In an ideal world the dreams and ambitions that loving parents hold for their children matches the dreams and ambitions of those children—even adult children. For Sheikh Firuz Al Khiran, as the eldest son of the current Sheikh of the Kingdom of Khiran and the CEO of the Khiran Corporation, expected and embraced his eventual succession of his father as the kingdom’s ruler and CEO of the family oil and energy company. And, while Firuz’s dream does deviate in new some new directions from the company run by his dad as the son dreams of broadening the family business’ portfolio to explore energy sources beyond oil. But, she is really more interested in seeing the sites than negotiating deals. Her personal dream is to take a lead in conservation of the earth’s endangered sites, not continuing the pumping of the earth’s resources out and potentially setting off an in-balance of the earth’s eco-systems. But Mia doesn’t know how she can follow her dreams or travel and engagement in conservation and honor her father’s dreams of a family business dynasty.
Holly Rayner connects her readers with the two families are on a collision course of business dreams and personal dreams of both parents and children at risk. The author allows the readers to travel with Mia and Firuz on their journeys of adventure, love, challenge and compromise as two families and two generations struggle to find a path into the future that can be happily traveled by all members of both families.
