The first time I met Max Yearwood was on a blind date. Max was insanely gorgeous, funny, and our chemistry was off the charts. He also had the biggest dimples I’d ever laid eyes on. Exactly what I needed after my breakup. Or so I thought… Until my real date arrived. Turned out, Max wasn’t who I was there to meet. He only pretended to be until my real date showed up. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Before he left, he slipped me a ticket to a hockey game a few blocks away, in case things didn’t work out on my actual date. I tossed the ticket into my purse and went about trying to enjoy the man I was supposed to meet.

But my real blind date and I had no connection. So on my way home, I decided to take a chance and stop by the game. When I arrived, the seat next to me was empty. Disappointed again, I decided to leave at the end of the period. Just before the buzzer, one of the teams scored, and the entire arena went crazy. A player’s face flashed up on the Jumbotron. He was wearing a helmet, but I froze when he smiled. You guessed it: Dimples. Apparently, my fake blind date hadn’t invited me to watch hockey with him, he’d invited me to watch him play.

And so began my adventure with Max Yearwood. He was everything I needed at the time - fun, sexy, up for anything, and only around for a few months, since he’d signed with a new team 3,000 miles away. Max proposed we spend the summer helping me forget my ex. It sounded like a good plan. Things couldn’t get too serious when we had an expiration date. Right? Though, you know what they say about the best-laid plans.

The Summer proposal est une romance comme on les aime et comme on sait le faire si bien Vi Keeland. Nos héros vont celle un pacte pour un été à profiter de leur relation sans prise de tête et chacun repartira de son côté mais est ce que les choses seront aussi simples qu'elle n'y paraissent .

Georgia Delaney est une jeune femme qui a créé son entreprise Eternal Roses et qui était sur le point de se marier quand son fiancé Gabriel Alessi a préféré partir à Londres se retrouver que de tenter de sauver son couple . Elle a carte blanche pour rencontrer d'autre personne et c'est qu'elle va faire au bout de nombreux mois. Sa rencontre avec Max n'était pas prévue mais elle va clairement changer la donne . Georgia est une jeune femme qui est attentive aux autres et qui ne se laissera pas charmer de prime abord par notre héros . Ce sera rafraîchissant car cela donnera du piment á l'intrigue . L'alchimie et l'entente seront immédiates et elle devra sortir de sa zone de confort et elle ne saura pas dans un premier temps qui il est . Elle va donc y aller à tâtons car elle ne comprend pas l'intérêt qu'elle peut susciter chez un homme de son acabit. Peu à peu , elle va s'infiltrer dans son univers mais elle gardera sans cesse en tête le côté éphémère de leur relation. Des qu'il reprendra la saison de hockey, elle ne sera plus qu'un doux souvenir . Pourra t'elle faire ce saut dans l'inconnu ?

Max Yearwood est un héros comme on les aime. Il est sur de lui, de son charme et il sait qu'il plaît aux femmes. Il est proche de sa famille et un certain drame va conditionner celui qu'il est devenu . On sent aussi qu'il cache un secret mais on va vite en déduire la teneur . Il va donc tenter de la séduire et la convaincre qu'ils peuvent partager de délicieux moments . Elle ne lui cachera pas sa situation particulière et pourtant il ne comprend pas pourquoi Gabriel a pu La laisser et ne plus la traiter proprement. Max va donc partager des moments vrais et sincères avec elle et ça ne peut que lui faire du bien . Il s'ouvrira à elle et on va le voir aussi partager des moments avec des personnages qui nous donneront une nouvelle lumière sur cet homme . J'ai été attendrie par sa relation quasi paternelle qu'il a avec Otto Wolfman car ce dernier lui ouvrira les yeux et le cœur sur bien des aspects . Il aura aussi ce côté protecteur qui pourrait été adorable s'il n'était pas exagéré et s'il ne jouait pas un rôle essentiel sur leur relation . Pourra t il se contenter de cette parenthèse dorée et laissera t il cette jeune femme retourner à sa vie d antan ?

Bref je me suis régalée avec l'histoire de Georgia et Max. Les émotions seront variées et bien présentes au fil des pages . On va s'attacher à eux et leur souhaiter un bonheur à deux . Mais pourront ils dépassés leur passé pour affronter avec légèreté leur futur.

I laughed and I cried whilst reading this book! I just couldn't stop being installed in the story. Many congrats Vi Ireland for making me so happy!

It doesn’t happen very often to me but .. I’m speechless… and an emotional wreck.
I love all of Vi’s books but I have to say, this is THE best so far.

