I really enjoyed Blair and Garrett's story. I loved getting to know the characters and the dynamics of their relationship. We all know that one moment, one look, one night can change everything and that is what happened to these two to set in motion the basis for the next six years of their lives.

Blair came out to his family and friends that he was Bi. It got swept under the rug and he got swept back into the closet. Garrett after some very hard times of running to and running from Blair comes to terms with being gay but cannot bring himself to tell those most close to him. What follows is a push and pull between both guys until they finally realize what they knew all along. One night, one year, six years would never be enough.

There was so much I enjoyed about this book but some things that I had a hard time with. I took quite a while to figure out which chapter was being told from whose POV. I had to go back to the start of chapters so many times. Add in the time jumping around and I really had to work to figure out what was happening. There was also a lot of other characters to try to keep track of but I assume had I read the previous books I would have figured those out and the relationships easier.

Overall a very enjoyable read!!!

I haven't read the first three books in the series and I'm not inclined to either to be honest. This book was Okay I actually liked the way it was set out and how we started in the present and then jumped back to the past and then the story of Garrett and Blair's relationship was told from the very beginning. It flowed surprisingly well considering they were on off for nearly five years but the format honestly worked really well. I liked both main characters but wasn't necessarily keen on the supporting cast. I felt the ending was rushed and that's what kept the rating down for me. We came back to the present day and then everything sort of happened really quickly. I felt the past and present didn't meld well together for some reasons and especially Garrett's growth as a character was lost and seemed a tad slap dash. Overall an okay book with an ending was satisfying enough in the long run.

Dual first person perspectives are annoying

Would have rated higher as the story was fun and the characters likeable, but multi-perspective writing is the worst. The constant switching between first-person pov's made the story unnecessarily confusing and hard to follow. I kept losing the thread of who was speaking. The story and characters would have been just fine without it.

Nice plot, characters and story development, but I rated low because of the back and forth main chacter narratives. Its too tough to keep the perspective of who is telling the story when it switches every chapter. The excerpt of another book by this author shows the same style in that one as well.

Written well and I enjoyed the characters, my only
Issue which is my own and may not bother others is the POV switching, I’m not a fan but overall nice read and shouldn’t be passed up.
