Loving these books. Loving the storylines and the characters and their connections with each other. Loved Cade and Iris and ao glad they had the happy ever after they so deserved
Bear was absolutely adorable. Loved the way he tried copying Cade but also grounded Cade too

Well this certainly didn't disappoint. I was so eager to read Cade's story and I loved it. It made me chuckle and snigger and get a lot of funny looks from those around me. Such a good read and I loved the cameo!

Penelope Bloom is back with another battle of banter romances between the King brothers and the women who made a pact to never fall for their witty charms again!

Well, this time around, it's Cade Kings turn up on stage to do his best to woo the ever so enchanting, batton wielding Iris the enforcer back into his arms.

He has his work cut out for him- she'd love nothing more than to lock him up and throw away the key, with his mouth duct-taped, of course. Fate may have to step in and throw him an adorable bone!
What they do with all of the swirling, confusions of feels?....
I am all in with the King Brothers!
Fantabulous characters with unique lovable personas, the banter, and internal dialogue in this book were hilarious!
This was good because I got to say I had a hard time getting past Miranda's arrogant attitude. Was she like that in the first book? I don't remember her being so snooty? Is this a set up for her story? All I know is, I wanted to take Iris's batton and smack Miranda with it. j/s
Regardless, In pure Ms. Bloom fashion, she delivered a deliciously funny, sexy, heart of hearts second chance romance that begs to be read!
I look forward to the next book in this series!

I read the previous book and pretty much hated it. This one was actually quite funny in the way promoted (the RICH book had not been) until I hit page 179 of 229. Then it took a serious nose dive with the ridiculous cartoon character villans. At least it made it 3/4 of the way through before it was ruined. Gotta check to make sure the third one doesn't show up. A bit sad because I thought this one might actually be the book I've been hoping for....some great laugh out loud moments in the first half of the book - if you can put it down on page 175 you even get the happy ending as well as the laughs. Hint to the author. Ditch the parents. They aren't just ruining their son's lives. They are ruining your books. We

Having read ANYONE BUT RICH about Rich, twin brother to Cade, I already knew that Cade and Iris would be a formidable couple, both witty, outrageous and caring. And again, Ms. Bloom has pulled out all the stops. This book was HILARIOUS. She should consider doing standup comedy, so funny! Her narratives are literally LOL funny and that’s not how I usually read…laughing!
Cade and Iris had a thing in high school until he did one of his more ridiculous stunts which changed everything. Fast-forward seven years and the brothers have returned as billionaires and Iris is trying so hard to hold onto her anger with Cade. His antics make that really difficult even more so when he’s faced with a problem he never expected. Who is there to help him out? Iris.
There are times when I couldn’t decide if Cade was more sweet-ish or childish. So many funny moments: Iris pretending to type at the station; Cade’s baby-pool in the living room; “bone apple tea”; the bj on the diving board; when Grammy from HER CHERRY appears; lastly, anytime the brothers banter together, including Nick. I so hope we get Nick’s story soon…
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through NetGalley and it comes highly recommended. I give it 10 Stars!

I should have just moved on. No , I am a glutton for punishment . I read about Iris. The one who was the faux police officer. I can not stress enough she is such a disgrace, unprofessional, not funny, plus her actions drew the readers away from what could have become a good read .
She scoffed. “You’re unbelievable. Here’s what I’ll offer you. One week. I will help you with him for one week, and if I don’t think you can do it on your own when seven days are through, I’m calling Child Protective Services.” What a f'ing female dog. He has siblings. Married siblings and she was to call foster care.

The book would have been great if it was Cade and Bear and any character than Iris. No...all of the women in this series were r waste of my time.
No, I don't recommend.

ANYONE BUT CADE (Anyone But… Book #2) by Penelope Bloom is the second contemporary romance in the King Brothers trilogy. These books are an enjoyable mix of romance, laughter and smokin’ hot sex.

Cade King is the other twin, who is never serious unless it comes to negotiations for work. Seven years ago, he cost his girlfriend her soccer scholarship with a stupid prank that went wrong. Since then he has never been in a serious relationship and hides behind his money and success. He can’t be hurt, if no one really knows him, right?

Iris swore seven years ago with her two best friends to never again date a King brother. But they are back in town and already one of her friends has fallen. Iris values the success she worked hard for to become a law enforcement officer, but something is missing. Cade is still a temptation hard to resist.

Cade receives the news that he is the father of a five-year-old son that he never knew was out there. He asks Iris for her help and even though she knows she shouldn’t, she cannot resist Bear. Can Iris forgive Cade and can the two work together for Bear?

I really enjoyed this book. The dialogue was laugh out loud funny at times and ridiculously funny at others. As much as Cade and Iris were great for each other, Bear made them even better. I loved when Bear would be a mini-Cade and the action between the two throughout shows the difference, I felt realistically between how a man or a woman play with a child. Even when it seemed as though all the secondary characters were against them, Iris and Cade stayed positive and worked things out. The sex scenes were explicit, but not gratuitous. I love when I finish a romance and have a smile on my face.

I love all the brothers and I am looking forward to Nick and Miranda’s story!

Since I liked "Anyone But Rich" so much, I decided to give this a go. I loved Cade and Iris' storyline in the first novel, so I knew I would enjoy this book.

It starts out the same as the first book. "Stay away from Cade. More specifically, stay away from the Kin brothers in any way, shape, or form." Iris tries to avoid Cade, he broke her heart 7 years ago, but life has new plans for them.

Cade is thrown a curveball early in the story and he employs Iris to help him out. If you read the first book, it is almost the same storyline, but just different people. However, I think the author does a good job of allowing the books to be stand-alone, but you get more from reading them together.

These books have been a guilty pleasure for me. I cannot stop reading them and they are also a fun, easy read. I never read "50 Shades" but I imagine this has some of those elements.

I would recommend it if you want a fun, funny, and quick read. The storylines are great, the character development is strong as you get to learn more about Cade and Iris (and you fall even more in love with them), and there is even some suspense.

Best line of the book: "I was just going to say if you look at the kind of dad you’ve been for Bear, it’s not even a competition. You let him use a kiddie pool in the living room, eat cereal out of his pockets, train to win town competitions, and, you know, you do it all while not consuming copious amounts of drugs.”

Do I need to say anything more to encourage you to read?? Nope......

Penelope Bloom manages to hit it out the park with every book. This one was particularly hilarious and I found myself wiping my eyes after giggling maniacally, more than once.

Iris, Cade and Bear are adorable, hilarious and sweet together. This was one of the cutest second chance romances I’ve read, and some of Cade’s one-liners should be immortalized. I found myself thinking more than once that this would make a perfect movie. If you want a sweet, angst free, LOL read, this is for you - and maybe start with Rich and Kira’s book first to get the full Cade effect.