When I started reading the book, I thought it was just going to be a normal,cute love story. How wrong was I?

I’m not going into details as I do NOT want to spoil anything but oh my God.
I can not tell you how much I LOVED this book.
It started as a blind date and it (nearly) ended with a heartache.
It was supposed to be a summer fling, no strings attached but both Georgia and Max realised what they had,was way more than that.
Their chemistry is off the charts and I do believe that fate’s brought them together.

Unfortunately, they have some obstacles but I’m glad they manage to solve them.

My eyes became watery reading chapter 26 and I thought it won’t get any worse than that. But while I was reading chapter 30 my eyes welled with tears as I tried to hold them back.

And that epilogue? Gosh, I couldn’t stop smiling and swooning 💕

I loved this book and it’s safe to say, it will stay in my heart and mind for a long time.

Thank you Vi Keeland for another beautiful story.

I could literally read Vi Keeland books over and over again, she has never disappointed, always delivers such amazing writing style and fantastic characters that you can’t help but fall in love this.. This book was no different, fell desperately head over heels for these two.. and of course we can’t forget Maggie😏

Our two leads are Georgia and Max.. they have an instant spark that only grows stronger the more time they spend time together. As the Blurb says Georgia is set up on a blind date, when a drop dead, dimple having handsome AF man walks in… she can’t be that lucky can she, well in fact she’s not that is not her real blind date. However it’s one of the sweetest lines I’ve heard “I was walking past and you had such a pretty smile I had to come and introduce myself” *SWOON, SWOONY SWOON*

Georgia is an independent, beautiful, intelligent woman who runs her own business. Is a self proclaimed workaholic, has been so busy making a success of herself she now feels she’s missed out on the small simple things in life. So when her soon to be husband, moves away suggesting a break/open relationship, does she grab life by the balls…. Nope not at all. When a handsome man crashes her blind date is that the wake up call she needs to get out there and live a little.

Max is damnnn fine! So funny (actually they are both hilarious especially when together) a pro hockey player, who has also worked his fingers to the bone to achieve his dream. Hookups - yes, last relationships- sure, ballsy- 1000%! He can’t seem to get this woman out of his head, her smile or sassy attitude.

This book literally has EVERYTHING… angst, passion, steaminess, humour, moments of crying onto your kindle or wanting to throw the damn thing out the window.

Will the strings stay unattached?
Will family secrets get in the way?
Will Maggie go bada*s and tell all men in New York City her bestfriend is off limits.. or will she push Georgia into the lions den?

You will have to read and find out! I couldn’t get enough and highly recommend!

Vi yet again has written a wonderful novel. Not what you really expect. Obviously a lot of research to gain such knowledge about ice hockey and medical conditions. It just goes to show how life can be short and you should always grasp the moment as and when. Georgia is on a break! At her fiancé’s request whilst he goes to England to find himself. He has insisted it’s an open relationship and when he come back after 18 months they can hook up after he has perhaps found other woman to associate with, and he does. Georgia is not really happy with this arrangement, but to date other people!! On a blind date she meets Max who pretends to be her date but isn’t. The story unfolds, and is full of humour, drama, relationship issues and very romantic scenes. It is beautifully written and well edited, and the characters are all so vibrant and believable. There is denial, and self chastising, there is enlarged egos and also realisation that all decisions are not the best, for all. However love conquers through and a wonderful story finishes just the way you want it to. It is easy to read, emotional, but not dark. It has two adorable canine characters, one steals the show more than the other. It most definitely is a stand alone and one not to miss.

Georgia isn’t looking for Mr Right, she already sort of has him but when NHL star Max “Pretty Boy” Yearwood offers couple of months, no-strings-attached fun is sort of a no-brainer.
I loved this story. Georgia and Max’s chemistry is piping hot. They were funny, flirty and fantastic.
The angst to get to the HEA was great but frustrating. Sometimes you just want to wring the MMCs neck when he’s trying to protect his girl from heartache, but that makes the ending that much better right?
I’ve never read Vi on her own, only with Penelope, but I loved her along as much as a duo. Will definitely be reading more from just her.

I couldn’t get enough of Max and Georgia. Max was so charming as well as flirty, funny, and attentive. I liked him by the end of chapter one and loved him at the end of chapter 2. Georgia was headstrong, competitive, funny, and it was enjoyable to read about her. Their story had real ‘feel good vibes’ and was full of sweet moments, laughs, romance, and a love connection between two people who were meant to be together. It had a few cliché moments but it didn’t deter from the book at all. I struggled to put this one down.
