Phenomenal !!!

OMG - this book. It's books like this that make the world go round and me thanking God for creating T.L Swan and her capacity for creating characters like Tristan Miles. A funny beautifully written romance that made me laugh so many times. This is the second book in the mile high club and for me the best out of the two and that is saying something because I loved the first one.

Okay so we have Tristan Miles who I absolutely adored, I fell in love and lust with this man the minute he opened his gorgeous mouth. Then we have Claire who is recently widowed and still grieving for her husband in some ways. I loved Clare, she is so relatable, a real woman with real problems and three unruly kids into the bargain. They meet when Tristan is trying to take over Claire's husbands business which she is now running herself but she is struggling. What I love about Claire was she never stopped trying. Always struggling to make ends meet, determined to keep her head above water no matter what. Claire is a diamond in the making and I really enjoyed her character.
I didn't think this book could get any better than it was as I happily read along, BUT when Tristan encounters Claire's children, OMG I died and went to heaven. So funny, so poignant, so wonderful my heart and my ovaries just about couldn't cope.

Honestly you have to read this book. It has everything you could want from a book. It is funny as hell, it has some great characters you don't want to miss, it's angsty and frustrating and glorious. Sexy, hot and swoon worthy with a leading man who knows how to talk dirty. What's not to love.

Phenomenal and perfect in every way (sigh)

An eagerly awaited 2nd book in the Miles series. I absolutely loved the book. TL Swan has taken me on a very bumpy emotional rollercoaster. Making me sob my heart out & feel so much despair, then laughing to the point of hysteria.

Claire a strong, independent widow is trying to hold it together, looking after 3 challenging boys and running a failing business, Meets Tristan the man that wants to ‘takeover’ her late husband’s company.

Every women will relate to Claire in some way. Her journey is
amazing to read even though at certain times I wanted to shake her silly, slap her then cuddle her.
Every woman would love a Tristan in her life and especially in her bed. obviously a super hot species of man, but with the heart that is so big. How could you not fall in love with him??

This book hit such a cord with me. Having recently lost my beautiful dad, who had taken on me and my 2 brothers at a very similar age to Fletcher, Harry & Patrick. It made me realise the strength and bloody mindlessness it takes to take on another man’s children.

Thank you TL Swan for taking me on your journey with you.
Life is a rollercoaster❤️

Wow, honestly I didn’t expect this book to be so different from the first book! Tristan is such a softie, I knew I loved him in The Stopover, but reading his story solidified to me that he is my favourite Miles brother(so far). His love for Claire and her sons had me melting! The rocky start to his relationship with her sons had me in stitches and there were moments where I couldn’t believe how much of a psycho Harry was! But watching that relationship grow with all of them just had me beaming at every scene with them altogether! I sympathised so much with Claire, I’ve never lost a partner so I can only imagine how difficult it is to move on from that and open yourself up to new love and allowing that new love to step into the place of the person you lost, it’s understandable that she felt guilty. She was trying her absolute best for her children. I loved watching her realise that she was deserving of that second chance at love. Claire and Tristan’s story was beautiful so much and I adored reading about it. It took me on a rollercoaster, I wish I could read about them forever!

This book had absolutely no business making me feel the way it did when I finished it. I've had book hangovers, I've had books make me tear up and I've definitely had books that sucker punched me - but this one....
.
When I turned the last page I wanted to cry, I wanted to cry that hard I could feel it in the pit of my stomach and I have no idea why?
.
First things first, the steam. This is what I came for and it didn't disappoint. Tristan Miles is a GOD and I will fight anyone who says otherwise
.
Now here's where things started giving me all the feels - Claire and Tristans story. Firstly, can we get a HUGE high five for an older MC. Claire was a year younger than me - 38, widowed, three kids and trying to hold everything together & continuing to fight for everything she and her late husband had built together. Its safe to say their first meeting was definitely more enemies than lovers but even then you could sense the spark between them
.
Claire was REAL she had stretch marks, c section scars, had carried three children and she had hang ups over her body and Tristan absolutely worshipped her, every single inch. He was aware of her insecurities and made her forget all about them, the little things he did to make her feel more comfortable had me swooning. I found it so refreshing to see a woman who looks "just like me" in a story like this. The usual 20 somethings with everything pointing in the right direction are amazing but 🙌 for a real woman and real bodies in this one
.
Like The Stopover this also had me in stitches Liana over at told me I'd be howling and she wasn't lying. When Tristan first met Claires three boys I was doubled over laughing, tears, snot and everything but the way things start to unfold between them and the way Tristan builds his relationships with them individually was amazing - another HUGE high five for men who aren't scared to take on everything

So, its safe to say I LOVED this one. I still don't know why I wanted to cry at the end and maybe I never will but I did, I still do and its ALL GOOD - onto The Casanova I go

Hilarious with the right mix of romance

This is my 2nd read and boy am I glad I did. I forgot how hilarious this was. The wizard is my favourite character and had me laugh out loud.

