It didn't dawn on me when Riley was introduced in Jade and Eli's story, until I began reading Skye and Aiden's story.

Thank you for writing this one. People don't actually realize that pedophiles can live with you and hide in plain sight while they are abusing their young sons, daughters, nieces, nephews and sometimes even their friends.

Love the Montgomery family just as much as I am loving the Sinclaire's of Maine and California!

I knew that Seth had a thing for Riley when he was telling Aiden about her and the least terns.

Thank you for your Billionaire series, I find it hard to even think about getting another book started until I finish any of the Billionaire books. They are that good, that I have to savior each one in their own time in my reading. I feel like a part of the family.

This story is about Seth Sinclair, one of the oldest of the "Accidental Billionaires. Seth along with his older brother Noah and Aiden the brother under him. The three oldest raised the three youngest. They put Jade and her twin Brooke and the youngest brother Owen through 🏫 school. Seth was part of a construction crew until he found out he was a Millionaire. Then Seth became a business man. He was into buying real estate and with the help of Jade's husband Eli Stone and his brother Aiden he had become a great business man. His brother we learned in the previous book Entangled he didn't like sitting in an office so he became a silent partner. His brother-in-law became an investor and even though he didn't go to college Eli became his mentor. He met Margaret Riley Montgomery as she was an environmental lawyer and was taking him to court to keep him from building on some land he had bought and was going to put commercial real estate on it but it was the nesting site for the least terns. So you know Jade found out and she was a scientist and was always trying to save endangered species. Then their was Riley Montgomery, the Red headed lawyer who he loved to get to know. He loved her feisty nature. She was always challenging him. Riley came from a wealthy old money. Her father was CEO of Montgomery Mining and he was deceased about 10 years ago. She sold her shares of the company to her three brothers. Hudson is the oldest and the other two Jaxton and Cooper. Riley is a graduate of Harvard. Her brothers were smart too. They all went away to a private school and all graduated college at 20 years old. This is the story of how a broken and abused Riley, both physically and emotionally learned to love herself and Seth and the journey it took for them to form a real loving relationship. You should definitely get this book. J.S. Scott really knows how to write a romance book. If you have never read any of her books about the Sinclairs you should get them they are all so different but of course she weaves the lives of all of the Sinclairs together so you do get to know how the other brothers and sisters are doing. Now on to read about Noah.

Can a relationship beginning as a fake one has a chance when one party is running away from any engagement...

When I came back to read romance again after a big hole of over ten years, Mrs J.J. Scott was one of the few of the contemporary authors to catch my eyes, I loved her Sinclairs and Walker series.
Since I have distanced a bit about billionaires romance as I do prefer their historical counterpart but when I saw this new release, I was tempted.

What I like about Mrs Scott’s heroes is they are all respectful men, they are the ones to save the day but they are not also flawless as they are a bit on the alpha side, “you Jane, me Tarzan”!

Seth knows from the beginning what he wants and since he has met Riley, it is her, so he uses his property as leverage to get closer to her.
He never had a real relationship as his today’s life until recently was only centered about putting food on the table and help his younger siblings to go to college.
So when he meets the woman who does see him as a bank account or a piece of meat for a bit of fun, he is lost to her.
But Riley is still recovering from the abuses of her past, she is in counseling to help her face and accept what wounded her deeply. So when Seth lands in her life, she is far from ready for an affair as she still deals with the aftermaths of her previous relationship.
And Seth would not be a Sinclair if he did not go after the woman he knows in his guts is for him.

In spite of the difficult topic about child abuse, it is no dark read, as the author underlines the wounds it leaves in the life of the victims. But with comprehensive and loving people, if given the chance to have some around, it is easier to heal, and speech is an important part in the healing process.

A sweet fast paced read with a caring alpha and his other half in need of his support.
4.5 stars

Like the rest of his siblings, Seth Sinclair is trying to adjust to his new life as a billionaire. Even though he does not ever need to work again, that's not how Seth and his siblings were raised and it is just part of their nature to work. Now instead of working at construction sites, Seth can develop land and build things. He has his eyes set on building on a piece of beachfront property that he has been getting resistance on from an environmental lawyer named Riley Montgomery. He put off development his property waiting for this endangered species to migrate off his land. However, he seems to enjoy sparring with Riley via email over their disagreements. The ante is upped when his younger sister gets involved and asks him not to develop his land and give it to the endangered species. Seth, like all his other older siblings, would do anything for their younger sisters so Seth decides to convince Riley to help him out by going with him to high society events and introducing him to the right investors for his development company in exchange for him donating the land to the endangered species.

The 2 are obviously attracted to each other but Riley is determined to not get involved in a relationship after she had broken up with her fiance. As Seth and Riley get to know each other, they open up to each other about their painful pasts and Seth vows to protect Riley from ever being hurt again. These 2 people are great together and they keep each other on their toes and their chemistry is off the chart. Seth, like the rest of the Sinclairs, knows when he has met the right woman for him and is determine to keep Riley in his life forever. When Riley finally tells Seth her most painful childhood experience, Seth promises to protect her at all costs.

Seth and Riley help each other deal with their painful pasts and shows each other how much they are still capable of love when it is with the right person!

I enjoyed the characters and story line and thought the sensitive issues raised were well handled.

The only jarring note for me was the constant repetition of the phrase, "At all. Ever". If 75% of the instances of the phrase being used were taken away it would be about right. It just spoilt it a bit for me which made it 4 stars not 5.

Seth Sinclair wants to develop a prime location In Citrus Beach ,but the land is the home of an endangered bird species, hence the involvement of Riley Montgomery a lawyer who will move heaven & earth to stop him . The two are at loggerheads with one another ,that’s until Seth offers her a compromise , one thing is certain though it’s clear that they are attracted to one another . To keep things business like ,they come up with a contract of sorts but as the two get closer the contract is soon null and void . Although the two had two totally different upbringings both have ghosts in their past which have to be put to rest. With Seth’s he was brought up by his mother after his bigamist father abandoned them ,but with Riley although her family is wealthy ,as a child she was physically abused in the most vile disgusting horrible way by the very person who should have protected her ,she will later find out that the her uncaring mother was well aware of the fact . Riley moved to Citrus Beach after she broke off her engagement when she caught her fiancé in bed with a 15 year old. With all that baggage can they work through their issues and get their HEA ? .....😍😍 ..... The only negative point is that we have to wait quite a few months for the next in the series which is Noah’s story it’s already on pre -order .... roll on 28th April 2020 !!!!! .

Reading J.S. Scott is like coming home after spending years away from your loved ones. You may not see your family and friends as often as you'd want to, but the moment you see them, you feel that warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart, and you know you are loved.

J.S. Scott gives us the story of Seth Sinclair, a real estate developer, and Riley Montgomery, a lawyer fighting for least terns, endangered migratory birds. Seth tells Riley that he will consider giving up on his plans to develop a beachfront property that he owns in exchange for Riley pretending to be his girlfriend for two months. Unsure for herself, but willing to fight for her beloved least terns, she agrees, never expecting that she and Seth will develop feelings for each other.

This is not your typical fake girlfriend trope. It is about dealing with childhood trauma, of trusting and forgiveness. It is about learning to fight, and it is also about one is worthy of being loved, and loving others, no matter what.

It is J.S. Scott reminding us, her readers, that it is okay to reach out if we need to, and for us to grasp the hands reaching out for help.

As always, a definite five star read for me!
