, un moyen aussi de vengeance contre son ex mari, avec le support de Isaac, l’homme qu’elle aide pour améliorer son hôtel, mais qui l’aide aussi à se reconstruire.

Isaac Winter is now the CEO of his family's hotel empire. All he knows is business. Having only been in one long relationship that didn't last, he just isn't interested anymore. Then he meets a beautiful woman who is running down the stairs of his hotel and she's in tears. He stops her and pulls her behind a pillar to make sure she's OK.

Sophia just found her husband in one of the rooms in bed with another woman. Now she needs to get out of here. She's suspected for months but now knows the truth. Isaac comforts her the best he can, and although they exchanged first names he figures he will never see her again.

Now it's 10 months later and Sophia is heading with her team to Winter Hotel in New York City to get ideas on a proposal to build new Winter hotels that are not as luxurious as their main hotel. She is surprised when Isaac comes to the meeting. She realized who he was after the incident a few months ago. Now Isaac sees the woman who has been on his mind for months.

These two are together a lot so they can work on the proposal of the new hotels. There is a lot there for both of them to deny what they feel. Can they work together and keep things professional? Especially when both of their families want to set each of them up. So they decide to do a fake relationship. Then issues come calling for both.

Loved this 5th and final book in the series. So good! Add this series to your list! Enjoy

Sophia and Isaac first meet after Sophia is sobbing and fleeing from a hotel after discovering her husband cheating on her. She then runs into Isaac, the owner of the hotel, who comforts the crying woman in his lobby. Life goes on. Nearly a year later, they meet again in work circumstances where Sophia’s team is consulting for Isaac’s company. When close proximity leads to flirting leads to you know what, things heat up. They concoct a plan to pretend to be a couple for a few public engagements to get back at Sophia’s ex and soon realize they don’t want the ruse to end. They decide to give it a go but things from the past just can’t seem to stay buried. Can they work it out?

SPOILERS: I overall liked it, with some critiques. Sophia kept bringing up work over and over and over. At a certain point I was like, girl, shush, you’re ruining the mood. Also, Isaac confesses he had a casual fling with a woman who was married but the marriage wasn’t great. I, however, abhor cheating so that definitely made me think less of his character, especially seeing as Sophia’s husband cheated on her and a past girlfriend of Isaac cheated on him.

Issac is such a beautiful man inside and out. I love his patience, caring, taking out huge responsibilities for his family and relatives most of all how much he cares for Sophia. But I felt this story was mostly about Sophia’s feelings and her world but despite all that there was a happy ending which as always poor Isaac threaded carefully.

I really like all the books from Olivia Hayle. I would give a 5 stars to them all, however this one, even though it was easy to read and very well written, felt a bit rushed. I didn't think Sophie was ready to date or to give Isaac what he deserved

Yet another great read and orrrr I have to say I loved Issaac. He seemed lost and lonely, even though he's such a powerful man. Sophia turns his head and the man is lost. I love their story and their ambition to succeed, it makes them a powerhouse couple. I also loved their back stories which made their characters much stronger. A great read and once again another page turner. Altogether I loved the boss books and feel they are definitely worth a read

I love a good fake dating with the boss read, and when you add a hot alpha-roll like Isaac Winter to the mix, you get a solid romance book.

Working as a consultant for Winter Hotels is not the first time Sophie Bishop interacted with Isaac. When she discovered her husband in the arms of another at the Winter Hotel, a crying Sophie runs into Isaac, who helps her to escape her cheating fiancé.

After she leaves the cheater and works for Exciteur as a head consultant, she crosses paths with Isaac again. This time, he is her client. The more these two work together, the more they realize that there is a deeper connection than just a professional one.

When Sophie gets an invite to a high society event where she might run into her ex-husband, Isaac volunteers to be her date to keep the cheating jerk at bay. It will also benefit him by stopping his family members from meddling in his dating life.

I enjoyed this read. The connection between Isaac and Sophie is quickly established, and their chemistry is fire. I love them doling out revenge to their exes, who very much deserved their comeuppance. I personally love that they challenge each other to come out of their respective self-imposed shell. There are some moments where the pacing is a bit slow, but the revenge moments more than make up for those.

This low-angst read does well as a standalone, though there are appearances by the characters from previous books in the series.

This is Sophia and Isaac’s story. They met in Isaac’s Hotel because of a horrible circumstance.: Sophia witnessed her husband with another woman and broke down in front of Isaac.

Almost a year later, Sophia is focusing on her career and is selected to work on Isaac’s company as a consultant.

Love the fact that she has a killer job which different than most storylines. They are both attracted but Sophia doesn't want to have a relationship with rich men that are in the same circle with her ex. In the end they agree to a fake relationship due to several circumstances.

I liked Isaac as he was scarred from his past relationships but he was down to earth and understanding. He was sexy in a quiet way and definitely marriage material.

There was ow (both had ex's) drama but it was resolved gradually.

I received an ARC for an honest review.
