Well I thoroughly enjoyed this book however, I did not enjoy the audio!!
This is the first time I've ever heard of Lance Greenfield and to be honest, I'm hoping this will be the last!!
I'm not a huge fan of Aiden Snow, but I'd take his narration over Lance's any day of the week!!
He has basically the same tone and voice for all of the characters, and he doesn't seem to do a single Italian accent!!
Now most men struggle trying to make their voices sound a little more feminine, but it really would have been better to have Sofia do all the female parts and vice versa for lance!!
However, Sofia Lette did an amazing job and did actually do an Italian accent for both Theresa and Fabio. But she too seemed to follow Rose Dioro and do an American accent for Cass, when she too was Italian and should also have a Italian accent too!! Thankfully her parts were pleasant to listen too and I rather enjoyed it, but then I needed to quickly read the next chapter, just so I didn't have to listen to him!!
To be frank, he was rather dull!! Sorry Lance, but I'm stating how my experience with your narration, not what Joe Bloggs down the street might have thought about it!!
Jerkhole alphahole was way to over used in this series it’s on every freaking page it’s like the author purposely used it. There is such a thing as overdoing it and it’s way over done to the point of being irritating. This series was good in the beginning she needs to go back to that writing style. Call a man a jerkhole alphahole repeatedly doesn’t make you sassy it makes you annoying. I started skimming the pages bc the book started becoming Mundane I felt like it was a chore to read instead. The first 2/3 books where so well put together now it’s just annoy AF
Seb: I promised my dying grandmother, I would get married in a month. I am really attracted to Elsa. She is mouthy, feisty, beautiful and sexy beyond belief. I want to possess her, owner her. All of her, mind, body and soul. But she doesn’t trust me. And her ex Fabio has destroyed her confidence. I found out he beat her within an inch of her life. I am going to kill him even if though he is the Police Commissioner. I loved this book!!!!! L. Steele is a brilliant author. She captures your attention through the whole book. I rate her a book a 10+. You will love this book!!!!
This is another good read in the Savrona Mafia family stories, the books are getting a bit repetitive with damsel in distress needing a big protective Alpha male forced into an arranged marriage etc. However there still manages to be a few twists in the tale that make it interesting enough. This one is Seb and Elsa's story and their chemistry from the moment they meet is red hot there are a lot of issues in this Elsa has certain desires and she has a child that her ex husband is using to control her so it all makes for an interesting read.
I have come to love every single book in this series. She does an amazing job on building each character through each book. I also love that each book is intertwined with the other stories. Truly well done and can't wait to continue to read the rest.
This is the third book that I have read about the Sovranos. You do not have to had read any of the others to get this story though they are also really good mafia stories. In this one there is Seb, who is the Capo of the Sovrano family. He is a definite alpha and has a way about him that can be intimidating to most people. He meets Elsa in a nightclub. She is there to meet up with Theresa for a night out. She doesn't get along well with Seb and ends up pouring a beer on his head. He likes her spit fire attitude and when he promises his Nona on her death bed that he will marry in a month, he goes after Elsa. Elsa has tons going on in her life with a ex from hell who is keeping her daughter away from her. He threatens her and makes her do things she doesn't want to do. Will this kill any relationship that they could have?
This book grabs you right from the beginning and has you reading well into the night. If you like mafia romances this is an easy one to recommend.
Seb is my favorite alphhole behind his brother Michael. He is always the one I connect with the best. He is always doing his best to protect his brothers and family. But has always felt on the outside being as he is a bastard. When he "marries" Elsa and her younger daughter he gets a chance he didn't realize he wanted for a his own family.
Elsa had lived through hurt and pain in her marriage and lives to keep her daughter safe. when her ex husband continues to try and run her life she marries a man she knew years ago to keep them safe. Many things happen but the important part is the that she realizes that not all men are the same and prehaps she can trust the alphhole and make a marriage of it.
I love this series, the characters are great, well written with a chemistry off the charts, every book makes you exited to read the next story. However the plot gets more repetitive every book - Boy and girl get fake married, they want to because of superficial motives (Christian, Theresa, Seb) but one is to spy and betray them (Aurora, Axel, Elsa) they break up and then make up. - Always the same thing again and again with different background, so I just couldn't finish this one.
I hope the next one gets more creative and at least has a different plot.
