Beautiful, emotional and heartbreaking. Players perfection!

Lovely Madness (4th in the Players series) is a beautiful roller-coaster of a novel. I don't think I've felt so many highs and lows in a book. If you've read any of the Dirty/Players series of books then this is a must read. All the beloved characters from both series feature and the climactic payoff of the ending is just incredible.

Jaine has captured the debilitating emotions of loss and guilt and mental health struggles. I sobbed so many times whilst reading. This book just gutted me.

Cary was such an intriguing character from Xander and Courteney's story. I didn't realise his story would be the one to overshadow them all (even Ashley!). He was so broken and eaten up with guilt and grief. And then along came Taylor. The raw emotion and passion between them was alive (!!) and leapt from the page. The love that all the characters feel for Cary is so strong that you cannot help but cheer for him on his journey (even when he makes some pretty major mistakes).

And oh how I felt for Taylor. The long standing best friend to Danica with the friendly and loveable personality. She lays her heart on the line and tries so valiantly to be strong and do the right thing.

I could go on all evening about the strengths of this book. This is my definite favourite of the Players series so far. I'm going to invest in the audiobook now to relive the beauty of Lovely Madness. And hopefully I won't cry on the bus this time.

It took a lot for Cary to redeem himself, previously he hadn’t been a character l liked. His cold fish ways around those that truly loved him and refusal to even talk to his sister when she needed him, nope l didn’t take to him. Here Jaine with her genius, showed Cary for being the deeply sensitive broken man who wasn’t in control of his behaviour. As someone who has struggled with her own mental health from childhood, his thoughts and feelings rang true, l shed tears. Taylor is the one person who can bring him into life, to live again. A beautiful love story, and two people who become a stronger together. I loved this book, l love all the Player stories, thank you Jaine Diamond.

This is the highly anticipated book 4 in the Players Rockstar Romance series, featuring Cary’s story, and it was phenomenal!! You are pulled in and become immersed in the story from the very start. This book is an intriguing, touching, and gripping story, giving you all of the emotions. I laughed and cried, and my heart broke for Cary and everything he had been through, but he copes the only way he knows how, by cutting himself off from the world, and focusing on his work, music is his passion. I loved Taylor. She is a strong, independent woman, who is smart, straight to the point, with a caring heart. The chemistry between these two characters was apparent from their first meeting, they had such an instant connection. Jaine Diamonds explanation of the many different types of anxieties help to understand how Cary must have been feeling, and how different it can be for each individual person. This is an absolute must read, along with the other books in the Players series (and also the Dirty series). You will not be disappointed.

I empathised with Cary from the start and loved the story on how Taylor captured his heart and slowly helped him to find a way forward in being able to live again. Although she annoyed me at times when she kept pushing him almost too far it's understandable why.

It's the sort of story I would read again as it was very emotional and well written. If I had a criticism it would be, that I wished the story was more of a slow burn BUT understand (sort of) why things got steamy so soon between them.

Apart from that highly recommended

Not going to do a spoiler review as i think the others have far too much info in them - if you haven’t read the Dirty/players books do that first, I really enjoyed this one but as always I’m more interested in what’s going on in ash’s life and live on the hope that he gets out of life what he really wants and desires. But I liked this book really not been keen on the last two but it’s nearly to her best but it wasn’t one of those books that I couldn’t put down I wasn’t up to 4am reading it but really looking forward to Matts story fingers crossed it will save Ash’s ending too.

