I was so excited about this book, I love the Fake Boyfriend series and seeing the children of one of those famous couples was amazing. Since the moment I read the College Dilemma, I was waiting for Eden Finley to write about Peyton and Brady. I wasn’t disappointed. This book is my absolute favourite from the series.

There is this deep connection between Peyton and Levi, Peyton feels intense pressure to become the NFL first drafted player and has stats that can rival his father. Meanwhile, Levi feels the intense pressure from his father, and decides to secretly rebel and pursue art. From their high school awkward hookup to their reunion at FU, they always thought about each other.
I was truly able to get attached to them, I couldn’t stop reading. Brady is also so interesting and I can’t wait to read his story, which seems a little heartbreaking. I also laughed a lot each time Marcus Talon had a scene.

This book will definitely be part of my favourite read of the year. I can’t wait to have it in paperback and read it all over again.

Football Royalty was so good! Levi and Peyton made such a sweet and passionate couple. It was a long time coming for them to finally reunite and then build an healthy relationship together. I love this kind of rekindling romance. There were feelings everywhere, right from the beginning, and when Pey and Levi acknowledged them I basked in love - and steam, because there was some scorching hot sexy time. No wondering consider their amazing chemistry, in and out of the bedroom.

Brady and Peyton's family had such a healthy dynamic going on. The dads could be fun - and annoy the hell out of their kids - but also give some pretty good advices. There was no toxic pressure, even if there were expectations. As Levi said, they'd still love Pey, even if he failed his career. Which wasn't the case in the Vanderbilt family. So this book was also about found family in regards to Levi and the Talon-Miller family. He blended easily with them and they welcomed his with open arms - while teasing Pey of course.

And the last sentence? It was the best way to finish this book ^^

Wow, what a surprise to find out that Marcus Talon and Shane Miller are now the parents of Peyton and Brady. Marcus is Payton’s biological father and Shane is Brady’s biological father. Seems both men used surrogate mothers.

This is Peyton’s story with his Dad and Pops being Football Royalty it’s in Peyton’s blood to follow suit. Football is his passion and he is the quarterback for Franklin U College Team. He thrives on the pressure of taking his FU team to the Finals, getting picked First in the Draft and winning at the Super Bowl with his first NFL team.

At his Graduation from High School he had a life changing encounter on a rooftop with Levington Vanderbilt, a fellow graduate, who thought Peyton was going to jump off. Peyton had no such intention but he was bowled over by “his saviour”, and how gorgeous he looked. They introduced themselves and chatted about their plans for College.

He ended up having his first sexual intimacy with a guy. Even though both enjoyed it they just ended up saying Goodbye and Peyton went on to Franklin U.

Levington is the son of an elite Bostonian family with boundless wealth. He is going to Harvard Law school and will follow plans for his future, made by his overbearing father. He hates his family and how they live on their unearned, handed down wealth. Wishing to live his own life, doing what he loves, he leaves Harvard.

Informing his family that he is gay they don’t object when he decides to move to the other side of the country, California. Their happy that he won’t be in Boston or Chicago flaunting his sexuality among their socialite friends.

When he transfers colleges he also changes his major from Law to Art without telling his father.

That’s how Peyton and Levington came to meet for the second time, when Levi walks into Shenanigans pub at Franklin U.

I’ve loved this Series at Franklin U and all the characters right from Book 1. I think this is the last in the series which is sad but it was good to see all the previous characters surfacing here in Book 8.

The 2 MC here had terrific chemistry with Levi more experienced than Peyton whose first ‘gay’ experience was with Levi on the rooftop of his Mansion home at their High school Graduation Party. I liked Levi’s personality a bit more than Peyton’s who could appear a bit cold at times.

Some of the stories were more appealing than others but none were disappointing. A really good series that I’d recommend if you enjoy MM stories in a College Setting. Yeh, will miss these guys. ♥️♥️♥️

2 🌶️

This is a reread for me because Can’t Say Goodbye is being released tomorrow 1/25; and I had to reread all the Talon/Miller stories in preparation. I’m glad I decided to pick this one back up. When I originally read this I don’t think it got a fair shot. When I first started reading the FU books; and I got to meet Brady in The Dating Disaster; I immediately couldn’t wait to read his story. Obviously I thought this was his story, so let's just say I was a little disappointed which caused my lack of enjoyment.

Peyton & Levi didn’t deserve it though. On the night of Levi’s high school graduation party, Peyton & Levi meet, kiss & have a moment that will change both of their lives forever. Yet, they both pretend it meant & was nothing when in reality it was everything.

The Talon/Miller clan is a force to be reckoned with & I loved every minute of it. Although Peyton is the King of the FU campus, he does it with care & openness. He isn’t all jockstrappy, it’s a word! Or a vibe. His parents gave him such a great foundation; and he has built on it and he takes a piece of both with him in everything he does. He’s the blend of both.

Levi is quiet in a different way. His confidence is backed by the money his parents bestow and although he is attempting to break free it is easier knowing he can do it with the money he has at his back. He’s not the typical upper crust douche. He wants to be better & do better.

It’s when they collide again that their story truly begins. Can you truly have everything you never knew you always wanted? Read on to find out if they can, and how their family plays a role in making or breaking their hearts.

I wish I could go back and slap past me in the face for not reading this the day it came out. What a lovely story. I was going to read Brady’s story “Can’t Say Goodbye”, but I decided I probably should read this one first. And now I wonder if I should’ve read Peyton and Brady’s dads’ story “Blindsided.” It’s not that I was confused or anything at all, but I think I would’ve liked reading how everything started. I am in love with the Talon-Miller family.

