Une fois n'est pas coutume, la magie Amelia Wilde a divinement opéré ! Cette suite des aventures de Poséidon et de sa dulcinée est délicieusement sombre et incroyablement intense. Entre des personnages fort bien développés, rebondissements, danger, humour, tension palpable, révélations, émotions vives et érotisme à l'état brut, je me suis littéralement régalée. Je ne m'en lasse pas. Bien au contraire. Et avec cette fin que je n'ai pas du tout vu venir (un jour ces auteurs auront ma peau) et qui m'a mise sens dessus dessous, dire que je trépigne d'impatience de lire le final est un pur euphémisme ! Si vous cherchez une lecture qui sort de l'ordinaire, qui vous happe dès les premières pages et qui vous ébranle tous les sens, laissez-vous tenter par The Devil Trilogy... Croyez-moi vous n'allez pas le regretter !

I wanted this book to redeem the first book.
Unfortunately it felt like the majority of the book was about describing her fever. In short, choppy sentences. Although there were definitely character development at the 90% mark, it is still a very much toxic and abusive relationship. I liked the last 10% of the book and that was its saving grace for me. I will read the third.

A Deal With the Devil kicks off with a bang. This second book in the trilogy is a pure shot of adrenaline. It's action-packed, intense and such an awesome emotional ride.

Amelia Wilde writes amazing antiheroes, and Poseidon is my favourite one yet. We get a glimpse into his past and see another side of him. My heart ached for his tortured soul. I could understand why he felt torn between wanting to continue his lifetime mission of finding those pearls and the raw need to give it all up and protect Ashley at all costs. She makes him feel so much and makes him want things he hasn't thought about in a very long time. He wants what his brothers, Hades and Zeus, have. A proper family.

Poseidon seems bigger than life, an alpha male through and through, a man feared by many. But he can also be vulnerable, and seeing him on his knees was unexpected. In that moment, I wanted to give him the biggest hug. And Ashley surprised me. She proved to be stronger than I first thought. She didn't cower in the face of danger. She is a survivor.

The plot just drew me in. There was a perfect amount of suspense, mystery, passion and scorching hot sexy scenes. And that ending left me begging for more. GAAAHHH I need the next book ASAP. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Do not read until you've read The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea!!

So much!! We left our lovebirds in a not so loving state and surrounded by pirates. Even furious with her, he won't just give her over to anyone.

There is a lot to unpack in this one. His punishment of Ashley has his crew very unhappy with him. He's not so thrilled with himself. We get a lot of insight with flashbacks to the time with Cronos and meeting his new family.

We also see him throw himself into watching over a feverish and delirious Ashley as she fights off infection from her injuries. He doesn't leave her side. So many things!!

~Pirates (besides Poseidon and crew)
~An incident with edibles (that was hilarious)
~Glimpses into the relationships between Poseidon, Hades, Zeus, and Demeter
~Paternal 'love'
~The story behind the treasure hunt
~Money is definitely the root of all evil!
~Love and forgiveness do not always go hand in hand.
~Poseidon's crew is loyal!
~Brothers will be there when you need them.
~Every book makes me hate Demeter even more!

And there is heat, heat, and more heat!! Like Amelia isn't going to make sure we get the steam alongside our suspense!

An explosive climax...I need book 3 now!!

This is the second book in The Devil Trilogy and it was just as captivating as Book 1. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Poseidon and Ashley's story continues to unravel here with non-stop action and emotional drama. We get more insight into Poseidon's rough childhood and some of what has made him the man he is. Ashley is still a bit of a princess, but she's really learning about the people around her and her feelings for Poseidon. I liked her lots in this book and found myself rooting for her happiness. Of course, I liked Poseidon too. He's strong, closed off emotionally, and in control. He also has that small bit of vulnerability that threatens to crack his heart wide open. It's happening no matter how hard he fights it. There's all kinds of battles these two are waging, between themselves and with others in their world. What's to become of these two lost souls whose hearts are adrift and searching for their own happiness amongst all this chaos? I guess I'll just have to wait for Book #3 . Luckily for me, that's only a few more weeks to wait. I'm stoked to read the final chapters of their lives and see what happens! I highly recommend this enjoyable trilogy.

Wow, this one is really good! Suspenseful and romantic, but so much pain. Can hardly wait to finish the series, but it’s so good, I want it to continue on and on.

Pirate Hottie Poseidon is a dark, formidable force but in the second installment taking off from where the first book ended, we start to see him soften just a touch. He battles his past, his feelings, his whole world is turned upside down by the beauty found floating by his ship and the wild, heart-stopping action did not slow down in this one. More secrets revealed, betrayals uncovered, truths laid bare, and the steamy hotness between these two magnified tenfold. Toeing the line between lust and derision, right and wrong, making them both question their entire existence to this point. Another jaw dropping ending that left me wanting to dive into the third right away!!

“You’re my heart.” One of his hands goes to his chest. “This was a dead thing before I met you, and now it beats.” An awed smile flickers across his face and disappears.

I didn’t think I could love Poseidon anymore then I did in book 1 and then we get A Deal with the Devil and my heart is busting at the seams with how much I love him. This go round we get to dive a little deeper into Poseidon’s heartbreaking past and we see why and how he became the man he is today. I love the growth we see in the relationship between Poseidon and Ashley but also the growth with Ashley herself showing she’s not just some rich girl. Ashley definitely proves to us she is a survivor she had to go through some very heartbreaking moments that had me gasping for breath. We also get to see just how much Poseidon really does care for Ashley and what he’s willing to sacrifice. This series is by far one of my favorites from Amelia Wilde and I can’t wait to find out what comes next in their story.

Poseidon and Ashley got my heart beating so fast! It picked up right where it left of in book 1, and it was definitely a ride. Amelia has a way with words that the scenes really played out right in front of you. ⁣

In this one, you get the full story of Poseidon's past. Not only do I feel bad for him, I feel for his brothers too. The pain. You see what he became the man he was. I'll have to say, it looks like after what Ashley went through in book 1, she matured a bit more. There was one thing she said to him that I'm so glad about it because I totally agree with her. And THE TWIST!!! I did not see that coming. So good!! I don't want to spoil it but his decision at the end hurted me. It was cute and sad. Lol Can't wait for the conclusion of their love story. ⁣

Oh Poseidon, I think I love you more than I love your brothers!!

A Deal with the Devil picks up right where Devil in the Deep Blue left off and it is an intense, raw, steamy and emotional rollercoaster ride. I seriously did not want to put this book down! Throughout the story we got glimpses into Poseidon's heartbreaking past and see what shapes him into the man he is today. He is definitely damaged but for Ashley he's will to change and give up the thing that matters the most to him.

One thing I have loved throughout all three trilogies is the interactions between the three brothers. I don't think they hate each other as much as they think they do.
