Okay, flipping through this cookbook is like a guided meditation. The pages are lovely (and look beautiful), the writing is relaxing, and the recipes are wonderful. So far, I've made only twenty of the recipes, but the most I can claim is that I bought five of the books as presents. This book is awesome! There are a lot of classic comfort foods with clear, tasty recipes! You can't go wrong with all of these recipes, but I was particularly excited about “The XXL Low Carb Cookbook” because I was spending more time at home. I particularly like that the recipes use ingredients that can be used in several recipes and that aren't mysterious or tough to obtain, and they will remain on the shelf before they expire. In my opinion, learning the nuances of any new diet is confusing, especially if you follow a plan with complex rules or restrictions. The popular ketogenic diet can be difficult for beginners trying out a high-fat, low-carb lifestyle. But in this book, the author tried to implement the keto diet into your body slowly and step by step. If you just open the book and follow the meal plan, then you are some steps ahead! But I recommend all to read the introduction and try all the recipes. All of them are new and have an outstanding flavour. It should not be surprising if you decide to try this diet because of its amazing health benefits. Healthy sources of fat such as avocado, coconut, seeds, oily fish and olive oil are some of the foods that are implemented into the meals, will surprise you. Once you start keto, your body will get surprised at first but after 3 days, you will feel more energetic and more eager to try the rest of the recipes. As it said in the introduction, once the body enters the ketosis phase, you will start to lose weight. Even for my dad who has diabetes, having keto meals is effective from time to time. I like that they use actual, daily ingredients; there's no need to go to a fancy store! This is particularly relevant during the pandemic because I don’t want to go shopping these days. This book strikes the right combination between excellent flavours and easy-to-prepare practicality that even one can handle on a busy weeknight. I highly recommend it!

What a load of rubbish this book is! If I could give no stars I would. I thought from the book description and blurb, plus the reviews that this book was something special. It isn't! It's basically the Keto diet. I didn't want a book on Keto, I wanted a book that would be good for low carb/ prediabetics. The reviews mention everyday store cupboard ingredients but who keeps and has almond flour, coconut- shredded & milk, sour cream, ghee, scallions, physillium husk powder and protein powder, almond butter and erythritol! In their kitchen? This erythritol is a sugar alcohol that is one of the better sugar substitutes but it can cause digestive issues if consumed regularly as it ferments in the intestines. I don't like the fact there's no pictures and the entire breakfast section is mainly eggs then lunches contains eggs again and fish and the dinners are basics like lasagne using courgettes and garlic chicken. As a retired chef I don't recommend this book at all. Amazon sort out the description to show its Keto diet as it's misleading saying low carb. Also sort out your returns it doesn't cost £3.99 to send this book via royal mail it's £2.62 !! So why have I got to pay extra and over the odds for a book that is misleading and therefore eligible for return? I don't like being ripped off. Very unhappy with this book and the fact it's not worth returning as I'll be £4 out of pocket! It's going to the charity shop...

The information truly covers all of the essentials. Basic techniques are covered, such as how to hold your knife properly, as well as what the various cooking methods (boil, broil, saute, etc.) There's also information on picking your ingredients to ensure they're fresh and/or ripe, as well as proper ingredient storage and cooking temperatures.I've used this book's recipes for family dinners, parties, and holiday meals, and they've all turned out well. You can rely on this book for inspiration, as it is accompanied by stunning photographs and expert advice. In this book , you can also find foods and cooking instructions along with the breakdown of nutrients at each meal. Any food listed in this ketogenic diet program includes fats, pure carbohydrates, fiber and protein. So that you know exactly what you are eating and how much your body needs.If you follow this diet, you will lose weight, stabilize your blood pressure, reduce your risk of heart disease, and improve your mood. These keto recipes are packed with protein and flavor. They are absolutely amazing! Keto recipes are delicious and healthy, complete with nutritional information, all packaged in this 14-day keto diet program and each recipe comes with protein, pure carbohydrates and fat nutrition information. It is my third week on this diet and I have never felt like now before. My body is responding to this diet and losing weight is not a big deal for me because I can control my body. It is a must read!