I honestly have no bad words about this book. I can’t think of a single criticism. So I am about to just wax poetically. I enjoyed everything about this. Every word. I loved every character in this. Well not Levi’s family, but they don’t count. But I especially loved Talon and Miller. They were so funny and sweet and embarrassing and supportive and yadda yadda. Wish I was a part of the family.

Do you know the feeling about thoroughly enjoying something, but you don’t have the words for it? That’s me right now. I am desperately trying to come up with words to convince readers that this book is wonderful and they should pick it up, but all I have is a fat question mark in my head. Blank thoughts. I hate when that happens. Just know it’s good. Believe me. The spice in the book was also top notch. I almost was disappointed because I thought there was only going to be a few scenes, but more came up so all is well.

I’m really excited to start reading about Brady and his navy SEALs next. I have a feeling that one is going to be sad, but I am ready for it. I have a bag of Reeses on my night stand, so I am prepared. Please read this book. I mean I read it in a day without stopping, so it’s obviously fantastic. :D

5,0 sur 5 étoiles Great end to the entire series

Out of all the Franklin U pairs Peyton and Levi were my most awaited. And not just because of Peyton! But because of the premise. Somehow Eden Finley manages to make this fluffy and thoughtful. I especially related to Levi's 'don't abuse your privilege stance.' His emotions were genuine and the fact that when he walked the talked, it wasn't sugar-coated. Because it's harder to prove you really believe in your morals when things get uncomfortable. Peyton's inner debate about passion VS love was also heartwarming. A lot of authors like to skim past these practicalities and make it all gooey. But I've noticed Eden doesn't do that. I like my fluff to be reasonable. And with this I got a perfect mixture of romance and sensitivity. Miller and Talon were just the cherry on top. What's even more amazing is that after this I'm super excited for Brad's story. From what we're teased here, I hope it's scorching, steamy three ways with big gorgeous men!! Ahhh can't wait!

4,0 sur 5 étoiles Peyton's story but Brady, Talon and Miller stole the show

Here it is.. the final installment in the Franklin U series and a kinda spin off to Blindsided, the story of Talon and Miller whose son is now taking over the football world as football royalty.

While I enjoyed this book a lot this is definitely not my favourite from the series and Eden's work.

Peyton Miller is football royalty because of his dads who won a Super Bowl as a couple. He's now finishing up his last season in college football at Franklin U and prepares for the draft. He's sole focus is football. Until Levi Vanderbilt walks back in his life.
Levi comes from old money and is expected to follow in the family tradition and become a lawyer. Exept he doesn't want that and transfers to Franklin to try to live his true life. The fact his high school hook-up he can't seem to forget goes there has nothing to do with that. Not at all.

The book tells the story of Peyton and Levi's second meet cute and a new chance at something between them. And while it starts out as nothing more than some no-strings-attached fun, you know how it works in romance books! It quickly becomes more.
Their dynamic from the beginning was a bit different than classic romances as they had a past together and things moved a lot more quicker than I'm used to from Eden. The relationship part of the story was actually sweet but I think most of the focus between them was on the spice.
The real essence of the book was down to the side characters and their interactions with the MCs. Brady, as Peytons brother and Levi's friend got a lot of focus, which was great. But Talon and Miller, or better known now as Dad and Pops, kinda stole the show a lot of the times. It was great to see these two bring out their fatherly sides but also remain their unapologetically authentic selves. This book felt like a swan song to them as much as it was Peyton's romance.

The first 60% of the book was an enjoyable but not that much awesome story for me. Unfortunately I don't like overly spicy books that much and with Eden's recent work starting to have more bedroom scenes, this was no different. It was still tasteful for the most part but I just don't enjoy it that much and needed to skip a few.
The second part of the book with the relationship angst and the found family vibes was much more up my alley and I loved the ending and how everything turned out.

Overall, it was a sweet and enjoyable romance, but it won't be my number one pick from the series or from Eden's backlist.

She has done it again. Another amazing book from Eden Finley. I put off reading it because I hate to finish a series and also because the book about Peyton's dad's is one of my all-time fave books and I didn't know if I wanted to see them again older in case they didn't live up to their book. I should not have been worried it was so good to see them again I just hope we get books about all the kids from the fake boyfriend universe so I can see all of the dad's grown up eg Jet and Soren swoon.
This story is just perfect for this couple and a great way to end. I have left it so long between books though I might need to go back and re-read a few from this series. It was such a great series you need to read every book.

I can’t believe this series is over! I have read them all and thoroughly enjoyed the fun, romance and HEAs that all the cute couples experienced.

This book was about Peyton, a football king at FU and a certain draft into the NFL as a quarterback. He has big shoes to step into as his dad’s just happen to be football royalty, non other than Marcus Talon and Shane Miller from Eden’s fabulous Fake Boyfriend series. When I realised who Peyton was I just had to go back in time and re-read the series and I enjoyed it just as much second time around. We got another treat when Damon and Maddox put in an appearance as well.

Peyton’s love interest was Levi, a sweet sensitive artist. They first met at school and ran in the same rich elite circles. They had a “moment” their first gay one but neither let on just how much they enjoyed it. They meet up again years later at FU and all the feels are still there.

These two are adorable together but I must say how much I liked Brady, Peyton’s younger brother who shares a house with him and is often the voice of reason. He has his own set of issues to work out and I would love to read his story.
