To survive this harsh world, I’ve lived a life of lies and secrets. From a young age, I was taught the dangers of trusting others. When my world imploded, I knew those lessons were warranted. I was forced to flee the only place I’d ever known and the only people I loved.

The Devil’s Angels MC became my new family, and I grew into the man I’d wanted to become. My life was good, and I thought I had it all, but then I met Lucy. Shy, tiny, with beautiful dark red hair, I knew she was meant to be mine. Ignoring the danger of ghosts from my past, I envisioned a life of beauty with my woman.

Chubs was mine. I knew it when I met him, and I never looked back. It didn’t matter to me what name he went by. He was my future. He had a past to fear, but I never thought it would tear us apart in the manner it did. The day he left broke something inside of me. Rage filled my soul where only love had resided before.

Leaning on my family and the club, I push my way through some dark months. Vowing to never allow a man to betray me again. I pick up the pieces and face my new lonely life.

This book is not a stand-alone. The Devil’s Angels MC Series must be read prior to this book for the story to be understood.

I knew I wouldn’t be in love with this book as Lola warned us as it was going to be different from the others in the series, it’s serious, lots of heartbreak and sadness but I promise you’ll get your fill of our biker men, the ladies, the pets, tessie’s driving and of course Craig! As usual I just wish the book didn’t end as I have done with every single one of Lola’s books! Looking forward to seeing what the future brings for the devil’s angles and here’s to hoping we get tessie and horse nuts story!

Absolute pleasure to read this longed for book about Chubs and his time outwith the Devil's Angels Club.
I was engrossed in the action and the resolution of the interwoven scenarios all the members found themselves in; details were thorough, intricate and beautifully brought to an excellent conclusion.
I completed a re-read of all previous books in this series so that I was well immersed for Chub's book (mind this was only my third reread) and I laughed out loud many times, held my breath and sighed with relief, all the while trying.not to read it too fast.
Tomorrow is another day, I'll be reading Chub's again then xxx

Chubs has been a major character and his mysterious back story has been hinted at through previous books in the series. Chubs has disappeared without telling Lucy or his club, was he snatched, or has he done a runner?

We learn his story and why he has secretly disappeared and how this devastates Lucy.
The book is full of heart felt despair and anger from Lucy and shock, worry and emotion from his other club family left behind. It’s not all doom and gloom, antics from the usual suspects will make you laugh out loud.

This isn’t a standalone book, to enjoy it you really need to read the other books in the series first, you won’t be disappointed it is a fantastic series. I couldn’t wait for this book to be published and it certainly did not disappoint. I can’t wait for the next book.

This book was everything. So worth the wait. I cried, sobbed, laughed and smiled my way through this book.
We find out about Chubs’s past, lots of action in his point of view. But I loved reading Lucy’s point of view, here we watched her grow into a strong woman, taking control of her life and her own destiny. It was beautiful.
As always hilarity ensues especially with Craig, I love this character so much. We find out why Bella is saving money and it is amazing.
I only put this book down to sleep, so good!

Firstly I’m a huge fan of this series. I’ve read it so many times that I’ve lost count and I was desperate to get my hands on it. Desperate!

I’ve literally sat all day reading it waiting to be blown away and I’ve never felt so disappointed by a series end like I did with the devils angels. There’s no romance, Lucy isn’t the same character as she is in the other books, chubs story felt anticlimactic and the ending was rushed. I was waiting for their epic love story like the other books. Basically 75% of the book they aren’t even with each other and when they do get back together there’s nothing. This felt like a book that was needed to set up chubs not their actual story especially for the book bringing the series to an end.

The only saving grace was axel. His scenes were amazing as expected.

I love Lola’s work and perhaps I was expecting too much but the book, to me, was a huge let down.