This book was written with some many feelings. So many broken pieces and especially a heartbroken Cary losing his best friend and supporter. Highlighting the way Cary was trying to deal with his life was so heartbreaking and lonely. Then along comes Taylor knowing a little and wanting to help him but with not knowing all the facts took him back to a bad place which he couldn't handle. Taylor blamed herself so her heartbreak began. Could they find themselves together. This highlighted so many things and how fragile people could be but it was also tender in the way they reached for each other

I've been waiting with great anticipation for this book in the acclaimed Players series and it didn't disappoint. After all those months of waiting, I've devoured it the first day of release. I got the feels, I cried, I laughed, then I cried some more. The author deals with some sensitive issues in the book in a very realistic and authentic manner and has obviously done her research on these issues and on the music industry itself. As usual the songs used in the book help set the scene and the author's storytelling is wonderful. Whilst this book can be read as a standalone, I'd advise readers to read the Dirty series and then the Players series in order before tackling Cary & Taylor's story. That way you can appreciate how the author manages to weave details from the other books into this one seamlessly. If you've ever accidentally sent a photo or a sext to the wrong person, there is an amazing scene you will emphasize with and howl with laughter at. Just the right balance of angst and laughs in this book and as always the character's dialogue is spot on. I loved this.

I read this story on kindle unlimited and have bought them all so that I can support the author and leave a reviews..
I only just found the dirty / players book series and novellas within the last two weeks and I’ve read them and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I read dirty like me three times before I was even ready to move on from Jesse & Katie... All the books get you so invested in the characters .
I absolutely LOVED Seth’s story too...
BUT Lovely Madness has just stolen my heart.. I read it in a day..
Thank you Jaine for working so hard , researching so well and putting your heart and soul into your writing and the characters. I think this story broke me a little... I cried several times at different points in the story..
A story of love passion hope and restoration from brokenness.
I didn’t know how I would feel about a character you didn’t hear about at all in any of the Dirty books but it absolutely didn’t matter at all..
Cary is my fave I thought it would be Seth Jude or Jesse.
What a story....
My eyes are like mush now from all the reading of these stories that I simply could not put down...! Maybe I can leave my house now and have a walk or something before I bury myself in this wonderful story again...
5 stars would give 10 if I could!

I read this book as an ARC copy. I’ve always firmly been in the Zane camp, but after reading Lovey Madness I have to say Cary and Taylor have totally won me over!
We’ve seen parts of Cary in previous books and I must admit I was curious as to how this book would pan out. Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed.
I was drawn into the story from the first page, there are so many layers to Cary and at times his story brought a tear to my eye. I loved Taylor, she is a seriously strong leading lady, I loved her sass, her compassion, her general quirkiness.
I don’t want to give anything away, but honestly I loved this book so much, as soon as I finished it I went straight back to the start and began reading it again. Yes it is simply that good!
Jaine has completely outdone herself, the attention to detail is just outstanding. If you enjoy rockstar romance, this is most definitely a book you need to read. I know this one is going down as my favourites of all time.

I have read many of Jaine’s books and enjoyed some more than others. When I read the blurb, I thought it could go either way – very good or very bad. It didn’t, the book is the best she has written so far, in my experience.
Both the main characters, Cary and Taylor, are well constructed and their history clearly outlined. We get to know and understand them and their motivations and reasons for acting the way they do.
I loved Cary and Taylor, how genuine they were, how honestly Cary’s problems were described, the very real struggles, the sympathetic yet raw descriptions of what he was going through.
I was pleased the book had the same tone throughout, when the unavoidable fallout arrived, it wasn’t over anything trivial or a silly misunderstanding. By that time, we knew both characters and it felt real. It was refreshing to see the female character, Taylor, actually struggle with her hurt but also being worried about Cary, waiting, holding on to the hope that he would reach out. There was no great immature drama, just real-life emotions. I loved she decided to confront him and she felt she deserved an explanation. It felt real that all his problems didn’t just go away because they loved each other, he didn’t just change for her from one minute to another – they had to work hard to make this work and their happily ever after was well deserved, well written and very moving.
It is not your typical rock star romance; it is so much more! It still has the elements of the wild life, parties etc; it is not all heavy but the difficulties are so amazingly written! The book flows from beginning to end, it sets the mood and takes you on a journey. The book stays with you after you finished it, you keep thinking about it. I actually bought a copy after reading it on Kindle Unlimited because I know for certain I will be reading it again…and again.
Just “wow”.
