The Ritual is a dark, gritty and twistedly-sexy book, it does have triggers and I’d even admit it’s more black than grey, but go in dark, because with a couple like this, it seriously intriguingly perfect.

You will not be disappointed, dark lovers with love this book.

Okay, so it took me a little longer than normal to devour this book. I get sucked in pretty quickly with Shantel’s worlds and I wanted to savour this one and I’m so glad I did. This book is dark and twisty and best to go in blind but if you please read the TW!!

Blake and Ryat’s story is one rollercoaster of a ride from start to finish!! You get everything you expect from a Shantel Tessier story and more!! These characters are made for one another and their story just shows you can find the inner strength you didn’t know you had.

The prologue sucks you in and the epilogue spits you back out like you just watched the most intense movie on the planet! Their story has your heart racing and sitting on the edge of your seat. I could not put it down I spent the whole time trying to work out where it was going and I did not see those twists and turns.

This book was absolutely amazing, had me sitting at the edge of my seat with everything going on. The emotions, the blood spilled, the lies, the drama and the domination. It hits every emotion while reading this, the domination and the control has you wanting to know more and more. Where will this go?? Is it getting hot while reading this or is it me?? Phew!! Your mind runs wild with the pictures you are seeing while reading this.

Ryat, wants to become a lord he has assignments that he needs to do, he can’t deny the lords. But what he wasn’t expecting was a girl to be his assignment, she had been chosen to be his. The emotions and the assignments that he has to go on keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens and where it will go??

Blake has been told she will marry one person but what she doesn’t know is that one person could make her feel less confident, unloved and unchallenged. When she bumps into a hard wall that turns out to be Ryat, was that an accident or did he plan that to happen??
Blake’s life turns into a rollercoaster full of sensual emotions and emotions where she doesn’t know where to run.

This book will be the best read of your life from 2022. All I say is you won’t get sleep, you’ll be begging for more.

Is there more?? Will there be another?? Uncertain questions that need to be answered.

I absolutely love reading books from this author they always captivate you and this dark romance is a must read,

Ryat and Blakely will pull you into there world and leave you desperate for more.

Ryat is part of a secret society in the house of lords and is a real alpha male he is someone you really do not want to mess with. He is very dominant and always likes everything his way, so when he gets told her needs to be with Blakey at all cost he goes with it even though she wasn't on his radar until she was. He likes that he doesn't back down easily and this is part of the attraction for him.

Blakely is a curious soul and she wants to live and feel what is like to be wanted and after so long of wanting to feel desired when she actually does get noticed she cant get enough but the problem is that if she's not careful she will get herself into a lot of trouble.

This book is a great read with a lot of twists that the reader wont see coming, its full of action, drama and secrets. I loved the hot and steamy scenes throughout and this book was full to the brim with hotness and you will need a cold shower after reading this one, I love this authors writing style and how she brings the characters to life on the page and even though this book is a little darker that what this author normally writes its a totally epic read that you will love and I really hope that this author writes more in this world. I definitely recommend this book.

I was hooked from the first page. Shantel has given us another fabulous story that could so easily morph into a series. The story is woven around an exclusive club where the young initiates have three years to prove themselves. The rules are set in stone, the penalty for betrayal is death. Basically, arranged marriages within the club are the norm. Children of the Lords are promised at a very young age. In the case of Blakely she was promised to a Lord in waiting who left a lot to be desired so her father, a senior Lord, manipulated that she be 'chosen' by one of their best young Lords, Ryat. Needless to say, her boyfriend isn't too thrilled and the story takes off from that point on. The scene around Ryat and Blakes relationship is pretty steamy.
I really enjoyed this book and am hoping that there will be other stories to tell. Great potential for a series

Holyyyyy Hell! 🥵 I got myself so hyped for this one, and it surpassed any expectation I had going in to it.

This was so unique and original, the whole secret society trope is spectacular! It was so refreshing to read something I've never come across before, and I know some of you will resonate with this because those of us who favour the darker side to romance may find it hard to find some new avenue or dark romance with these exciting twists.

But not only that, it has so much substance to it, its not just the classic college romance with the bad boy that a lot of us love, no no! It's dangerous, gripping, alluring and intense. We get rivalry, betrayal, gore, secrets, manipulation and revenge. The story is adrenaline pumping, eye opening and wow does it get the uh ..... juices .... flowing

Look ok, Y'all kept saying how amazing Ryat Archer is, how's he's top Book Boyfriend material and I kept thinking to myself, well I mean he can't be THAT amazing, right? Uh WRONG! So wrong, Emma! Any doubts I had were wiped away the second he makes an appearance, I got love drunk in his emerald eyes, cocky smirk and questionable methods. The terrifying adonis who goes absolutely feral! *chefs kiss* If you look into the sunset now you can see his lordship strolling up to take his rightful spot in my top Book Boyfriends league table.

Ok so apart from Ryat, what else did I love?

• Blakely, she is such an interesting mix of confident but untrusting, innocent but feisty and curious. Brave, strong and stubborn.

• The settings, they are out of this world insane! The old cathedral, the woods, the Lords House, they're all so vivid and stunning! I adored the gothic and dark vibes.

• And I'm sorry but the spice?! Literally off the charts hot.

I could talk about this all day! Trust me if you love your romance dark, gritty, murderous and smutty then go in for The Ritual

....there's no denying the hype behind this book, the warnings the author herself gives, as well as other reviews so you know it's going to be dark!!!...and it is! Deliciously so....

This was different from other books because although it involves a secret society, people knew of it, they just didn't know what happens in it! And what happens in it?.... you'll have to find that out for yourself!!

I really enjoyed it, it's dark, it's sexy, it's dangerous, full of secrets and surprises and it had me glued to my screen!
I most definitely recommend it, just be aware of the triggers because it's definitely not for the faint-hearted!!

⚠️ CNC, dub-con, murder, kidnapping, drugging, knife play. Might have missed a couple.

I'll start by saying...if you don't enjoy dark books or anything mentioned in the warning...this book isn't for you.

I very much enjoyed this, and had a difficult time putting it down. Ryat is just 🥵 Dangerous and protective and has the whole "touch her and die" vibe that would be annoying IRL but make the very best book boyfriends.

There may be things in this book that make you uncomfortable or even angry. I personally love books that make you feel, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Recommended for dark romance lovers.

I completed this book in 1 day. I loved the storyline, there was always something going on and an element of suspense. Some books can go overkill on too much action, however the author was able to pack in the action in a concise and succinct way that didn’t take away from the thrill of the storyline.
So much happens throughout this book and I’ve been left for the first time ever being satisfied with one book I have a level of contentment that usually only comes with completing a trilogy!! . It was so well written. I am now following this author and hoping the rest of the books by this author are just as good
