**This is book 6 of the 6part Brutal Birthright series. If you haven’t already delved into the previous 5 books, strongly suggest that you do! It will make your understanding of the characters and family dynamics within this incredible finale much better and enhance your reading experience ten fold!**

Wow!! I am utterly blown away by this incredibly intense and immersive finale. Through reading the previous 5 books I’ve come to love all the main Gallo and Griffin families and their respective partners.

This last part finally brings us the story of Sebastian. He’s always been the athletic, cheeky and playful youngest son of Italian Mafia boss, Enzo Gallo. Never remotely interested in joining the family business, he’d always focused his future on his talent for basketball. That is until his dream (and his knee) is shattered. The turning point in his life. The day his future became less clear. Ever since his been bumbling around, never quite understanding where he fits in.

As his brothers, Dante and Nero and sister, Aida have all found the love of their lives... Seb is feeling out of place. The eldest brother, Dante, has decided to leave the country to finally settle down with his wife and children. Nero is shacked up with his girlfriend Camille and making the most of their new mechanics business and the lucrative South Shore development. Aida is the wife of Cal Griffin, practically the head of the Irish Mafia but also running for Myor of Chicago. Their son Miles is the heir that has fused Chicago’s two most powerful families together. A force to be reckoned with... or targeted by those wishing to topple their ever growing empire.

Who and what will be sacrificed to regain what has been stolen. And who will be toppled to take Chicago’s crown?

Heavy Crown is an epic, cathartic and all-consuming conclusion to what has been a rollercoaster of a journey through the lives of these Mafia powerhouses. I’ve loved every story for their own individual reasons... if I had one slight complaint... I wanted more Raylan Boone as he’s definitely my favourite.... but other than that, I cannot recommend this series enough.

The brutal birthright series is spine tinglingly romantic, severely sexy, emphatically erotic, powerfully passionate and seriously steamy whilst giving amazing storylines that are well structured and interesting. And my goodness, Sophie Lark sure knows how to throw a few curved balls and plot twists. I’ll definitely be reading more by this author.

series finale of the brutal birthright series and it definitely goes out with a bang!

sebastian gallo is the youngest son in the gallo family. with all of his siblings now partnered off, he’s feeling a little lost. with his future in limbo after getting his knee smashed in by his brother in law’s bodyguard, he gave up his dream of going pro as a basketball player (all water under the bridge now, obviously👀), he’s unsure what his future holds. he was a good boy, never one to get involved with the jobs in his mafia family — but that’s soon all about to change.

he meets the beautiful yelena one night while walking home one night, he saves her from being thrown into the back of a van.. or so he thinks he did😉. yelena is daughter of the new russian mafia’s boss (because sebastian’s dad, enzo killed their last one — we keeping up still?🤣).

sebastian’s character development throughout the whole series was just incredible to watch unfold, he goes from good boy to this absolute (completely unexpected) boss🥹 i’m so proud of him! so many shocking turns, heartbreaking chapters but also heartwarming ones! sooo much drama and suspense!

i’m really sad this series is over, i absolutely loved it! i love a good mafia romance! i’m excited to start kingmakers next (and by next i mean at some point in the near future, just working through my tbr🤣) which is the follow on series from this one and it’s about their kids!! such easy reads i flew through this series so quickly, high recommend🥰 my favourite out of this whole series is nero gallo, it was love at first read and he’s had me ever since (although, raylan comes a very close second and nearly gave him a run for his money🙊).

