Every little girl dreams of the fairytale. The one where the white knight rushes in to save her from the clutches of evil. They fall in love, have babies, and live happily ever after.

By that definition, my life should have been a fairytale too.

When I was eight years old, Caven Hunt saved me from the worst kind of evil to walk the Earth. It didn’t matter that I was a kid. I fell in love with him all the same.

Enters in his life Haddley the mother of his daughter. Their story is heartbreaking but also sweet in an inexplicable way.

This was such a heart-wrenching duet book, this has so many twists and some shock reviles that makes you very Teary, with a cliffhanger at the end, but; don’t worry, its ok, because second book is out called ‘Written with You’.

Oh...My...Freaking...God!!!

Brilliant doesn't even come close to how I feel about this book. Nope brilliant seems completely lacking after the emotional rollercoaster I've just ridden.

This author is a goddess at playing with words. One minute you could be chuckling and the next minute your throat is burning as you try to hold back sobs. B...ril...liant deliverance and masterful storytelling.

AlyMartinez is an insightful writer. It's the little things that she writes while delivering her stories that pack a whole wallop of feels. It's these little things that a massive ton of writers don't write yet they carry so much weight in building a relationship between reader and characters to make a perfect read. Aly Martinez has them in spades. She brings humour and sorrow and she owns it, Written with Regret is full of both and as Caven and Hadley's relationship builds so does the drama. But oddly the drama is an undercurrent, you know something is going to burst the bubble but are so happy reading their growth you kinda don't want anything to mess with it. And my god is Rosie Posie ADORABLE!

I cannot wait to read book 2, June 13th cannot come fast enough, seriously. This duet I will most definitely have to buy in paperback and will revisit many times of this I am certain.

I highly recommend this to romance readers who love emotional angst and stories with a twist.

I hope to god no one spoils this story for others in their reviews because everybody needs to read it like they were the first person to do so to get all the feels.

A six star epic read. Yep, you can totally see how much I loved it! I received an arc which I devoured, and because I loved it so much I instantly pre-ordered it too. It's honestly just too good.

Goodness what a roller coaster of a book. Where to begin. Sly certainly knows how to keep her reader trapped and n the edge of the seat and loose all track of time or surroundings. We have a dreadful situation. One that is unfortunately with us anywhere in the world, a person so obsessed, being in charge of lethal weapons of mass destruction. We have survivors, as well as victims. We have loss and tragedy . Caven a multi millionaire, and Hadley. Share a past, and a fateful day. Rosie Posie is delightful, a treasure and an angel. The story is so well written and descriptive, full of humour, laughter tears and tormented moments. A total must and great cliffhanger at the end. I don’t want to pontificate about the actual storyline as that may give away to many secrets and ruin it for the would be reader. I have however read all of this lady’s works and feel each one is far better than the last. If that is possible. The concept of people, relationships and human dynamics is awe inspiring. Must wait for book 2. Not to long till 12 th, but long enough. Certainly an experience I will be revisiting over and over again, as I’m sure it will take a lot to better this one.

Great book. Very well written. Characters are great. I wouldn’t generally take very easily to a mother who has abandoned her child but some how the author has made me move past that to give this character a chance. I love the hero - he’s great. Only gripe I have is that the 4 yr old doesn’t come across as a 4 yr old. The conversation and lingo is more in line with a 10-13yr old. I wish the author would have worked on that a bit more seeing as the child is a pivotal character here. I’m looking forward to the 2nd part though. I hate cliffhangers so glad it’s already out rather than having to wait for it.

This will be short and sweet but wow, this was a great read. It was gripping, engrossing and packed an emotional punch. I absolutely devoured this book and I really have no words for the ending. Holy cliffies, I cannot wait for the conclusion! A huge recommendation for this epic read.

Wow this book took me on a rollercoaster of a journey. The ending was a shocker , I'm so glad I can read the second one now. Amazing i loved it.
