j'aime beaucoup ce que fait l'autrice et celui-ci ne m'a pas déçue, j'ai passé un très bon moment avec Bellamy et Easton, ils sont tous les deux touchants et attachants et on ne peut que craquer pour leur histoire. Les pages se tournent très rapidement, entre l'une qui veut trouver l'amour et l'autre qui n'y croit plus vraiment, les choses sont forcément électriques et j'ai aimé les voir se battre tous les deux pour ce qui compte pour eux. On sait d'où va venir le souci mais forcément, on dévore les pages pour savoir comment ils vont s'en sortir. Aucune grosse surprise dans l'intrigue mais des personnages géniaux qui nous font rire et couiner et vivre des moments pour le moins intenses. Le final est vraiment chouette et maintenant il ne me reste plus qu'à me pencher sur le reste de la saga que je n'ai pas lu et j'ai clairement du travail ....

What a story, l loved the sassy lady she knows what she wants and goes for it, E knows what he doesn't want because he does want to suffer pain again. Funny and romantic, would certainly recommend reading.

OK Romance, but the H was hard to like

This is an OK romance, and the couple has some hot scenes, but I wasn't crazy about the H. For that reason, it gets 3 stars from me.

I had trouble liking Easton. He was incredibly arrogant, and didn't seem to understand/care that his behavior toward women could hurt them. He was afraid to love again, so had decided that short-term relationships -- just for sex -- were all he wanted. That would have been OK if he made sure the women agreed, but he didn't bother to do that. At the end, I was surprised that Bellamy forgave him as quickly as she did -- because he really treated her horribly. He did work to get her back, but still ...

Bellamy was likable, but I really wondered what she saw in Easton. She knew that he wasn't interested in love, but she kept seeing him anyway -- even though she DID want love. It was like she was just asking for him to hurt her, which he did.

I did like that they were able to work out their problems at the end, but I had trouble believing they were in love. Seemed like mostly lust to me.

I did like the secondary characters, especially Coco, who was wonderful. I also thought the banter between the characters was very entertaining, and often quite funny.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

This is next-level Big Rock energy. Still fun, witty, sexy, but a bit more sophisticated and intriguing. But still the unfiltered male point of view with some creative input from the heroine throughout.

A night at the Lucky Spot bar turns a masquerade into more fun than expected. Two snarky, intelligent people sharing quips and bantering back and forth.

Easton Ford is a bit of an enigma. He is handsome, charming, successful, competitive, and focused on work. He thrives on being the leading matchmaker in New York with his Carpe Diem exclusive invitation-only parties.

Bellamy is confident, smart, resourceful, and bold. She has her own interest in the dating scene with her romance podcast. And she has her sights set on profiling Easton and his methods.

Just when he thinks he has missed his chance, a new opportunity presents itself. It's a cat and mouse with these two. The flirty, sarcastic banter, and one-upping each other. He likes to be in control, but she challenges him and gets under his skin. He is a bit of an enigma she wants to unravel.

They are worthy opponents that have strong opinions and conflicting ideas of how best to find love. And her public opinion is not always favorable regarding his exclusive parties. But they also have respect, appreciation, attraction, and witty rapport with a side of antagonism, competition, and frustration. The aggravation, picking, and teasing also ramp up the sexual tension. And eventually, things are bound to combust into bedroom buddies and orgasm sharers. But she wants to find forever love and he does not think that he will ever truly love again, so once again they are on opposite sides.

Bets, understandings, and challenging each other's beliefs occur while also partaking in definitely not-date datish-type meet-ups and new friends with bennies. But it is not supposed to be anything serious. But the lines might get just a bit hazy and blurred.

Can they find a way to see the other's side of things and meet more in the middle? And will Easton see that maybe a second chance at love could bring happiness and not just a chance for heartache?

This is an entertaining, snarky, hot, adversaries-to-lovers rom-com set in the Big Rock world. I loved all the different sides of Easton that unravel during the story. And even though he does not always get things right the first (or several times), I loved seeing him begin to try to figure things out. And Bellamy is just so smart, bold, and sassy. It brings back some old friends and some newer ones I am looking forward to hearing more about. I have a girl crush on Grandma Coco. I enjoyed hanging out more with Spencer, and getting to know TJ and Nolan even more.
