I absolutely love love love this book!! As someone who is totally uncreative in the kitchen and needs to follow a recipe, I generally panic if I don't have the exact ingredients. This book allows me to substitute one ingredient for another and I'm sure you could have knocked my husband over with a feather when I told him I was 'improvising'!! This is my first vegan cook book and the recipes are easy and really tasty!!

So happy with this book.Recipes are easy to follow .Easy to follow cooking instructions.Once you have made a few recipes it is easy to use same cooking techniques for different ingredients.So glad I bought this book.Full of recipes for lovely heathly food.Even people who would

eat meat or fish should buy it.Always good to learn new ways of cooking !

One of the most frustrating thing about cookbooks these days is that many of the recipes contain ingredients that are difficult to get hold, of or expensive. This is not the case for the happy pair vegan cooking for everyone. The authors provide a clear breakdown of what goes into all of the dishes with a variety of suggestions for flavours, vegetables and grains. Moreover, the information is presented in a way that is clear, concise and usable for chefs of all experience levels and ages. Highly recommend, this book will earn a spot on your cookbook shelf for life.

Hi absolutely love the hair last recipes the recipes themselves attract difficult however the lay out of the book really let's it down. I understand they wanted to do something different but probably greeted too hard. Please stick to a format that's more user friendly for your next one. Thank you very much.

A useful vegan reference book for making almost anything

I’m an intuitive cook and don’t often follow recipes (even my own!) This is a guide book as much as a cook book, which will get you in track if you’re unused to cooking from scratch day-to-day.

Rather than set recipes with ingredients and methods, there are guides to the make up of a particular dish, say vegan burgers or curry. By following these basic ‘rules’ you can make up any dish with the ingredients you have to hand and you preferences.

Tips abound and there are useful everyday essential like vegan mayo, gravy, hummus, guacamole etc.

This might not suit a newbie - I think it depends how your mind works - but it will definitely be a useful resource for your vegan (or veggie) journey.

Clearly written in an engaging style with non of the usual pomposity of chefs.

I rarely leave Amazon reviews but I was so disappointed by this book and I wish I'd listened to other reviews. The ingredients and method layout so confusing, it just puts you off wanting to make anything. Part of the joy of cookbooks is flicking through them for exciting inspiration but when you flick through this one you just a lot of grids/tables for very unexciting things like salad dressing and pesto (don't get me wrong, pesto IS very exciting but it's very straightforward and I don't think it needs overcomplicating in the way this book has overcomplicated it!)

I'd say perhaps it's better for beginners? But if I were a beginner I think I'd be quite overwhelmed and therefor perturbed by the layout of this book. It reads a bit like those annoying recipes you sometimes stumble across on the internet where you have to read what feels like a dissertation before you actually get to the ingredients and the method.

I'm returning this book because the recipes in it could be wonderful but I just know I'll never get excited to open it up and use it.

Instead of individual recipes, you get principles which you can then combine to make a meal. That means in practice you have to faff back and forward through the book when you're working, which I personally find very irritating. It just makes the book a pain to use, despite the welcome set of recipes. I appreciate the writers are setting out to educate the reader as well as provide a cookery book, but give me straightforward recipes one after the other and I'd be a lot happier.
