Das Gleichnis vom Sämann ist das erste, das vom Herrn Jesus erzählt wurde. Es lastete in spezieller Weise auf dem Herzen des Herrn. Dieses Gleichnis wurde von den drei Evangelisten Matthäus, Markus und Lukas, die es alle im Einzelnen aufnahmen, wiedergegeben. Ich denke, dass dieses Gleichnis eines von denen war, die der Herr unbedingt jenen mitteilen wollte, die Ihm folgten.

Dieses Gleichnis spricht von einem Sämann, der ausging, um zu säen. Tatsächlich ist der Sämann Gott selbst und der Samen steht für das Evangelium. Während sowohl Sämann als auch Samen bei allen vier Bodentypen derselbe waren, änderte sich eines: der Boden, der den ursprünglich vollkommen vom Herrn gesäten Samen aufgenommen hatte.

Die unterschiedlichen Gelände stehen für die verschiedenen Zustände der Herzen. Es gibt also vier Herzenszustände bei den Menschen. Diese sind:

• Das Herz am Wegesrand
• das Herz aus Stein
• das dornige Herz
• das gute Herz

Der Zustand des Herzens hängt nicht vom Herrn ab, sondern von jedem selbst. Gott hat in seiner Liebe zum Menschen beschlossen, ihn die von jedem gewünschte Herzensart selbst wählen zu lassen. Das ist ein starker Ausdruck der Liebe Gottes für den Menschen, weil die echte Liebe dem Empfänger niemals etwas vorschreiben oder ihn gar zu etwas Unerwünschtem zwingen kann.

Wenn wir in Folge die unterschiedlichen Zustände des Herzens studieren, sollst du die Tatsache im Auge behalten, dass dein Herz auf Grund deiner eigenen Entscheidung ist, was es ist. Du kannst jedoch den Zustand deines Herzens noch ändern. Du kannst dein Herz in einen anderen als dem aktuellen Zustand versetzen. Wenn der Zustand deines Herzen nicht deinem Wunsch entspricht, unternimm noch heute etwas dagegen und die Dinge werden sich ändern.

The spiritual emotions of my heart.

The “Way of Loving the Lord” is very different from many of the books in The Christian Way Series. It is not an attempt to present the Bible position on some aspects of Christian Truth. Rather, it is an expression of the yearning, longing - the spiritual emotions of my heart - after the Lord Jesus.

I believe that there are some who yearn in an increasing way for the Lord, and in whose hearts the evidence of His soon coming awakens, with each passing day, greater desires to see Him - the Hope of the Ages - face to face. It is because of the presence of such saints in the church today, though their number be few, that I dare share these feelings of my heart in this way.

I send this book out with prayer, that many hearts be touched to seek the Beloved, and that such seekers should pray for me so that the Lord may soon grant the one desire of my heart - to know Him and to see Him face to face.
