The fifth and final installment from the “Hellfire Club” series is here and it is absolutely FIRE!

When I started this book, I promised myself that I am going to take my time while reading, but all that promises went flying out the window the minute I picked up the book. After the first page I was long gone. This book is so addictive, it is absolute perfection and I was so sad when I reached the ending, because all I wished was that I could go and read this book forever and ever.

This book is so amazing, and so good written, I loved every second of it. Once I got my hands on it, there was no turning back. I had to read it in one sitting, not taking any breaks, practically I devoured the entire book without breathing.

Like the other books from this series, this one was as good, if not even better. Becker Gray did again an amazing job while writing and creating this book. I can’t get enough of this series. I still can’t believe that this is the last book of the series, that this is the end. I crave so much more of these Hellfire boys.

The characters are well build, the actions is not rushed and I really enjoyed the fact that I got to be there, at every moment with the characters. This story has everything: the perfect amount of angst, beautiful and loyal friendship, fluff, love and so much steamy moments. It is definitely a must read!

My man Rhys finally got his book and it was everything I had hoped for. I mean even though this man is fictional, he owns me and I love him with all I have. If you hear someone screaming, that’s me fangirling over my man.

I knew that I was going to love Rhys since I first got my eyes on him in the first book, his mysterious way and the fact that he was called “the devil” made me want to find out more about him. And it finally came his turn, and the final book in the series is about him. My darling, perfect boy, pragmatic and always on top of every situation, my sweet devil Rhys Huntington.
I liked how his character was build, all that mystery that surrounded him made my even more curious, and I think also made me love him even more once I found his history.
He is always in control, of himself and of the situation, is calculated and doesn’t do anything without thinking about it and analyzing it. All this, until my beautiful and smart girl Sera comes into his life like a wreaking ball.
I loved seeing him lose all his control when it came to her. And I absolutely loved seeing him grovel once he realized that he was about to lose the girl of his dreams. He groveled hard, fight for her, and in the end he got the girl.

My girl Serafina is such an amazing character. She is one of my favorite heroines, and I love her with all my heart.
She’s tenacious, smart, determined and gives Rhys every drop of sarcasm and attitude his smug self deserves. She fight fire with fire and she isn’t afraid to play with Rhys’s demons.
She knows her worth, and not even for a second she doubts that. This sassy and beautiful girl, with her amazing vibe and personality came into Rhys’s life and turned it upside down.
I loved her determination and how hard-working she is, she knows what she wants and fights for that. She is strong, powerful, and I really want her to be a living person so I can be her new best friend.

I loved the friendships and the strong bond there is between Rhys and the other guys from the Hellfire club, and also the friendship between Sera and the girls. They have such a beautiful bound, and a loyal and trusting friendship. They would do anything for the other, no questions asked.

Get ready to fall in love with these characters, and most importantly get ready to love and hate, to swoon and swear, because this book will get everything out of you.

Serafina Van Doren was the queen of Pembroke. Driven, Salutatorian and in love with Rhys Huntinton although she doesn't want to admit it to anyone but her diary.

Rhys is running out of time with secrets he never told anyone in the Hellfyre Club. He was dying.

The fifth and last of the Hellfyre boys almost illicit a tear from me when Rhys collapsed in his bathroom, and Sera had to pull through the terror and call the paramedics, call his father, and get the Dr at the hospital to let her in.
What started as Enemies to Lovers and became bittersweet lost its luster at the end, almost rushing through the ending. I did like the return to the Huntington maze at the end which was as romantic as a scene from The Bachelor.

Where I like Academy stories of bad boys, and strong girls I really had expected more of the Constantine/Morelli drama. Where we had Keaton Constantine in Wicked Prince,and I loved how Owen and Tanith's story began in Ibitza there wasn't the jet setting travel I hoped for .

Sera our diamond of the girls at Pembroke reminds me of the main character in the fantastic Ace of Spades . I am glad we have African American representation in this series finally .
I wonder if Cash Constantine, who we meet in Leo Morelli's trilogy the Beast of Bishop's Landing, will have his own story now that he was inducted to the Hellfyre Club, and will the Terror Triplets also have a Hellfyre book ? I will be watching to find out

Hate and love, want and death. Rhys wanted all to see him as the Devil. Serena was rich stoic and hated Rhys. Together they make a wonderful love hate couple.

