Lots of necessary information to know

Very informative on the GDP and data bias, there were also many things to be learnt about the tech business.
A minor note I must add as a medic is concussions seem to be seen as something women suffer more of, which isn't based on sex, but on gender(they are more likely to be sufferers of domestic violence) whereas women who did sports as children and received concussions have minor effects when receiving concussions as adults, as compared to women who have a concussion for the first time. The first concussion is the one with the most symptoms(an observation made in women, but not men, perhaps because men already received injuries and concussions as children and adolescents through sports the women studied were unlikely to have played in their youth, or perhaps a biological sex difference in response to trauma lessened in further head injuries because the body has already experienced it, this is all open to study).

As always with health and fitness, best to be active in youth to reduce injuries and illnesses in adulthood, however most women do not have access to quality taught sports and end up with injuries they continue to work through from their unpaid overwork, which as we know, being active is good but not resting and overdoing it means you have heightened chances of injury, heightened risk of delayed recovery when physically working while injured, risks of further injury and also of health problems in the long run.
However on the topic of head injuries, it is still men who suffer worse brain injuries than women even when gender based occupations and behaviours are taken into account.
Of course, that does not mean we should ignore it's effects in women but the misinformation of women suffering longer comes from a study of athletes that did not take into account female athletes receive less funding, thus less funding for medical care and that the athletes in question continued to play while injured(which makes an injury worse) and were not diagnosed immediately, thus a gender gap being mistaken as a sex gap. Another study who took this into account and diagnosed male and female athletes immediately following an impact to the head found that there was no sex or gender difference in recovery speed when diagnosed early.
However, there is a gender difference when athletes do not have access to care and continue to play injured.
Domestic violence survivors are unlikely to receive or seek help immediately following an injury to the head and explains the gender gap there. More must be done to help women and men suffering from concussions, and more must be done to involve women in all areas of decision making for the betterment of women and all of humanity as a whole.
This was a very easy to read book and I recommend it to anyone looking to learn on a data gap, and to everyone who doesn't think about it but to whom it will open their eyes.
The book arrived in perfect condition and I am pleased with my purchase.

Caroline Criado Perez puts concrete numbers on things that before I had only hunches, suspicions and imaginings about. Not did I find out I am I not crazy, but this book opened a whole world for me on how to communicate about gender and society. As she says, women are not a niche, we are 50% of the population, and need to stop treating ourselves as if we were an afterthought in creation. Thank you Caroline, you've hit the nail on the head an in a factual and humouristic way given us avenues to restructure the world as it should be.

A must read for EVERYONE. A very comprehensive, very well sourced book describing the intricacies of living and being perceived as a woman in a society (mostly) designed for men. It provides insight into things I imagine even most women are unaware of, which is even more important. Even the cover is cleverly designed!
A true asset to anyone wanting to understand why feminism is more vital than ever.

Ce livre est tellement important pour notre société occidentale. Il est bien écrit, clair, les exemples sont parlants et actuels. Ce livre pour moi est un must-have des lectures féministes contemporaines et je souhaite qu'il permette une prise de conscience radicale chez tout celle-eu-x-s qui le liront.

Excellent analysis of the way the western world has been fashioned for a single elite group and has ignored so much evidence that society in all its complexity could be so much more egalitarian. This should be compulsory reading for politicians, public servants, researchers, doctors and social workers, economists, business leaders, designers, workers, architects, police and military services, everyone! Its arguments are devastatingly well written, researched, analyses and presented.

As I was reading this book I realized: why is this paperback version so huge and not smaller to fit my hands? The irony! Incredible book that I highly recommend to both women and men (noticed the order in which I listed those?)
