esse foi de longe o meu preferido da série, os meninos juntos no natal por causa da elise foi o destaque do livro. leon é um amor, ele faz de tudo pra todo mundo ficar junto. enfim, esse final??? sem palavras.

There was some good in the book and some slow parts in the book. Overall I liked it. Leon really had me cracking up at some of the things he said and does. He is hilarious. Also loved the cabin scenes. Probably my favorite part of the book. The worst was Gabriel's vision towards the end. I was worried. Still gotta find the answer to my remaining 3 questions.

One thing about the sisters books is they are really good and the magic and world building is generally consistent which is good with a book like these. One other thing though is their books are very long. And the series are very long. There is ALOT of filler chapters that are kinda just for fun and don’t really add to the plot. Which can make there books kinda hard to get through at times for me.

By the time this book ended, I expected Elise to have at least one more mate but unfortunately that didn't happen. What did happen was Leo doing as much as he could to bring all of them together into a pride. All I kept thinking the whole book is no wonder Leo received the mate mark first, he's been the most accepting of Elise and her needs. What I didn't expect was the 5 person intimate scene and especially not with how devastated the other kings were when Elise and Leo mated.

Maybe it's because I'm getting details mixed with another book but I feel a sense of deja vu, that the crazed vampire Elise decided to free was previously revealed to be Elise's dad. I could be wrong on that point though.

Dante and Ryder are one step closer to possible peace between their gangs. Revelations that Dante shared make a path for that to be a real possibility. It's just a matter of time I think for those old hostilities to be laid down. Gabriel too is coming along in this book, his belief shattered in the previous one but he's trying to rebuild what he thought he lost with Elise. With four guys and one girl, there's lots of intimacy, some of it tender, some burning hot.

Leo's brother Roary getting caught stealing from the dragon Acrux led to Acrux negotiating to manipulate Dante is too bad. Dante agreed to the terms which I couldn't understand completely that he was trying to protect Rosalie aside, I thought he could have done better. Especially since part of the agreement he made was involving another woman. However he's going to get around that I guess we'll see. Elise is taken by King so who knows what's going to happen next. But the guys are working together thanks to Leo so they should be able to get her back. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

The one thing I'm impatient to find out if King's identity. My first guess this book was Lionel Acrux but no reveal. Sighs, getting annoyed with that mystery at this point. I still found the parts from Gareth's perspective to be unnecessary for the most part which is another thing that lost some of my interest.

A little on the long side

This is a good series, but this book was a bit on the long side with copious amount of sex thrown in as well. While I appreciate their relationships expanding and such I wish we had a bit more in depth with the school, gangs and plot portion of the story. A good middle chunk of this book is spent in the relationships working through them or working them out.

The series is cute though even though we are dealing with gangs and murders and such.

There was a moment there where I was floored at the end, actually there were several of these moments. One is surrounding Garreth which we have gotten closer to understanding what’s happened, but still don’t know. Overall I am enjoying the series and am excited to see what happens next.

This book I feel also leads us for Rosalie’s spin off series book. Her story here isn’t finished yet I suspect it starts after this series ends but even if not I’ll be reading that series next. I need to know if Roary becomes someone she gets involved with.

So much still happens and I still don’t have a clue who King is, I was thinking it was someone we know but don’t know, but now I’m not so sure yet. I thought it was Dipper, but I’ve since ruled him out.

I loved it all.

Seeing the relationship Elise has with her guys. The relationship she has with her mate, and how he handles her 'differences' and understands what she needs.

My favorite part of this installment was following Leon. How he goads the guys over to his side, his sense of humor and honor. His love for his family. His willingness to accept life as it comes and make lemonade. He is the bestest!!

Second to Leon was seeing the relationships between the guys grow and change.

Ryder's evolution and the strides he has taken to be a better man. His budding friendship with Gabriel, two loners building a relationship.

Loved how Gabriel stepped up to be a better friend. Learned how to actually make a friend!! 😜

Dante and his love for his family.

Knowing what happened between Dante and Ryder, and understanding where they come from in their hatred.

The crossover / background for Darkmore Penitentiary, and understanding how Roary landed in jail... Why Dante has kids with a strange woman... What happened to Rosalie to give her scars... All great moments tying the different series together in a marvelous way. Now we just need to know what happens to Ryder.

The stars choice to make Leon and Elise mates was obviously the right one. None of the other men would have been as accepting and understanding of her feelings, been as willing to share, or fought as hard to get the pride together.

I feel this was the best penultimate episode we could have hoped for 🤣🤣

The cliffhanger was expected, but could have been much worse. The rounding up of different storylines, growth in characters and relationships, all make for a great 4th book.

There wasn't anything much or serious that I disliked about this book. If anything maybe a bit more closure or detail on Gareths storyline. But there was so much there already and there is another book to come so I'm just being greedy 😁

All in all a great book. Thank you lovely ladies for keeping us enthralled ❤️❤️

Straight in!
Leon and Elise are back at his family home while the FIB are combing the woods at the school.

I’ve felt all through these books that there’s something more to Eugene, I don’t know why it’s the casual mention that he’s more powerful than people realise. I’m hoping that I’m right and it’s not a false trail.

Hmmm I have another hunch about one certain vampires lineage …

Okay so the action really picks up in this instalment and a couple of the periphery characters start to shape their own tale.

Ended on a bloooooming cliffhanger so now I have to start reading the next!

This first half of this book is really a bit slow and if I was reviewing midway through this book it would be significantly different to what I am going to write and I would have given it a 3* as I felt I was skimming some bits. I understand books mid way through a series can be a little slower as storyline needs to be covered, however, this is quite a long book and some pages could have been shaved off. The second half of this book was much better and faster, the storyline had a couple of good twists and turns with a strong battle scene near the end. Good cliffhanger. I do enjoy these authors and definitely will read the last in this series.