Saved the best till last

Sweet Devil, the finale of the Hellfire series and it’s definitely a case of saving the best till last. Rhys has probably been the most unlikeable characters of the bunch throughout the series albeit still in a ruthlessly attractive way but my heart hurt for him in this book. The secret he’s been living with and keeping quiet about in an attempt to protect his friends & family will break your heart. I actively started hating Sera on his behalf even though she’s completely in the dark about the reasons behind Rhys’s behaviour. Ultimately though he was pushing her to be the person he always thought she was. She shouldn’t have to hold herself to higher standards simply because of the colour of her skin. She should be free to do what she wanted to do and not what people expected of her because of her family name. To Rhys she was a queen, made to rule. Together they made a fantastic couple with such amazing chemistry even when they hated each other…. or perhaps I should say especially when they hated each other.

I know this is supposedly the end of the series but after the epilogue, where the torch is passed so to speak to the latest members of the Hellfire Club I’m hoping for a return to Pembroke Prep. Surely Becker Gray can’t be so cruel as to leave us hanging like that?!

Didn't See That Coming

I was really looking forward to this one, mostly to see how the authors would redeem Rhys, who's a right git through the entire series. Kudos, ladies! Like the headline says, I didn't see his particular conflict coming. Was it fully believable? Maybe not completely (for reasons I won't mention, to avoid spoilers). Were Rhys and Sera a little annoying with their hate-athon, and more than a little unrealistic in their rich-kid pranks? Definitely. But was it all sexy and surprising and poignant anyway? Absolutely. A pretty cool end to the series (though, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see a scene with Sera returning two precious items she'd stolen from Rhys. I'd have loved to see how the authors handled that, in their unique way).

I took a single star off for the errors. There were a lot, which is weird, considering the rest of the series was pretty clean. The odd thing here and there...but this book? Wow. Lots and lots of errors, including past tense that should have been present, lots of extra words hanging out. Incorrect words (examples: assign instead of asking; aiding instead of abiding; axes instead of axis). Even words/phrases spellcheck would have definitely picked up (like wa instead of was), probably the most disappointing of all, because spellcheck is Self-Editing 101.

Despite this stuff, which occasionally threw me out of a scene while I tried to figure out what the authors meant to say, I still loved seeing Rhys and Sera get their HEA. I'm just sad the whole gang has graduated now!

I loved this entire series of the Hellfire Club! The setting, the couples, and the storylines were all so good! Wicked Idol is still my favorite and had me falling in love with this dark academia world! Great reads that I highly recommend!

I enjoyed the Hellfire club series. As the writers have stated--who doesn't like read about brooding, rich boys in pea coats? These were entertaining especially if you don't have very high expectations for a YA prep school romance. One pet peeve that I did have about this last book was that the cover really did not resemble the H in the book at all. The story was also a bit similar to certain aspects of book #4 but done better here. I hope Becker Gray come back with another series this time an NA, please.

Pembroke Academy is a boarding school bubble of sizzling seduction and bubbling with love and loathing - usually simultaneously. Rhys and Sera have so much passion and fire and all these messy, messy feelings. This was enemies to lovers on steroids and I ADORED IT.
Becker Gray takes the usual tropes and turns them into something unexpected. Something more. I love how fiercely devoted the Hellfire Club is to one another and how their friendships have guided them to their HEAs. I've come to love the "pull your head out of your butt" moment that the Hero is inevitably faced with that Becker Gray does so well. I can always count on them to deliver when it comes to crackling schmexy times, heartfelt epiphanies and Olympic level groveling. It's everything I love and look for in a frothy, fizzy, fun escape from regular life.

Sweet Devil is the fifth book in the Prembrook Prep series and my absolute favorite of the series! We've seen glimpses of Rhys and Serafina in the previous books and how much Rhys loves to push her buttons but Serafina definitely gives him a run for his money. I loved the pranks between these two, the push and pull, then of course the ultimate realization between the two. If you're looking for a book that will have you giddy with excitement from what these two will do to each other, on the edge of your seat with anticipation from the twists and an overall love for these two amazing characters then grab this book......run and ONE-CLICK now!

Becker Gray may have very well saved the best for last! Rhys was NOTHING like I expected and EVERYTHING I could have hoped for!! Sera was pretty amazing too!! So glad I read their story!!
