I smiled a lot while reading Rushed. A breath of fresh air on the wildness outdoors of Montana where Cybil would learn a lot about herself and find love along the way.

And that meet cute… sweet and funny. When Cybil met Tanner, the chemistry was already there and the banter, very promising! A challenging adventure for both, sweet and bubbly.

Cybil was for once leaving her hometown and family for a week. To get away from all the people who looked at her with pity after her breakup with her high school sweetheart. A trip far away, with such beautiful landscapes, peacefulness and also for the presence of the wilderness retreat owner, who made her feel too much. She is a sunshine, caring and sweet but definitely no damsel in distress.

Tanner was busy with his wilderness adventure company, created with his other two friends. When he managed to stick with the rules, Cybil’s participation in this couple’s retreat alone made him want to break the rules, since the chemistry was too strong to ignore. A man loyal to his friends and not afraid to speak his mind.

I appreciated reading their journey, when things went fast for sure but so naturally. Smooth but not without some hardships along the way. This was a great start for this series and I can’t wait to read more!!

These two get started off on the wrong foot, but that quickly changes when they get paired up on what is supposed to be a couple’s retreat. Cybil shows up single and without a partner due to the retreat being non-refundable and her ex fiance calling off the wedding. Cybil gets paired with the guide, Tanner, and since quite a bit of the activities are focused on trust building and working together, they quickly form a connection. These two do fall pretty fast for each other, but it didn’t diminish the depth of their feelings in my opinion.

Tanner has immediately been added to my book boyfriend list and I am probably the most selective person I know when it comes to book boyfriends! He is so incredibly sweet with the intimate and quiet way he always talks to her or checks on her and with the reassuring soft touches to her thigh or hand. He’s sooooo considerate with all the things he does to make sure she’s comfortable and taken care of. But, don’t be fooled by his sweet side because even though he's smitten with Cybil, he can be deliciously alpha at times too! I was so happy when Tanner refused to fall for attempts to push him away or downplay feelings. I was wholeheartedly amused by him not rinsing dishes before putting them into the dishwasher, because it's such a typical thing to do and it just showed that he’s not completely perfect 😆

I admired how Cybil stood up for herself, especially to those that she was close with, when they weren’t approving of her decisions. When people doubted her abilities or accused her of having certain advantages, I enjoyed her determination to prove them wrong! She took a chance to do something that was completely out of character for her and it was probably the most rewarding experience because not only did she accomplish things she didn’t know she could do, but she also met Tanner from it!

I really appreciated how the entirety of the book didn’t consist of just the camping trip/retreat. The book continued on well after they returned from the camping trip so we got a chance to see how they interacted with it being just the two of them in a typical, everyday setting. I was extremely pleased with how everything worked out for them and the changes they made in order to be together.

One way to know that I absolutely loved a book is if I immediately purchase a paperback copy for my shelves and that is exactly what I did with this book! It has easily made it into my top ten reads from this year so far! I can’t wait to see what else this series has in store and I’m crossing my fingers and toes in hopes that Mason and Margret will get a book!

I have loved my first ever Aurora Rose Reynolds book and I am, without a doubt, going to be picking up more of her books! Having Rushed be available for ‘read now’ on NetGalley, combined with this gorgeous cover, I was giddy at being able to read this one and now that I’ve consumed it in a day, I don’t know what life is going to be like without Cybil and Tanner to keep me company!

After her eight-year relationship falls apart, Cybil decides to go on the couples retreat she and her ex had planned together. Except, she’s going alone. But Cybil has decided that she’s not going to let the collapse of her relationship define who she is or take away from the fact that she can enjoy something so wonderful. What she doesn’t expect is to meet Tanner, the guide for their retreat and her partner, and feel everything just by being around him. For Tanner, meeting Cybil is like being doused with a cold bucket of water. He’s worked hard to set up this business with his two best friends and Marine buddies, and the last thing he wants is to meet a woman coming off heartbreak and fall for her. But when they’re spending every waking minute of a week together, it becomes impossible to ignore.

Cybil is an incredible character and entirely relatable. She’s looking for herself after eight years of being someone else. After losing her mother and then her fiancé, Cybil realises that she needs to start doing things for herself. The wilderness, hiking and camping are not her cup of tea, but with the trip having been booked she takes a chance. I love how much Cybil grows through the book. She’s always come across as cautious and someone who thinks before she leaps, but with this trip, she leaps first. Cybil is also a tough woman and she’s not going to let anybody tear her down. I love her fierceness and independence, and the journey through her self discovery.

Tanner is so swoony! He’s a rough and tumble guy, who has spent his years working with his hands – first in the Marines and now as a wilderness guide. He’s lumberjack hot, without the beard, but he’s also a softy. Tanner doesn’t hesitate to step up and help Cybil whenever necessary, but he also keeps his distance when she needs it. I love how much work he put into making sure Cybil didn’t feel left out since she was the only single person at the retreat, but he also doesn’t make her feel weak. PLUS, his love for his friends and his found family just filled me with so much love for this man.

