I have been waiting for this book for a while now. I wanted to see the other side of the coin. What were the heirs thinking? What made them do what they did?
This book was everything I wanted and even more.
I didn't think I could hate Lionel more than I did but it's possible, my hatred for him is even stronger and fiercer.
Reading this book made me understand to another Level that some events were bound to happen, needed to happen, even though each time I re-read I wish something
wouldn't go bad or else.

If you haven't read them yet I highly suggest reading till book 5 or 6 in Zodiac Academy, it will help you reading this book to remember that now you like the heirs. It will help to no hate them too much 😂😂😂.

I got my fix of Zodiac with this book and now I got a taste I need more.

I don’t usually reread books, it bores me… but even if I found some parts a little long (only because I already knew the story) I almost preferred this version … I fell in love with Darius all over again , Even if I didn’t want to forgive him .. I did (a little) I loved being in his head ! So of course It made me want to read the rest ... I forgot how this series had frustrated me.. I can’t wait for sequel !!

This one was just like the main series, but I suppose it had to be to keep the bs consistent. Knowing now that Lance had Gabriel telling him to look to the light and follow the light repeatedly after he kept saying to himself that Darcy was like sunlight to him and that Darcy’s magic signature was light and warm (sun) and Tory’s felt like dark and cool (moon), it’s ridiculous to me how stupid he was about the premonitions given to him. Also, now knowing that Gabe was involved in seeing Lance’s future with Darcy, why doesn’t he know who he is to them? If he can see Lance’s future, then surely he sees him with them as well.

Caleb still remains the only mature level headed heir of them all. His thoughts and actions are more mature that the others hands down. He can be silly, but not when it counts.

I never understood why Darius and Lance didn’t just find somewhere to hide Xavier from Lionel. Clearly Gabe has been hidden for years and no one was the wiser. Gabe may have even been able to help with that. I know it would still leave Catalina at his mercy, but that would be another bridge to cross if it came to it.

Max’s motivation to hurt the twins is still lacking. He has no real purpose except to help Darius not suffer the consequences of the fear he feels towards his father. With that said and him being empathetic, I would have reasoned that he would have suggested something less deadly to do. He said that he wouldn’t let her die, yet she was unconscious and still being tossed around in torrential water underneath the ice while sinking to the bottom of the pool when Lance dove in! Like, seriously? How much longer where they going to keep her there? She was practically dead!

I feel like Max deserves the worst fate for his actions for his part in it. None of them, aside for Caleb but just just, deserve to be leader of Solaria. They teamed up on an untrained fae, combining their power to subdue her under the water when she proved stronger than Max alone. That was very unfae, the very principle they are supposed to be unholding and proving that the twins are not fae.

These boys need a moment of self, and group, reflection that I have yet to see and have read book 7. Not once in all those books had they really realized what they did wrong or how their actions make them not fit to rule. They only talk about it in a narcissistic way by saying it’s the girls fault as they wouldn’t be good leaders because they know nothing about Solaria or fae and how they are more educated than them so it was justified. Or if they hadn’t have come back, they wouldn’t have had to do this to them. Always blaming the twins for their actions, or if not them, their parents. They act like the twins asked to come there, especially Lance, which is absurd.

Even in book 7 despite them working together, they still fail to acknowledge that the council was designed to work for Vega royalty and in doing so it would be setting things back to rights, from their birthright being stolen from them at the hands of at least one of the councilors! They still deny the girls their rightful place and refuse to acknowledge that they are ACTUALLY royalty and they they themselves are basically usurpers of their throne. But it will probably be book 15 before that happens. They story is so drawn out with unnecessary commentary and inner monologues that are repeated every POV chapter with very little new information taking place for pages on in. I can say that this one had less of that, only a few from Lance and Darius.

I was hoping this would shed some light on some things from the main story as the reviews stated, but I have come to realize those reviews are padded as their was very little revealed here of significance despite their exaltations from the heavens about how good it was. Most of it you could deduce from context clues in the main story but was spelled out here for confirmation. No real insight from their POVs that wasn’t already known from the main, like we knew how Lance felt attracted to Darcy and Darius’ attraction to Tory. It was cute to see the initial rivalry between Darius and Caleb though.

In conclusion, this was really a waste of time even if it was a lot shorter than the main books. It took me a lot longer to read though because it was so boring and wasn’t giving any real new information. But to each his own. Happy Reading. Seeing this in the guy's POV really helped clear up some questions that lingered on way they chose to do some of the dumb things they do to Darcy and Tory. I definitely understand some of them more but Seth and Max are still very low on my like list. More so Max than Seth at this point. I really wanna keep liking Darius and for now I do I just hope he starts listening to Orion on the choices they make. The further into this series I get the more hatred I have for Lionel.

I'm patiently waiting until Darius gets to that point where he puts him in his place. Caleb and Tory....now that's a scene I think I prefer in Caleb's POV. The girls are resilient I'll give them that cause these boys have no intention on backing down and now that we got a glimpse into their parents and how exactly their pushing the heirs it's bound to get even more interesting.

I loved, and I don't say that word lightly, all of it and I'm left empty without the ending. I will wait patiently for book 7 & 8 and hate it. This series is a Must for those who enjoy this genre. I thank both of you (authors) for providing me with such a fantastic escape mechanism from my existence. The turns & twists, the love & hate pull within the characters & story itself kept me captured throughout. Thank you. And, for those of you who haven't read this yet, just do. You won't regret it.

I feel so bad for Darius in this book, the things Lionel made him and the things he did to Darius and Xavier, freaking harsh! I hate Lionel so much, he’s such a freaking loser! This book helped me understand Darius way more and know why he did what he did! It’s also funny to me they way the Heirs talk about the Vegas when now we know

This was an eye opener read. We get to see what the boys actually think of Darcy and Tory and the struggles they have to make their parents happy by getting ride of them. We see Orion and Darius drawn to Darcy and Tory and the confusion it causes them. The struggle with wanting them but destroying them in the process. Caleb is the only one who really would rather not destroy them but see what they can do and that really makes u like him even more. This side of the story really gives us the insight we need to continue on with a better understanding. It really does give u the hope that the boys will one day redeem themselves with the girls and really make us realize just how much we hate Lionel he is truly brutal and despicable to both his family and anyone who stands in his way.

Zodiac Academy is pretty much tied for my favorite series ever! I'm currently doing a re-read before reading book 8 and this ia book I hadn't read yet in the series. I'm glad I hadn't read it from the start though. I loved the suspense of not really knowing about the boys and the intelligent way the authors very slowly made you release the hatred and grow to like and care for them.

That said, it was wonderful to read now! Helped me to re-connect with all of the characters and made me like Orion and Darcy's story a little more.

10/10 highly recommend all books in this series! These authors are spectacular writers and smart as a whip!

Wish we had more books from boys point of views. This was really interesting to read. This gave insight into why they did what they did, but...yeah, the consequences they dealt with later on they deserved them.
