Loved Jed and Molly!

So happy to be back in Sunrise Bay! After the seeing tiny glimpses into Jed story in The Greene Summer Bash I knew I was going to love it and I did!

Jed comes across as a bit of a charmer, love them and leave them type but underneath that front he puts on he has a heart of gold! He has his reason for being guarded, his Dad did a number on him when he was younger.

Molly is his sisters BFF, so off limits but like Jed is very guarded she doesn't let people into her life easily.

But when these two decide to go for it they go go it and there chemistry is so hot! I loved seeing their relationship grow and seeing Jed navigate being a new Dad was so emotional.

As always I loved catching up with the rest of the Greene's and the Thelma and Louise of Alaska!

I absolutely loved Jed, Molly and Emilia! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

The Greene family are firmly in my heart. Jed has father issues, but is a friendly likeable character. Molly, struggles to find herself worthy due to her dysfunctional relationship with her mother. They have always had an awareness of each other and just as they are taking things further Jed finds out he as a daughter he was not aware of.
Emilia pulled at my heart strings. Her mom has passed away and now she is with her dad who had no idea she existed. Jed is very self centred in the beginning but with the help of the family and Molly he is able to create a beautiful loving relationship with his daughter.

This is such a heart-felt genuine feeling book. Jed’s surprise and denial about being a father. How slow he was to adapt & how amazing he was when he did. Enjoyed his character arc in this book and the slow burning relationship between him & Molly. Loved that she wasn’t a pushover and knew her worth. Great to see everyone’s favourite seniors making an appearance too. Highly recommend.

I'm a big fan of Piper Rayne's various series that are set in Alaska, so I'm excited that we're getting more of The Greene Family series. Jed has definitely provided some comedic relief in the previous books, and he was one of the more non-committal Greene siblings, so I was interested in seeing how is story would end up...especially after he just found out he was a single father (since it's in the description, I'm not counting this as a spoiler :P).

I definitely felt the chemistry between Molly and Jed, and I loved their banter, but I have to admit that I felt a bit of distance from them in this one, and I think it's because so much of both of their feelings happens before the book takes place. They had a serious attraction already, so their initial feelings weren't something detailed in the story, and I find whenever that happens, I personally don't tend to connect to a romance as well. That's actually the reason best friends to lovers romances and sometimes even second chance romances don't work for me--I want and need to see the romance unfold, otherwise I tend to feel like the story is lacking a little, and that's exactly what I felt here. I also felt like both Jed and Molly were pretty emotionally closed off, both to the reader and each other, so this unfortunately meant that while I liked MY SISTER'S FLIRTY FRIEND, I didn't love it.

There are things I did love though. :) I loved the family scenes, and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter and steam between Molly and Jed, but like I said, I do wish it'd gone deeper. I also loved the scenes with Jed's daughter, but I wish we'd actually gotten more of those too. I'm sure we'll see lots of her in the upcoming books though, so I'm looking forward to that. :)

Overall, I enjoyed MY SISTER'S FLIRTY FRIEND, but I didn't love it. I loved all of the Greene family moments, especially when Ethel and her friends all showed up and the moments with Jed's daughter.I also loved the banter and chemistry between Jed and Molly, but I did feel a little bit detached from the romance in this one and from both Jed and Molly, which kept me from fully loving it. I think if you love romances that are a little bit forbidden with a hero and heroine who are used to no strings attached-type flings, then you'll really enjoy this one.

I didn't realized how much I missed the Greene family until I started this book.
I also missed Sunshine Bay and also Ethel and Dori.
Starting this book was like finally being home by very good friends. It's been perfect.

Jed and Molly are so perfect for each other ... put Emilia into the mix and everything clicked into place.
They were like missing puzzle pieces, wrong placed and upside down at first, but over time they figured out how to perfectly fit together.

There is the right amount of angst, steam, surprise and somehow growing up with coming over their own insecurities.