Their relationship is beautiful. It’s a slow burn and low angst, but it’s so wonderful. With a whole heap of forced proximity and sharing one tent, it’s only a matter of time before they stop fighting their attraction. I loved how even though Tanner was the guide and had to take care of everyone, he made special time for Cybil to help her explore and see the world differently. He also didn’t fight her battles for her because he knows that Cybil is strong enough to defend herself. I really enjoyed watching them come to terms with how they feel about each other and all of the excitement that comes with a new relationship. It’s an instant attraction, but neither of them give into that right away and I enjoyed how Aurora Rose Reynolds makes you fall in love with them while they’re falling in love with each other.

And I must not forget all the found families in this book! The most important people in Cybil and Tanner’s lives are those they are not related to by blood and their love, support and unrelenting patience completes this story. And now, I can’t wait to see who comes next, because I want it all!

If you are looking for simple romance with a bit of actions and fun I definitely recommend this book for you

This has to be one of my favourite books by Aurora Rose Reynolds! I just listened to it on audio for the first time (after reading the book when it came out) and I fell in love with these guys all over again! 10/10!

This read takes you on a wonderful journey with two strangers brought together by fate. You get romance, drama, spice, snark, and even a little bit of suspense.

Cybil was supposed to be on a couples retreat with her boyfriend. Correction: he is now her *ex-boyfriend.* After he broke up with her with the whole "it's me, not you" spiel, Cybil was stuck with a nonrefundable trip to Montana with a bunch of couples.

Not before she has a run-in with the charming Tanner only to turn him down for being an inconsiderate jerk. It turns out that she will meet him again...as her guide at the wilderness retreat, and since she's joining the trip solo, he's also been assigned to her partner. Will Tanner be the key to fixing Cybil's broken heart?

I loved Cybil and Tanner's meet-cute. Their banter just makes for an entertaining introduction that will have you impatiently anticipating the moment they both realize they are meant to be. Until then, Aurora Rose Reynolds builds the tension through their snarky exchanges and interesting adventures during the retreat.

Their relationship was definitely a slow burn (despite the insta-lust/love), but the pay-off was a hot, sizzling fire.

I love the interactions not just between the main characters, but the shenanigans of their fellow campers were entertaining also. There was a moment of action/suspense that was a nice shot of adrenaline during the read. There was a little bit of a lull after the retreat was over. It does pick up again during the climax, and it was great from there, but the slow pace did take me out of the story a bit.

The ensemble of characters is fantastic. This works well as a standalone, but I am looking forward to the other stories. I especially would love to see love's retribution on Blake for being a ninny.

The story takes place in the north west. The main female character seems to just keep getting herself in trouble, but all is well in the end. You might need a little bit of Kleenex, but overall it’s all smiles until the end.

Cybil and Tanner are so sweet. I sat here and swooned all the way through this book. It was an amazing start to a fantastic new series by this author, and i can't wait to read Blake and Maverick's stories. Amazing five-star read that I couldn't put down.

Rushed is the first book in the Adventures in Love series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. This author is still rather new-to-me and I am so glad I discovered her since her books are so entertaining. The series is based on three ex-military men who started a business, Live Life Adventures, together which offers tours in the Montana wilderness. This is Tanner and Cybil’s story.
After being dumped days before her wedding with no explanation from her childhood friend and fiancé, Cybil needs to get away from their small town. Since she had already paid for a non-refundable couples retreat in Montana, she decided to go by herself. She never expected to fall for Tanner, one of the retreat owners.
Being the tour guide for the couple’s retreat, Tanner became Cybil’s partner while in the wilderness. Tanner and his friends had a rule of never sleeping with a client, but all bets were off at the end of the tour. Will they want to risk their hearts when they live miles apart?
The book was well written, and the pacing was perfect. Tanner and Cybil’s characters had many layers and the side characters really helped contribute to the story. Their adventure would not have been the same without the side characters and all their funny episodes. Cybil and Tanner had an instant spark in their cute-meet, which was unique. I really enjoyed the book and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

Cybil’s had a bit of a rough go of it lately, the biggest being that her fiancé broke up with a few days before the wedding and now she’s going on a couple’s retreat by herself. It will be a good break from everyone in her town giving her the pitying look she’s starting to grow used to, but it could be better if she wasn’t doing this alone.

Tanner has built his adventure company with his best friends, and they have some set rules that have allowed them to find the success they have, the biggest being never getting involved with a client. Enter Cybil, a beautiful woman with a beautiful sprit that he just can’t give up. Can they find a way to this work when they are from different states?

Rushed was low-angst, easy read with a cute story. I enjoyed the experience of and am looking forward to continuing the series. There was hint of mystery/suspense which was a nice bonus for my mood reader brain. I didn’t love the slight insta-love/lust of the story, but it also didn’t have a major impact on my enjoyment of the story. I like that Cybil and Tanner were able to really communicate with each other which made for an external third act conflict which is always a huge bonus for me.

I enjoyed the story and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the following:
