This book would have been so much better if it was set in a country which the author knew something about! The book felt a little off and I couldn't work out why to start with. I think it was the language the author used, the vocabulary didn't seem very British. Also lots of words were American such elevator and peoples names.
Again the language and the behaviour of the so called aristocracy didn't seem right. To top it off Charlotte booked into the very British hotel, The Four Seasons! Really? Of all the traditional hotels in London!
This would have been an ok chick read had it not been for all the annoyances.

Is there anything better than reading about a player, one who is sprinting towards the end of his 30s, no commitments, hot as hell and then he meets "the one" and it completely knocks him on his ass? I don't think there is - and this exactly what happens to Mr Spencer

Spencer Jones is well known, tabloid fodder. Often seen with a hot celebrity on his arm (sometimes two in one day) and his sexploits leave very little to the imagination - its safe to say his reputation is more than deserved. His friends may be settling down but it's not on his agenda at all...until he lays eyes on Charlotte Prescott. Private, rich and the complete polar opposite to Spencer. With bodyguards and a protective father and brother following her every move all she wants is to do something for herself

Gah!! TL Swan has done it again. Again I was left feeling all the things I've come to expect from a TL Swan novel but somehow not expecting them at all when it came to end. Another hot, sexy, addictive read. I loved Spencer, his vulnerability, his flaws and his honesty made me more than weak at the knees and his banter with Seb and Julian had me in stitches. Watching Charlotte morph from a shy, innocent, bordering on reclusive young lady into a confident woman was a joy. These two embarked on a journey of discovery and transformation and while neither of them knew what had hit them there was no doubt in my mind that these two were perfect for each other

I have read all the books now by TL Swan and every single time i read a new book by this author it takes my breath away. It goes without saying that TL Swan have rocked my world again. You simply cannot not fall in love with these characters. I loved Mr Spencer, he is so alpha man, but at the same time he is everything, dominating, caring and knows how to fall in love and love his other half. The chemistry between the two main characters was incredible from the beginning and never stopped.
Overall the book had everything its ups, it’s downs and the twists you don’t expect till the end.
I finished reading the book within a day and so didn’t want to end it.
It's one of my favourite books so far. Would recommend to read if you haven’t done so yet

This book !!! This man Mr Spencer has just stolen my heart for good. What a fantastic book this is, I loved every minute of it and could have read it forever. TL Swan certainly knows how to write her leading men that's for sure, I mean she gave us the Stanton's - oh lordy who could forget them in a hurry especially Dr Stanton ( swoon ) this book is to die for it is so good.

Charlotte and Mr Spencer first lock eyes at a charity do, he's the older man and she the younger girl which works really well. Both are well to do and have money but Charlotte is very rich, her family has a name to uphold and being the only daughter and the youngest with two older brothers you can imagine she is smothered in love and protection, maybe a little too much. She is not a all world wisely and in some ways quite naive but I so liked Charlotte very much. Mr Spencer's reputation is well known in the society circles; a different girl on his arm each night, he doesn't do relationships he just excels in sex which he is extremely good at as you will read ( so hot ) !!!

The chemistry and the banter in this book is everything and it doesn't lack angst either, many a time I was swearing at my kindle at one or the other of them; really this book has it all. I found myself giggling many a time when Mr Spencer meets up with his friends for their customary breakfasts dates and this is where we get to meet some of our old favourites like Seb and Judge Masters and even Cameron Stanton in one chapter.
Their relationship problems are so good to read and at times they are so frustrating but also my heart hurt for them both as well , especially Mr Spencer as all is not what it seems with this man. He puts on this front and no one but the people who are the closest to him know him deep down and what's going on in that head of his, maybe Charlotte is the one who can help him; you will have to read this fantastic book to find out.

Brilliant story, mesmerising characters that have you hanging on their every word with so many emotions flying around your poor heart will be in turmoil and lets not forget the sex - OMG so so so good !!! Go one click this book NOW it is so worth it !!!!

