As I started out in this series with Simon and Sam in Florida, heading off to Seattle, to California, to Colorado and now Maine. I've enjoyed each and every story of romance, heartache, kidnapping, sex trafficking, murder, rape, incest that our heroine's have endured.

J.S. continues to keep me locked into her book series.

I knew from the time Jared came to see about his brother, Dante, that there was a reason why he was still hanging around. Loved the tie in of Hope and Jason. Can't wait for the oldest and the orneriest brother to fall next.

What damsel in distress will turn his head. It doesn't sound like it will be Randi or Kristin. But in true form, it will be a troubled damsel no doubt.

Love the happy endings. Hope before the end of the series, that J.S. will give a chapter of all the billionaires and their wives come together for one of their invested charities that was started. You have the one for homeless children, abused and women, that they all (Hudson's, Montgomery's, Colters, etc.) support. I'm missing a few but you know the characters I'm referring to. It could be around the next new billionaire family who's woes come to pen and paper.

Keep writing J.S., and I'll keep reading and dreaming.

This entire book centers around the little town of Amesport, Maine, which is the principle home of several members of the wealthy Sinclair family. Jared Sinclair is a billionaire with a big heart, and a heavy sense of guilt that is weighing on his conscience. He feels responsible for the deaths of two people who meant the world to him, and he has never forgiven himself.

Mara Ross owns a doll shop in Amesport, a business which was left to her by her grandmother. Her family has lived in Amesport for generations, and she can't imagine living anywhere else. Sadly, Mara has just found out that the old building which houses both her shop and her residence has just been sold. Consequently, she will have to move out.. Jared secretly admires Mara and longs to know her better, but he elects to just watch her from the sidelines, never letting her know how he feels. These two lonely souls finally get together, and it isn't long before they both develop deep feelings for each other. Jared wants nothing more than to take care of Mara. But he's finding it very difficult to trust in love again after having once being betrayed. Mara fights her feeling for Jared, telling herself it's only physical. She's not sure just how much he really cares for her, and she doesn't want to run the risk of a broken heart if he decides to end their affair.

Unfortunately, old and faulty wiring cause a fire in her building and Mara just barely manages to escape with her life. Now she needs a place to live, and Jared conveniently has a guest house. Hmmmm. She decides to give up the doll making business after the fire, but what she really wants to do is to own her own catering business, and so Jared offers her a business proposition.

Enter Jared's older, protective brother Evan who does not want to see Jared betrayed and hurt again, like he was by his last girlfriend. So obviously, he is suspicious of Mara, thinking she is only interested in the "Sinclair money." Wrap all this up in a family wedding, in which ALL of the characters are participating, and it makes for a very interesting story. This is a definite "recommended read."

I love Ms. Scott's writing style and I only have to see her name on the book to buy it. I have read all her prior stories that center around the wealthy Sinclair siblings, who have (all but one) managed to find their one true love, and I am anxiously awaiting the final book which will give us Evan's story. He is the oldest Sinclair brother who, while emotionally distant from most everyone, has always been fiercely protective of all his siblings. So far he has never felt the need for a permanent woman in his life, and I can't wait to see how Ms. Scott manages to find one who will "rock his world." He is way overdue for that experience.

The presence of a large, new business had brought incredible economic growth to Amesport, employing many people who needed jobs. For Mara, that was one of her greatest accomplishments. As she eyed her husband hungrily, she knew Jared was her greatest asset and always would be, no matter how large her business grew in the future. She could live without the business; she couldn’t live without him. Just like he’d promised, he did seem to love her more and more every single day. So much so that they’d both had a hard time parting in the morning since he’d started work on rebuilding the house, doing some of the manual labor himself. Jared had needed to make a few short business trips for his commercial real estate business since they’d gotten married, and separation for even a few days had been excruciatingly painful for both of them. Maybe it was the newness of their love, or maybe it was just because they were addicted to each other and couldn’t bear to be apart. Now that she had so much competent staff, if he needed to go away, she tried to arrange to travel with him. I love you even more today. I miss you. That text appeared on her cell phone every day without fail while she was working at Mara’s Kitchen, and her heart never ceased to skitter every time she saw it, and she quickly texted back. I love you. I miss you, too. Today, his text had been different, throwing her off balance. I love you even more today. I need you. He’d never texted that he needed her, and the slight difference had put her senses on high alert. She handed everything over to her manager and left Mara’s Kitchen early, suddenly needing to see Jared, to assure herself that everything was okay. Now that she was here, she could see that her husband looked fine in more ways than one, and she wondered if she’d just panicked for nothing.

Ignore the one stars. It's nothing like they make it seem. There is adult language and adult scenes. But it's tame. The 1 stars are either a marketing gimic, a ticked of person, or these books were listed in wrong category. It's not a 5 but it's not a one.

Then to stop Mara being homeless, hero, alpha male, unselfish and swoon worthy Jared offers Mara his guest house to live in and strives to help her start a new business using her talented cooking skills. With unselfish love Sarah, Dante Sinclair's fiance replicates what Dante did for her when her all her clothes were savagely destroyed. She buys Mara a whole new expensive closet of clothes.