Tristian is just the perfect book boyfriend and Claire is a badass independent female lead. I loved reading about how their relationship blossomed and the love Tristian had for everyone.

The dynamic between him and the wizard had me ‘tick tock’ laughing lol

I enjoyed reading the family dynamic, the love the Anderson family have for one another as well as the Miles brothers.

TL Swan has an amazing way of portraying characters that has you feeling the emotions as it plays out on the page.

Also loved seeing other characters from her other books make a cameo. This makes me want to read the other books for a 2nd time!

I’m reading all the Miles books for a 2nd time and glad I can read them straight after each other, make you feel closer to each character again!

I’m actually struggling to comprehend how much I loved this book. And I was so ready to write it off early on - what an idiot?

So this story had a couple of plot points that generally have me running in the other direction - a dead spouse and a single parent. But whatever it is that TL Swan laces into her books (I'm assuming it's crack?) had me HOOKED!

Tristan? Tristan! Ugh. TRISTAN. What a dream. He is the ultimate book boyfriend, and I won't hear differently. I just felt like there was so much to his character, and he wasn't typical in any way. Claire was also a rock, and I really liked that she wasn't overly prideful when it came to the dynamics of their relationship.

There are some serious laugh out loud and heart touching moments in this book. I can completely identify with Claire's absolute passion and priority to safeguard her kids above everything else - that felt so real to me.

I can't recommend this enough. ALL THE STARS!

OMG where do I start. This is my favourite in the Miles High Club series. You have a reverse age gap (a little one) where the MMC is a player and the FMC is a widowed single mum. And did I mention they hate each other with a fiery passion and are business rivals.

When they bump into each other at a conference hate turns to a mutually beneficial arrangement of faithful but casual trysts (which are highly spicy btw). But that soon goes out the window and Tristan met with 2 out 3 kids that want to make his life as difficult as possible.

If you like the type of romance where a player has to face his feelings and grow up then this is the book for you. It can be read as a stand alone and in my opinion is better than the first (The Stopover).

I have to say, this story took me completely by surprise and it was not what I expected at all (in a really really good way). I have read a few books that made me laugh this year but this one… It was the most hilarious story I’ve ever read. It made me cry laughing! I’m not joking, I had freakin’ tears streaming down my face at one point and couldn’t control myself LOLL

The Takeover is definitely one of my top reads of this year and if you haven’t read it yet then… TICK TOCK guys! What are you waiting for!?

Claire is a widowed mom of three boys, trying to save her husband’s company from bankruptcy. She’s such a strong heroine and watching her struggling and drowning by the promises she made her husband after he died was heart-breaking.

Tristan is LIFE! He’s pure perfection. He comes from one of the wealthiest family in the world and heir to the most successful media empire. He is the one who surprised me the most. He’s smart, sexy and witty. So professional and hard on the outside but sweet, gentle and caring on the inside. Seriously, he had me swooning from page one and his playful side was just priceless.

I loved their banter and chemistry. How he paid attention to the small things and how he made her feel, like she was the most wonderful woman in the whole universe, making her insecurities disappeared. And his relationship with Claire’s sons was absolutely gold! The inside jokes, the pranks but also the sweet and heart touching moments they shared made this book even more perfect.

This book had it all and I loved every minute of it. It was steamy, fun, emotional and so real.
A 5 incredible star read that I highly recommend!

This is my first 5+ star read in a long while! The emotions just about killed me. I laughed so hard that my family rolled their eyes, I had to put my kindle down several times because I cried so hard I couldn’t see. There were sad and happy tears and lots of emotional turmoil but... my GOD! What a fabulous story.

Tristan and Claire are so combustible it’s not funny! His heart just about melts me and I couldn’t love this family more if they were my own.
Their journey is perfectly written and I will need to reread soon because it’s just that good.

I would urge everyone to read this book and while you’re at it, real ALL of TL Swan’s books. You’ll thank me.

Sorry this is partly my taste and partly it’s totally unrealistic.

So in the first few pages, we learn that she’s a widow who is trying to keep her media business open. They’ve already let half the staff of six hundred go. And they can’t afford to pay the other half. So when Clare goes to a meeting with Tristan who wants to buy her company, her and her friend act totally inappropriately, like teenage girls!! With her friend kicking her under the table, Clare shouting at Tristan and calling him rude names!! I don’t get it!
Why take the meeting with him? It’s so bizarre! And really depressing as well. As after shouting rude names at him, she starts crying. Then he rings her up later and she calls him rude names again and he likes it??? Erm…. Yeah I don’t understand people like her.
