C'est léger, enlevé, amusant, chaud...

Les deux héros sont supers sympas. Au début, ils ne s'aiment pas trop (et c'est peu de le dire), mais au fur et à mesure, ils apprennent à se connaître et TADAAAA !
Le héro est un mâle alpha que l'héroïne va déstabiliser, et l'héroïne n'est pas une petite chose fragile qui se laisse faire, loin de là.
Bref, j'ai adoré, et je vais de ce pas lire la suite.
Je vous le recommande chaudement.

I’ve had this book on my kindle for absolutely ages, and when I was looking for my next read last night, I decided to give it a try as I know that it’s part of the Billionaires of Manhattan series, and I bloody love a good series. And after staying up past midnight reading this, I can definitely say that this book was a great way to kick it off.

Vicky and her younger sister Carly moved to New York to escape their hometown and Vicky’s past. An aspiring jewellery designer, Vicky is mistaken for a dog whisperer when she does a favour for a friend at a fundraiser for an animal shelter. This is where she meets Bernadette, an insufferable woman with an adorable Maltese. After certain events unfold, Vicky finds out that Smuckers has been left a large portion of a billion dollar company, and she is now the new carer of said dog.

Enter Henry *sighs*... absolutely gorgeous and unbelievably angry that the majority of the company he’s CEO of has been left to a dog. What occurs from here is a battle of wits between Vicky and Henry as they try to one up
each other. The constant bickering between these characters created so much sexual tension I thought my kindle was going to burst into flames. And when they do finally give in to each other, woah momma, the steam is next level.

As well as brilliant characters and a fair amount of steam, the story also focuses on the serious issue of sexual assault and the damaging effects it has on the victim. Vicky has been through a hell of a lot and, because of this, she was a strong character who took no prisoners, and it was what I liked most about her.

Most Eligible Billionaire was a highly enjoyable story and well worth staying up past midnight to read. I’m now off to go and scroll on Amazon to scope out the rest of the books in the series.

I recently read The Billionaire's Wake Up Call Girl, book 2 in Annika Martin's Billionaires of Manhatten series, and I enjoyed it so much that I couldn't wait to go back and read the rest of the series.

Book 1 in that series in Most Eligible Billionaire, and I was thrilled to discover that I loved this was as much as Wake-Up Call Girl. If all the other books in the series follow the same vein, that I am going to be a very happy reader indeed.

Most Eligible Bachelor begins when Bernadette, an eccentric, rich old lady dies and leaves her shares in the family company to her precious dog, Smuckers, and his reluctant "dog whisperer", Vicky. The change of leadership does not go down well with the company, particularly Bernadette's son and acting CEO, Henry Locke. Most Eligible Bachelor is begins as a fabulous enemies-to-lovers story, with instant animosity and friction between Vicky and Henry, but what I really appreciated the fact was that both our hero and heroines were quick to realise they may have misjudged the other.

We also get instant, sizzling chemistry between the two main characters, which led to some very steamy moments between the two of them. I absolutely adored the way the relationship between the couple developed. Vicky has quite a considerable skeleton in her closet, and this secret definitely has the ability to cause some serious conflict between her and Henry. I waited a LONG TIME for the penny to drop, and the inevitable conflict to occur, and I was particularly impressed when Annika Martin surprised me by not taking the predictable route. She knows how to keep me on my toes.

Most Eligible Bachelor is a complete joy of a read. It played with every single one of my emotions. These are exactly the kinds of books that someone needs to buy movie rights for ASAP - the characters leap of the page and come to life and I cannot get enough. I have such incredibly high expectations for the rest of the series.

I should also mention that as well as reading this on my Kindle, I also downloaded the audiobook. For someone who is not usually a fan of audiobooks, I was blown away by the quality of this one. Both of the narrators were fabulous and perfectly embodied their characters, so if you do prefer to listen to the audio, I cannot recommend this one enough.

I love love love this series, i read them out of sync, purely because i bought the set on an ad that had me juiced for the one, but thought get the set cant go wrong, anyway it doesn't matter if its out of sequence they could all stand alone, i am upset i will never have that feeling of reading one for the first time, i only have one left, what the hell am i going to do then, this one was just beautifully written, everything about it was WOW totally worth buying, the cuteness of Smuckers to Beligerent Bernadette to timid Vicky to the hotness that was Henry, i mean come on, it was just great, buy it you won't be sorry.

This book is so sweet and entertaining! When Vicky, the dog whisperer, inherits her neighbours dog she is in for a surprise. Not only did she inherit a dog, she inherits a dog who was left a corporation worth billions, leaving Vicky as his spokesperson.
When the neighbours son finds out about this, he is not happy 😂😂 answering to a dog and a "dog whisperer". Let the games begin.

A fun and witty mash up of a billionaire romance and an inter office love in. Vicky has a deep loathing of entitled men who believe they can do as they please. This stems from a trauma involving just such a man when she was in her teens. Now 7 yrs later she is plodding along caring for her sister and making stuff for her etsy store when she helps a friend by presenting to be a dog whispered. Enter Smuckers and his surly owner who wholeheartedly believes Vicky and makes it her mission to get more readings. It's through Smuckers that she meets Henry. He is initially exactly as she thought he would be. A rich entitled ass. But as they spend time together they can't resist the pull.

Then the truth comes out. All of it. And things implode, but are they beyond repair.

A feel good story about a millionaire guy who's mom gives all her assets to her dog with her dog whisperer being executor. The man takes all his frustration out on the women, who out of her good heart tries making the old women happy by lying about being dog whisperer. The girl is honest and nice and the guy falls for her but still breaks her heart and then they are all happy.

This story is nice, and for once I couldn't fault the man for being a jerk.

It is hard to believe that from their initial impression of one another, there would ever be any romantic sizzle between those two, but there is. Vicky is a very sympathetic and very strong female character, a true fighter. Yet, she managed to maintain her kindness, compassion and forgiveness. Henry might be very rich, but he is lucky to get her and he knows it. By playing it too safe, wanting to have his cake and eat it, he loses her and he learns the hardest lesson in his life. He goes from an entitled pain in the backside to a shaken, humbled individual who grows as a man and won't rest until he proves himself to the love of his life. Of course, he has to find her first.

Vicky has been living the last seven years looking after her sister and hiding from a past she is desperate to forget. Through an episode of mistaken identity she is manipulated into a ‘relationship’ with Bernadette and her dog Smuckers. In her will Bernadette leaves her company shares to Smuckers with Vicky as his dog whisperer translator. This does not go down well with the family!
This story is stormy, steamy, witty, well written and the characters are wonderful.
