Sorry but this book is a big no for me, only got about 30% through before i gave up. I officially hate the name serafina it was mentioned so much in this book. We get it, she betrayed the family and broke off the engagement but my god move on. I didnt like either of the main characters either. For some one who was supposed to be a mafia man i personally just found danilo to be a joke pining over someone years after they left. Sleeping with only blondes because his ex was blonde. Sofia was even worse. So many times i wanted to scream at her to just grow a backbone and stop being so pathetic trying to constantly empress someone who you knew didnt want you, to the point of changing her hair colour to be like her sisters?? Even after hearing directly from his own mouth that he only agreed to marry her so sam would marry his sister, she still went out of her way to try an impress him, talk about having no self respect. I liked the ides of the book but the story itself was a major let down.

I think I need to read one of her first books to get over this one. I skimmed 70% of the book, story line was weak. Danilo was not alpha enough and he was an underboss. A lot of repetition and I wish I never bought this book.

Danilo and Sofia.....to be honest this book was very disappointing, even though I eagerly await all Cora Reillys books. Danilo and Sofia are both to much in the shadows of Remo and Serafina. Admittedly Remo and Serafina would overshadow everyone they are so perfectly written. The thing is I didn't care enough about Danilo and Sophia. The whole book seemed to be Sophia acting like an insipid whining beat and Danilo acting with various stages of anger.

The best part for me was the very very short glimpse of Remo and Fina. I never liked Danilo in Twisted Pride and was rooting for Remo and Fina.But reading this book I realised I don't like Sofia either,her insecurities rubbed me the wrong way even though I understood why she had them. I prefer the way Anna was written .I didnt enjoy this book at all which is sad cause I have and love all the rest.

What Trainwreck.
Let me tell you something.
This book is NOT about Sofia and Danillo.
It's about the legend of Serafina.
Sofia and Danillo were together for a very short time in this book.
This book is Twisted Pride from 500 people's POV and The lead couple spend 80% of the time giving their opinion about Remo and Serafina's escape to Las Vegas.Remo and Serafina are so annoying and overrated that I am sick of them.
Cora,please stop writing books about Outfit to show every other character as better people.
Samuel and Emma's story will also be the same.
The legend of Serafina.Emma from 12 to 18 for the 18% of the book and Samuel crying for his twin.
I still can't believe that a book can be written about two characters when the story is nothing about them.

I have been waiting for months to read this book – especially after the publication date was postponed. Sadly, I can’t remember the last time I was so disappointed with a book. First off, Sofia and her continually comparing herself to Serafina throughout this book was extremely annoying. She kept doing things that made me cringe, and I had to stop reading because I was so ashamed – when she dyes her hair blond to match Fina’s, and when she randomly lifts her shirt and flashes Danilo (I had to stop reading and put the book down – because she was still underage). Half this book was based on Twisted Pride's events and how the Outfit – particularly Sofia and Danilo were affected by those events. Again, the fact that Sofia was still underage throughout most of this book and was pinning over a much older man and doing crazy things in an attempt to warrant his attention was disturbing and challenging to read.
Furthermore, randomly towards the end of the book, Danilo becomes an ideal prince and becomes almost unrecognizable. I had a lot of trouble connecting with these characters and this book. Honestly, I wish Cora has just mentioned in a different book that Danilo and Sofia were living happily ever after, and all was good – because this book was incredibly unnecessary. I think the book's highlight was the secondary characters Sofia’s friend Anna Cavallaro, Santino, Emma, and Samuel. Also, Remo and Fina's appearance and the mention of Greta and Nevio have me even more intrigued and excited for future books. I would read this book to catch up with other couples and potential future couples.

Ok so here's the thing...I knew this book was going to be bad before I read it. The premise was already there in Bound by The Past and Twisted Pride. And guess what...it was awful!

This entire freaking book was Sofia being a whiny, cry baby, you want my sister, immature little girl. Seriously, she was a little girl. Who in the hell wants to read a MAFIA book with a whiny female. The first 50% of this book was her trying to be her sister and pining for this guy that wants her sister...blah blah. Let's not forget, we've already read the first 25% of this book in two other books (note the third time, yeah, it's too much).

We get Danilo crying about Remo and his revenge and Serafina...whine, whine. Seriously, how are we supposed to look at this guy as a mature underboss? LOL, oh, that's right, WE CAN'T!!!

Even at 95%, Danilo says "what about what I want?" and Sofia thanks it's her sister. OMG!!

I'm honestly about to walk away from this series. If you are going to do age-gap, great. The females need to be strong. Have a backbone. And please for the love of all that's holy, please spare us all the thoughts of a whiny, immature teenager.

Honestly at this point I should just wipe my clown makeup off and leave cora's books alone. It sincerely would be too much to ask for her female characters to be developed beyond the point of being romance-craving, tradition abiding doormats. fragile longing didn't deviate from that blueprint even a little bit, and most disappointing was what we all saw coming... that the shadows of remo and serafina had more personality (and mention!!) than either of the mcs.
i cannot wait for adamo's book so that i can leave the bibmc world behind me once and for all

Serafina, Serafina, we get it !!!!! Seriously enough is enough about her sister. I absolutely hated how poor Sofia felt like she needed to be everything her sister was because her fiancé didn’t want her for her but was still pining over serafina. She was underage most of the book which was ridiculous. He treated her like trash by still sleeping with other women while engaged. I’m so disappointed in this.
Sofia deserved more she also shouldn’t of been a doormat and a please me pick me person. Wish she had a backbone and her own identity.

I think several of the 1 star reviews already posted summed this up well. Book is boring, unromantic, no real character development, too much tell and not enough show.....one of Cora's worst books.
