Sara Grey is done hiding and done being afraid. The Master thinks he has her running scared, but she's taking matters into her own hands and taking her life back. With the help of her friends, she sets out to find the one person who can answer her questions about her past and who may be able to lead them to the Master.
On her journey, Sara faces new challenges and dangers and learns that the world of good and evil is not as clear cut as she had believed. She makes new friends and unexpected allies and reconnects with people from her past. As her powers continue to change and grow, she transforms from a struggling girl into a strong young warrior. But at what cost? How much is Sara willing to sacrifice in her need for independence and her quest for the truth? And will her newfound strength be enough to save her and the people she loves when she finally comes face to face with her powerful nemesis? Nothing could have prepared her for what is to come, and it will take everything in her to survive the final test of courage and love.

I really enjoyed the turn this story took with Sara finding her own strength. The visuals I have of her kicking demon ass will stick with me.
Eldeorin brought an interesting level of excitement to the story and quickly became one of my favourite characters.
I loved it all; the intensity, the drama, the friendships, the way Sara's relationship unfolded, the twist in regards to the big event towards the end of Rogue, though I wasn't too pleased about what happened. I cried my eyes out. My heart was broken. I don't want to give anything away, but have tissues at the ready.
Here is one of my favourite extracts;
Faeries loved freely and frequently and they also liked to share stories. So much for not kissing and telling. That concept did not exist in their world.
Again a point five has been taken away from my review due to typo errors. My number one pet peeve. It also irked me that the twins weren't mentioned as being Irish from the get-go, I imagined them Scottish due to the way they spoke. As an Irish person I can say with certainty I've never met anyone who spoke with their lingo, unless they are Northern Irish which is a completely story. Either way it should have been stated much sooner and if they are Northern Irish that too should have been stated.
Otherwise it was a gripping, deeply compelling read that I did not want to break from. Thank fudge I get more Nikolas Danshov time in Warrior.

The main leads: Sara is a likeable character instantly - she protects and heals. Sometimes she was annoying, like all her running away, but it made sense. I love how brave and fierce she is.
Nikolas - He was such a hard character to understand! So moody and protective. Of course, in the second book it's explained abd his character makes more sense. He's an awesome warrior. Sometimes the way he treated Sara like a fragile doll annoyed me, but you can tell it came from a place of love. I'm going to read the next book which is from his point of view and hope I understand him better, lol.
Annd eeep can't wait to read the rest of the series and Roland's story! I love him. He's such an awesome best friend.
Anyways, y'all needa read this series!

I first download this book as it was free, I started to read the first book and I couldn't put it down. I got halfway through the book and I had to buy the next two books (Refuge and Rogue) so I could read them one after another. I only download this book last Thursday and I finished reading Rogue yesterday. I couldn't put them down! Well written, likeable characters, fast paced, plenty of action, but grounded in kindness, compassion, friendship, loyalty, family, love - not to mention a 'smoking hot', moody protector.
These books are 100% better then the Twilight series
Since I have read all three - Relentless, Refuge, and Rogue on kindle straight after one another and couldn't get enough of this story. I am planning to read them again, as I read them so fast. I've decided to read them all again, so I can slow down and savour the story.
I can't wait for the to come out as a movie, hurry up movie producer.
I also can't wait for Warrior to come out so I can read Nickolas side.

I loved the concept of the mohori people and also the trolls. The bond was a good touch and Nicolas is a great character. I would have liked to have seen some more romance among other characters...and although it would have been sad, some of the "hero" characters dying.....
All in all, this book is a great read. Karen lynch has done all her research and has a wonderful imagination.
I will definitely read more of her work

This book was SO unexpected in the twists that literally had me mouth open surprised! Everything makes so much sence now with Karen beautifully wrapping up questions that I've had throughout reading Sara's journey and I'm amazed at the skill she has of literally bringing you into Sara's world writing with such skill so you feel the pure raw emotion of this conclusion... if you have read the first two books you are crazy if you do not read this one!