Love this author but this one didn’t do it for me

I struggled with this book and only persevered as I have enjoyed other books she has written. The main characters were ok but didn’t draw me in like the main characters in her other books. I like a good romance and a HEA but this one felt a bit like the after was not quite so happy. The storyline felt like bits were missing, especially as a huge part of the book focused on Charlotte needing to be kept safe, with many bodyguards, however there was never any threat presented in the book. The end of the book left me disappointed with a bad taste in my mouth. Part of me wondered in the epilogue if they should have stayed together as again the ever after didn’t seem so happy. I went from loving Spencer to finding him childish - seriously he held a grudge for 2 yrs in the first epilogue. Unfortunately more a fail than a win for me. Don’t however let this stop you reading other books by this author, I loved the Miles collection in particular The Take Over.

This is only my second read by TL swan and im already obsessed! Im honestly in awe of how amazing her writing is. When i read her books i cant help but feel like a giddy schoolgirl because of how she writes her characters LOL! I just love spencer hes hot, so cheeky, hilarious, sweet and just so lovable and i just adore him and Charlotte together, i love how protective he is of her and how much he loves her and wants her to finally have a life that she is in control of! i love the side he brings out in her she was young, innocent and babied but spencer brought out her true side.. shes strong, sexy and fierce who can stand up for herself finally. I love the humour that TL swan adds to these books it makes it even mofe amazing. I cant wait to read Seb's story in Mr. Garcia, i love these 3 men and their friendship its so fun, hilarious and cute
I wish i could give this book more than 5 stars, and the steam well..., its HOT AF!!!

an insta-love & age-gap trope! spencer jones is sooo cheeky yet charming, obviously i’m in love with him! will tl swan ever write about a man i don’t completely fall head over heels for, probably not! his little one liners are my favourite! his cockiness and arrogance actually make him more attractive🥵🔥 there is something so attractive about a player that changes their behaviour for the right girl, all by himself without her even having to ask🥲 also love it when the man falls first and doesn’t even realise it yet😮‍💨 charlotte is a really sweet girl, with a bit of sass! she does give him a good run for his money😂 charlotte’s character development was great, going from a quiet girl to a strong(er) woman that can hold her own - love that🤩 spencer really does have the best stories, absolutely hilarious the situations he gets himself into sometimes😂 a players past always come back to bite them and my god did this bite spencer🥲❌ i was really torn tbh, i wouldn’t know what to do in that situation either! THE EPILOGUE😭 it was just so perfect i love spencer & charlotte🥺 i’m fully addicted to all tl swan books and absolutely loving it, i literally can’t put them down! one of my new favourite authors ever💗

T L Swan has done it again, with this amazing book. Ever since we got a glimpse of spencer and Charlotte in the end of Mr masters book, I have been eagerly waiting for this book to come out, and was so excited when I was able to finally get my hands on it. As always Tee's story are detailed which I love as it, I can envisioned in my head exactly what is happening and what rooms and locations actually look like. Yes Spencer is a playboy, and after seeing charlotte he quickly decides that he wants a date with her. However charlotte doesn't feel the same way and comes as quite a challenge for spencer, which he is up for. I loved the chemistry between both charlotte and spencer, and how spencer experiences things he has never experienced before with charlotte, and that he is willing to give up his playboy lifestyle for her. Their are many ups and downs in the book and challenges that this couple face, and after their heated discussions they always seem to survive and come out stronger the other side. This book gave me so many feels from laughter, tears, feeling hot, blushing, sadness, happiness and heartache. It has defiantly left me with a seriously book hangover, and has me running back for another re read of this book, and all of Tees other books. I am so excited to see what the next book is she brings to us, and am so in awe of her talent, and these amazing stories that she brings to us. Never give up writing Tee, as you are amazing and your stories are amazing. Big love to you.

Drama filled read!

So, I did actually enjoy this book but I could not rate this with 5 stars because there was just a touch too much drama for me!
I love that this is an older man/younger woman story and I love how Spencer allows Charlotte to truly grow into her self.
Because I am not a fan of spoilers I will keep them to myself but what I can tell you is that this is a fantastic book with a lot of sexual tension that keeps you on your toes and the drama is like next level. I did enjoy it all but as I've said there was just a little too much drama for me by the end but I am happy for the ending just the way it was.
This won't be the last I read of Miss Swan's work.