New to Sophie, but so glad I picked up Brutal Prince, which lead me to this Fab series of books. I devoured each one and all of them had a different angle to what it could be like being part of a Mafia family. Sebastian's story had everything. Quite sad in some way, as we'd followed his story through all the books and he could have had a different life before his life changing injury. Even his father, the head of the mafia a family had hoped Sebastian's life would work out differently. Events took over though and as soon as Sebastian met Yelena you knew things were going to blow up for everyone. A good book to me, has you holding your breath when you can sense that something horrific is about to happen. The wedding scene was that, the terms ' nail biting ' jaw dropping' 'heart wrenching', were made especially for that. we weren't given time to absorb what happened as everything was happening so quickly. One thing I wished had gone so differently was Yelenas relationship with Aidan , her brother. They'd been so close. Shows how sometimes circumstances can be thrust upon you, single decisions can lead to catastrophic events.
It looks like we're going to get more from their family dynamics in the Kingmaker series, about the next generation, can't wait.

Wow! This story may have been the ending of the Brutal Birthright Series and it is such a strong ending but with an opening for the next series done so well. I cannot wait for the Kingmakers series to come out.
Sebastian Gallo may be the youngest and thought to be the least to be dangerous or brutal, but he proved his right to be a Gallo in this story. I loved Dante and Nero, but Sebastian is a brutal, sexy, powerful man in his own right.
Yelena Yenin is just a pawn in her father’s world of power, corruption, death and revenge. She has her own hopes and dreams but has to play her father’s games if she wants to survive.
This story is brutal, bloody and powerful. It is action packed from the very beginning all the way to the end. The families are trying to find a peaceful life, but it seems that nothing works their way and when Sebastian meets Yelena, and their worlds start to collide and then crash everything is in danger of crashing to the ground and leaving havoc, death and destruction in its wake. The three powerful families will fight again, and even with the allies that the Gallo’s have by their side, they could lose a lot in this battle. This story also brought a closer ally to the Gallo’s and their strength will come through in the end. I hate to see Brutal Birthright end, it’s been a roller coaster of emotions to read, but the Kingmakers looks to be another great series by Ms. Lark. I love her story telling and her characters no matter what series I am reading, and I cannot wait to read the next one. I give this story a 5-star review and will wait semi patiently for her next book.

The sixth and final book in the Brutal Birthright series.
We follow the youngest Gallo brother, Sebastian. Who had his future destroyed by Callum Griffin's orders. Will he find a new path or will his anger eat him alive.

I hate how females in Mafia are used as bargaining chips but I so love how feisty & fierce Yelena is.
She knows what she wants and will kill to get it, no matter how scared she is.
She's the perfect match to bring out the monster inside Seb, he needed that side to survive.

A really enjoyable and well finished series.
I can't wait to follow Leo into school

Because I finished the book! Now because I found her latest series first, I know what happens next, with the next generation. But I’ve still got earlier books to read……
I never want these books to end. I really cannot believe one woman (with an absolute kick ass taste in music I might add) has conjured up such detailed, intricate characters and plot lines. As I read it’s always like I’m seeing it in my mind, like a film. And I’m always book hungover after. I’m not telling you plot or any spoilers, I never do - that’s not my job. But what I will say us, YOU NEED THIS SERIES in your life, absolutely.

A really enjoyable book plenty to keep u entertained .....for me personally this book wasn’t as gritty as the first 2 books though having said that I was really quite shocked at the way Enzo was taken out 😱.... I’m really happy that the author has decided to entertain us some more with follow on books that are about the next generation can’t wait to find out what in store for them 👍🏼

Ok.so I have jyst finished the last book of the bark mafia romance and I have got to say they where absolutely amazing every single one of them couldn't put the down I have loved reading and getting to know every character and o love ghat every book has all the characters from this first to the last book In them there are so many twist to the streets but you never have to wait to Ser the outcome in the next book they all come to a conclusion and the romance OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Hot isn't the word i.would use for that I honestly loved the whole series of book they honestly are a must read I am know going to start the kingsmaker and can't wait to see what Sophie lark has in store for these book

Wow what a end to this series, absolutely loved Sebastian and couldn't wait for his story. Was not disappointed he is so sweet but if you cross him he totally goes dark, love it and can't wait for the children of these characters to come to life, I just know the action, betrayal and lust is going to be off the scale!
