This is a really nice book with lots of gorgeous recipes! The recipes actually make the vegetables the focus, instead of just making pre-existing recipes without meat! There is a lot in it too, I think it would be great for any vegetarian! My husband even thought it was a great book too, and he's not a big fan of cookbooks!

My one issue with my copy would be that it came with a 'sticker' on the front, it has actually been printed on the book, i would have preferred a version without! It's like a sticker of a review, but I can't remove it, and it detracts slightly from the aesthetic of the book, but not enough to stop me enjoying the recipes!

Absolutely love this book, and the whole family are using it in an effort to manage at least three meat-free days/week. Yes, there are elements that remind me of the lovely Yotam O, and of Sabrina Ghayour's Persiana, but I didn't find it too similar and found lots of very tasty new ideas. The instructions are straightforward for beginners (so my daughters in law tell me), and the ingredients can mostly be found at your local supermarket or on-line with, say, Ocado. Having bought four copies now to distribute amongst the hungry masses I am very pleased indeed with it. Coupled with Ottolenghi's new offering, Sweet, the combination is perfect for all of us.

Chi non può soffrire il tofu sarà finalmente felice. In questo libro ce n'è davvero pochissimo ;-) Verdura di stagione, spezie e erbe aromatiche a profusione, freschezza, amore per il cibo, le ricette rispecchiano la bellissima copertina. La Hart ha un talento naturale per mettere in tavola cibi sfiziosissimi senza complicarsi la vita anzi semplificandola anche a chi segue i suoi consigli. Anche il modo in cui ha organizzato i capitoli la dice lunga: Mornings, Grazing, Quick, Thrifty, Gatherings, Grains, Raw-ish, Afters, Store Cupboard. Toccato con mano, adattare le ricette a una scelta vegana è facilissimo. Quella donna (peraltro bellissima) ha un talento smisurato ma la senti subito vicina. Anche chi ancora non sa di poter amare la cucina di altri orizzonti (India,Vietnam, Korea sono miniere d'oro per la cucina vegetariana) rimarrà sedotto. Tranquilli, non mancano neppure farro, polenta e pasta.

A wonderful cookbook chock-full of contemporary veggie recipes that are sensible and not faddy (everything does not include quinoa and kale, yay!). Although the author uses currently fashionable ingredients like coconut oil, you won't find the likes of courgetti and cauliflower rice here - this is vegetarian food for people who like to eat and put flavour first, not for the fashion-statement 'clean eating' brigade.

I didn't take to this book and sold it on. It is quite attractive in terms of look and feel but basically the recipes didn't appeal and I knew I wouldn't be using them. Lots of words about the ingredients but I just didn't want to read the stuff. Probably as good as its reviews for some, but I have better books already - for my needs.