Mara knows Jared is a billionaire but is not comfortable with him buying her items such as a phone, a computer, a car. And him not wanting to take any profit from her new business. She just wants him.

Jared has a reputation of being with many women but no permanent relationships. Why is that? He seems emotionally closed off. Why? Whilst Mara has only had one previous boyfriend and he ended that relationship when had to leave college to look after her sick mother. How will intimacy develop between Jared and Mara? Will it be hot and off the chart? You must definitely read this book and find out.

The Forbidden Billionaire is book 2 of J. S. Scott's The Sinclairs series. It is a complete story and can be read as a stand alone, but I would highly recommend reading this entire series because the characters are well developed and cross over from one story to the next. If you are a fan of J.S. Scott's work, you will be delighted to see other cross overs from her Billionaire's Obsession series as well. I truly enjoyed seeing the progression of her character's storylines from previous books as this storyline unfolded.

In this book you get to hear Mara Ross and Jared Sinclair's story. Jared is known for being one of the famous Sinclair Billionaires. He is a commercial real estate investor and is known for being ruthless in business, being obsessive about his undertakings, as he is a workaholic and investing little time into his personal life. He has been considered a womanizer for quite some time by everyone around him. He lets very few know any other side of him.

When Jared meets Mara Ross, a local shop owner the world as he know it starts to change. She sees a side of him, even he didn't know existed. He suddenly finds he wants to do what he can to help and protect her, a feeling he has never experienced before. He is used to having people want or need things from him and he is quite surprised when she refuses to take his offer of assistance. She is unlike anyone he has ever met. In an effort to show her a different side of himself, he must first overcome the guilt of a tragic loss from his past. Will he be able to let go of his torment to have a future he desires?

This is a fantastic story that captivated my interest from the start. I loved catching up with characters from previous books of J.S. Scott as well as learn about potential storylines for future books in this series. I can't wait for Evan's story!

Luckily I wasn't forbidden to read this book because I would have missed out. I am hooked on The Sinclair Series. Every time I read I can't wait for the next one. This is Jared Sinclair's story, he should be hidden never mind being forbidden. Such a beautiful man inside and out. The dominate traits that these men have gives me Goosebumps, it's something in the Billionaire Genes or should I say Jeans, Oh boy I can see him now, shirtless, filling out a pair of Jeans the only way Jared could. Think HUGE, wink wink!!
Jared has a secret about his past, something he's never going to forget and struggles to move forward with his life because of it. Nobody knows what has occurred in Jared's life, not even his family except his brother Evan, you can't hide nothing from him but that's for a whole another story which I am looking forward to reading.
Jared finds himself attracted to a lady called Mara who works in a shop making dolls. Her grandmother and her mother all used to work making these beautiful dolls, it was only natural that Mara would keep up family tradition. Unfortunately her premises have been sold and she must find somewhere else to live along with finding a new job. Mara is very much alone in this world, she has a friend called Kristen but no family to help her out.
Jared has his own ideas about helping Mara out when he finds out she can make the best jams and sauces he's ever tasted. He desperately wants her to move because he knows the building she resides in is unsafe.
Mara is such a sweet girl, she has cared for others her whole life, she has never used anybody for her own personal gain and she's not about to start now, although Jared can be very persuasive when he wants to be.
Tragedy strikes. Gasp!! Don't worry remember HEA. It's Author J.S. Scott number one rule.
Difficult times are ahead for Mara and Jared. Secrets will be revealed, feelings will be hurt BUT true love and a Sinclair Billionaire will always find a way to right a wrong.
This book is an absolute must read. I recommend all lovers of Erotic Contemporary Romance read Forbidden Billionaire. I am now patiently waiting for Evan Sinclair's story. I see lip biting with anticipation in my future. Author J.S. Scott thank you so much for continuing to write such fabulous stories

The Forbidden Billionaire book 2 in The Sinclair Series is amazing. From the moment you open this book and start reading you are pulled into the story. Jared Sinclair is a man dealing with a hurtful past, not only from his childhood but from guilt that is eating away at him and has made him hard and distant.

Coming home to Amesport, Maine, Jared has set some things in motion that he soon regrets, especially since it involves a shop owner, Mara Ross.

Mara is a sweet and kind young woman, who took over her mothers store after she passed away. Without her knowing her shop has been purchased she soon finds herself alone and about to loose everything that she has worked for. Jared wants to come to her rescue, but Mara is unsure why and becomes suspicious of what Jared wants with someone like her.

The scenes with Jared and Mara are funny and sexy, Jared opens a door to pleasure that Mara has never known before. Jared is torn because of the things that he has done, that Mara doesn't know about. She is breaking down his walls and melting his hardened heart and Jared could risk loosing the one good thing that he has wanted in a long time.

I loved everything about this book, we get glimpse of all the Sinclair family and what a strong bond they have for each other. There's another character in this book that JS Scott did an amazing job of adding into to story. The town of Amesport Maine is just as much a part of this book as the Sinclair family. I honestly found myself wishing that I could go there, you'll find yourself laughing at two ladies in this series, Beatrice and Elise. This is a book that I think all romance readers will love, there is laughter, heartache, steam and just great set of characters that you want more from.
