I did order this book after I read Ruthless Stranger a month ago which was ok-ish, I thought at that time. I felt something was missing, something I could not put my finger on. I ordered this one immediately after, only because I like reading the whole Series. I have been already disappointed with another Maggie’s Series but I said let me give her another chance with this book, and I did not cancel the order. Her writing doesn’t flow. I haven’t known what’s wrong but with this book I realised what’s the problem. I’ve really wanted to like her books, I’ve purchased 7; it’s not like I’ve got 1 or 2. She writes in short and very short sentences. The phrases make only maybe 5% of the book, you get one one phrase here and there. It feels like reading a telegram, not a book. Sorry, Maggie! I’ve tried to finish the book but I could not✌️❤️

It was really hard to get into this book, as their ‘relationship’ takes place over years. So there are a lot of cross overs from previous books. The worst one is the land that they were buying in Maksim’s book and the problems with it are sorted out, then in this one it’s not. It got really confusing.

Sorry but I really really didn’t like Nora. She tells Hailey that she needs to be all in with Liam O Malley and that she needs to decide, to be with him or not and gets very angry with her. Yet when Nora and Boris are having a baby together, she won’t tell her brothers as Boris isn’t Irish! Hypocrite! She has opinions on everyone’s life and how they behave, but she acts like a spoilt madam over what she wants.

So Nora and Boris have known each other for years. And she’s been in love with for him years. They’ve never got together because of the complications of her family. Then one night they have sex then Boris panics and doesn’t speak to her for weeks. So Nora starts dating an Irish man that she doesn’t like or trust. Yes it’s a really mature relationship that they have….

It’s all so messy. I felt like screaming halfway through!!! Loads of spelling mistakes, not well written with missing punctuation. The whole secret relationship that they are in, is a joke! The brothers open a new restaurant and Boris takes Nora and no one questions it??? No one spots Boris’s car outside Nora’s house? Or Boris going into the pub every night to see Killian, who isn’t there! Just wasn’t a good book, sadly!

The main issue with this book is that it duplicated a lot of the timeline and events that occurred in the first book, the last few chapters moved on but it was a shame the whole story didn’t just proceed from where the first book ended. Also became to hate the “Mary, Jesus and Joseph” saying, can only repeat things so much until it just becomes boring.

This was the second book of the series and it was more about Boris, just as good as the first one and very interesting kept me within the book for as long as I could each day, also couldn’t wait until I opened it the next time to carry on reading I just had to really be firm with myself to put it down, very very good, just bought the next one in the series book three all about Sergey, let you know what I think of this one.
The only thing is I think you need to read all the series from one to five of the Ivanov family to really enjoy the story, then perhaps the O’Malley family after that as they also are part of this story line. Whatever I feel you will enjoy them whatever you read. Well done Maggie Cole.

The story of the O'Malley's and Ivonov's is highly entertaining with lots of darkness also action too. The only real complaint I had was the entire story aside from the last hundred pages is all kinda repeating parts of the first story but focusing on how one of the brothers got with his girlfriend. It does include their wedding and it had the fun friends of Aspen possibly finding their own Dark men... She has her baby and well the next story hopefully starts more where this one ends as it will be kinda repetitive if we have to reread about how he met Her.

Wow Boris gives me shivers when the looks at Nora there's no holding he's feelings back for Nora but for her to feel the same way is a match made in heaven or hell.
Following on from book1 family relationships are just as intense, New relationships are just as intense new characters who are going to be loveable rogues are a pleasure to meet.

Can't wait to read the next in line to see what's gonna happen next with The O'Mally Ivanov tribe

Waited for this story for ages and it's well worth the wait. It provides
background and perspective to the family of brothers first-found in Dimitri story in Wrapped in Perfection but this shows the heart behind Boris the man and how love can redeem those that may feel lost. As always after the HEA leaves you will a cliffhanger that has you wanting more. Another fantastic story from Maggie Cole. Bring on the next one in the series.

I found Broken Fighter darker than previous book, but I’m a lover of dark romance. It was a taboo mafia romance, that had me captivated from start to finish.

Loved Boris and Nora’s story. The chemistry between them was smoking hot. Really excited to read more of this series.

Love the Ivanov Family, who become entwined with the O’Malleys, the Irish mafia through the scorching romance between Boris and Nora - love these two characters and how they overcome the pain of the past and the danger of the present, to fight for their future... cannot wait for next book to see what the future holds for Sergey... excellent Maggie Cole!
