Brilliant read for teenagers

This book was great when my 16 year old son was struggling with school, gf, general anxiety.
I've since bought copies for the other teenagers in my life. It truly is a great read and so very helpful.
Also for us adults Life Will See You Now is a fantastic book by Gavin Oattes that is definitely a must read. If you only buy a couple of books this year these are the ones.

I think what I admire most about this beautiful book is Gav's honesty about 'trying to make it' and what 'making it' means. We see the world the same way - making it simply means to find joy and fun in the journey each day. It is about being kind, open minded and grabbing life by the balls, the boobs, the heart and soul whatever word applies and feels right to YOU. The first time I heard Gav speak, he had 100% made it. I bounced out of the event BUZZING and ready to live my best life. It was one beautiful mojo injection. I also love how Gav doesn't give a rats off about labels. He accepts what society may dub as 'weird'. He doesn't just accept, he encourages and I will always love him for that. This book encouraged me to keep showing up as I am. So can you. BE YOURSELF! Allow your teenagers to be themselves. Don't be a dick.

Full disclosure. I am 30 years older than the target market for this book. I was pre-reading to see if it was appropriate for my almost 13 year old (it is!!).

I previously read Gavin’s book Life Will See You Now and loved it. He brings the same down to earth, compassionate approach to A Head Full of Everything but most importantly he does it in an entertaining way that will appeal to teenagers.

He has a knack for creating simple analogies that resonate, particularly with teenagers - crisps, cereal, farts (all things that will pique the interest of my kids) are used to share a meaningful message.

Top work Gavin. You have a tough target audience but I have no doubt this book will create change.

Though I'm far from a teenager, I absolutely loved and welcomed a book that speaks to teenagers without nonsense or lectures 😊
I adore teenagers. I love their awkwardness, their vulnerability, but also the resilience they so often show. They are strong; they are beautiful people, who unfortunately too often don't believe in themselves. Hopefully, if/when they read this book, they start to believe a bit more and realise what is truly important in life.

I'll pass it to my teenage sons, but also to any adult friend who would like to read it, as I think there are some great tips in there for parents of teenagers too x

Firstly I can't believe it took me so long to read Life Will See You Now and gosh the difference that has made for me....it's an absolute must read for everyone! I bought this version for my teenage daughter and it brings to life all the messages that spoke to me about overthinking, happiness, versions of success, in the most perfect way for her. All mixed in with the right dose of humour, laughter, love......and dinosaur drawings (her personal favourite)! I wish I had found Gavin's books years ago so my encouragement is - don't delay! I'm just so delighted my daughter can benefit from this at her age....amazing!

I work with teenagers in a school setting and I like to look for inspirational texts that are an easy unpatronising read……this is it. I read it first before passing it on to my girls and I found it to be a great inspirational comical read. Love the fact you have it as an audio book read by you for those who might struggle with reading. Highly recommend.

I love Gavin Oates' books so I ordered this as soon as I could. I'm a parent, I have two teenage kids and I work in a sixth form with TEENS. I will be encouraging them all to read this book. Gav writes in a way that resonates with teens. He's honest, he's very funny and he just gets it. I also love the quotes. I cannot wait for his next book.

i seriously loved it. i read it in one sitting and it made me laugh, cry and just in general feel heard. The chapters about phones/technology and social media, mental health and anxiety were extremely relatable. The book was fun and inspiring, the first self-help books where I didn’t feel like i was being talked down to. Phenomenal!

This arrived yesterday. I love Gavin’s ‘grown-up’ books so had to order this. I read it myself last night - cover-to-cover. It’s brilliant. I’ve got it for my teenage son but I’d say it’s also a very good read for the parent of any teenager who wants to help their kids get the best out of life.
