Two days in life. They can change your hole world. As they do for Taylen and Elodie.
Sight, that was so very cute this book. And it helds the world longest behind the door scene I know of. Wow! I didn’t count the pages but it sure felt like that! The wording is amazing as always with Lindsey Hart, but this one was a notch up. I laughed so much and hard! My preferred chapter? It holds a dog and a cake and lots of tongue….
Now the wait for Leandra and her cursed one. Poor guy…

Le récit démarre sur les chapeaux avec Taylen qui aide sa meilleure amie depuis l’enfance, Elodie pour fuir son mariage arrangé.
On retrouve tous les personnages un peu timbrés de cette série (notamment la malicieuse grand-mère de Taylen), et le point important : alors que Taylen a décidé de ne pas avoir de relation avec sa meilleure amie qu’il a toujours protégée et avec qui il a un accord, comment contrer la malédiction qui les poussent l’un vers l’autre.
L’histoire est marrante, tendre, et devient très tendue dès que Taylen découvre que sa grand-mère l’a piégé, comme ses frères et sœurs.

Lindsey Hart is a brilliant author. All the ingredients for a great love story. A crazy grandma who gives her grandchildren cursed items to find their soulmates, romance with a convoluted journey to get to their HEA's. This is Taylen and Elodie's story. Elodie has been brow beaten into marrying some long-named man whom she doesn't love. Her plan, get her long time friend, Taylen to pick her up from the alter. Which he does but not before she thinks she is going to have to take things into her own hands. The plan to go out of town for a week then return to face the music. In the car is Jeffers, Elodie's slobbery mastiff and her wedding cake. In line with the Cromwell cake tradition, Taylen has gone one step further and stolen her wedding cake, which they leave on the road side. Their next dilemma is the room in the motel does not have two beds as planned but only one. Then the cursed piece of jewelry makes its debut. Apparently Taylen's meddling grandma gave it to Elodie to wear on her wedding day. So the madness begins. But as with his brother and cousins, fighting the curse (and his grandma) is futile. I loved this one this is definitely THE funniest one so far. I was laughing so hard that I couldn't read for the tears rolling down my face. There is the usual family meetings/interferences, the cake licking which this time the siblings are spectacularly upstaged. A challenge that the siblings are no doubt going to meet in the next book. This is a 10 star one for me.

I have stuck with this series of books as I like the premise of the cursed heirlooms, and the owners being led to their soul mates. What I find a bit ridiculous is the author's use of "cutesy" language! I find it hard to believe that any man would add "stickle" to a swear word, or indeed use the kind of flowery girlish expressions to describe emotions! When she starts to twitter on about cats riding llamas it ruins the whole thing (for me anyway!) Do the Americans still use the expression 'dang'? I thought it would have been stopped a hundred years ago?!!! I found myself substituting my own swear words and language to get through them all! Despite this I found all the cousins etc nice characters and the romance, when they finally get down to it, enjoyable. Finally, I don't think that these books should be described as comedy, the only thing that I found funny in this book was the text chat about the boys having a fartoff! Maybe it's my sense of humour?

A throughly enjoyable read.
It was well written. Had some good, comically entertaining moments too.
My only negative was that towards the end, the descriptive became a tad OTT. A little too sickly sweet and unrealistic for me.
Having said that the storyline brought back some wonderful memories, as my hubby and I started as best friends. And 28+ years later, we still are.
This author is definitely one I shall be reading again.

Even though it’s past the time for a fun easy beach read, this one totally fits the bill and it’s addicting enough to read all the way through! I did this book in a day!

Although you do not need to read the other books in the series to understand what’s going on, the whole series is charming and hilarious with many laugh out loud moments.

Crazy moments, crazy situation, crazy family, curses, some great one-liners and an adorable story! A really cute happily ever after and I can’t wait till the next book in the series to see what the next cursed object is!

If you’re looking for some fun and funny, do yourself a favor and grab this book!

OMG!!! This series just keeps getting better! Welcome to the trials and tribulations of being a Cromwell! Grandmother Helen is at it again, interfering in her grandchildren lives again. She's given each grandchildren a cursed item which will lead them to their soulmate and love of their life. There's been a ring, that brought Ash and Ellis together; a bracelet that brought Toren and Luna together; a necklace that Kirian and Luna together. Now it's time for Taylen, Toren's twin brother to have his cursed object unite him with his soulmate. It starts out with Taylen's best friend, Elodie, standing at the altar getting ready to marry the man her parents picked out for her. At least that what it looks like outwardly. She has a deal with Taylen to help her escape from this unwanted wedding. So, Taylen starts a small garbage can fire, pulls the fire alarm and has the get away truck parked at the curb with Elodie's dog, suitcases and a "special" surprise loaded in it. They take off and a couple of blocks away, Taylen reveals that he's stolen the four tier wedding cake from the reception hall and did in fact lack every layer of it. It's a Cromwell tradition to lick cakes. Elodie tells him to leave it so he assembles it on the sidewalk, takes a selfie of him and the cake, and off they go on their way to Natchez where they will hide out for a week before returning to New Orleans. Hopefully her parents will be over their anger about the botched wedding by this time. Taylen asks Elodie to text the selfie of him and the cake to a group text with his family members and their significant others. She does, but she includes in the comments a reference to embarrassing moments in Taylen's past. They stop for gas and Taylen gets a chance to read the numerous comments from the group text and is confused by them until he reads the text that started it all off. He is absolutely mad at Elodie for texting what she did. She says the reason she did it was because she was mad at him for cutting it so close to getting her out of her wedding. They finally arrive at the hole in the wall motel in Natchez and they're not talking to each other. They eventually get over their argument because that's what best friends do. Elodie then tells Taylen that she has something for him. She attempts to hand him a velour bag but he refuses to accept it. He asks where the hell did she get that. She explains that his grandmother gave it to her the night before her wedding and she had to accept it or it would've shown her hand of running out on her wedding. She removes the object from the bag and it's a broach that pricks her finger and draws blood. She puts it back in the bag and puts it to the side. That night she has fantasies about Taylen, wakes up and now really sees how attractive and wonderful he is. She keeps this to herself because they made a pact a long time ago to not do anything that would negatively impact their friendship. The next morning, Taylen steps out of bed and steps directly onto the broach and it draws blood. Next, Taylen has fantasies about Elodie and it's at this point he tells her to pack her bags that they're heading back to New Orleans to go visit his grandmother to break this curse. I'll leave you here and you'll have to get the book to find out what happens next. Let's just say it's a rollicking fun time. Whew! It's a laugh a minute in this sexy, rom-com and it's well worth the price of admission for this one. I can't recommend this one highly enough; it is worth it on so many different levels. Kudos to the author for another hit in this series!

I laughed so hard, I now have Silly giggles, or as my sons'like to say, stupid giggles where you cannot stop!
From the beginning, with Elodie's mental soliloquy at the Alter, I was already dying. Then when Taylon saves her from saying her part of the vows, late because he had to steal the wedding cake, I was completely rolling!
This novel in this series was absolutely a hoot and it matched Tay's personality perfectly. Elodie was his soulmate since childhood, and their personalities, completely made for one another!
I have laughed myself silly in each novel, but this matched the main characters perfectly!
I cannot wait for Leandra's!

I loved the story of 2 best friends growing up since young children,discover ,that all along, They have been in love, with each other. Ell and her parents needed to communicate a lot better.. So sensual and hot, when they discovered their touching, kissing, admitting, they discovered their love. They weren't afraid to explore a new side of their friendship into something more. Sex and love making was great
Wanted to be in Taylen's arms myself.
