A stand alone read with a HEA. I read this book before I knew how to post reviews. I loved it and as soon as I saw it again, I remembered the story. It is a love story. She lets him go because he is a soldier and she doesn't want the life of a soldier's wife. He is wounded, returns home, but he has lost his memory. She sets out to get him to remember her. A great love story, steamy sex that always turns up the heat in Ms. Wood's stories. It is set in New Zealand which just adds to the interest in this fascinating country. I loved the story and definitely recommend it.

A second chance at love. Six months ago, Rose refused Hamish’s proposal because she would never marry a man in the Army. She had grown up moving from base to base and wanted nothing to do with that lifestyle. Now he has returned from Afghanistan as a disabled vet. He must decide between returning to a desk job with the Army and taking a chance with a woman he doesn’t even remember due to the amnesia caused by the bomb that also took half of his leg. What will he decide?

This was what I call a soft read. It is romantic and passionate. The kind of read that at the end you just feel like you have to say “awwww” right out loud (and I did). Though a shorter story, the characters, setting, and story are all fully-developed and nothing feels overly rushed or missing.

This was the first book I have read from Ms. Woods. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from her. I’ve already picked up two more stories and will be reading them soon.

Remember Me is the story of Hamish and Rose. This novella is sweet (although it does contain some steamy sex scenes) and from the heart. It is all about getting a second chance when amnesia wipes out Hamish's memory of how his first time with Rose ended. Now recovering from an amputated leg and head injury incurred in combat in Afghanistan, Hamish gets to rediscover his love for Rose. The ending is very nice and appropriate.
I was unsure how long it had been since he was wounded but he did seem to be handling the adjustments very well. The amnesia gave him a chance to not remember all that happened in combat and "wipe the slate clean". You will enjoy the story of Hamish and Rose and it is a good story to tell with all the soldiers returning these days with injuries and stress from the war zones that most people do not want to talk about.

Although a very short read, this was a good one.

Rose and Hamish have a whirlwind romance when he's home on leave (from the Army?) for three weeks, but it's life-changing enough that Hamish proposes to her. Although she loves him, she turns him down. Having been the child of a military family, always moving around, she realizes she can't marry a man in the same profession as her father.

So they part ways. Hamish returns less than a year later, missing one of his legs and all of his memories from the last ten years. The story moves quickly from there. Rose, curious, seeks and finds him on the beach and they quickly rekindle their romance as she explains what happened between them. New "civilian" Hamish wants to pick up where they left off, but is afraid Rose will reject him again.

It's a great story about a second chance, and although short it's definitely worth the read.

Really enjoyed this story.Nice flow to the story line.

Hamish McIntyre,army man.Blown up in Afghanistan,lost a leg and now has amnesia.Losing 10 to 15 years of life.He can remember his family but not much more than that.Prior to his accident he was in love with girl from back home,he just can't remember her or anything about their relationship.

Home now Hamish needs to recover and figure out what he is going to do with his life now.He goes to party with his brother where he meets Rose Nicholls.Something about the name Rose seems to ring somewhere in his brain.Little does he know that this is the Rose of his past.His Rose,the woman he loved and wanted to marry.But she had turned him down not wanting the army life.

Great story,I'm sure this has happened to many of men who are injured over seas.We need to thank them and pray for them always.

This was a fast read. They met while he was on leave from active duty, army. Fell in love. But she refused to commit to him. Her fear of his life style. She had grown up with a parent who was in the army. He left and while gone was injured. Now back will he be able to remember why they didn't stay together? And can they continue with the romance?

A sweet, very fast read. Only three characters, and I don’t feel like I got to know any of them very well. It felt incomplete. Yes, it’s a short story, but it should still make you feel like you read a complete story. HEA.

Now this is a cute story. Hamish has returned from being in the Army due to injury. He's not only lost a leg, but he's also lost a lot of his memory. Going home, gives him the time he needs to recover maybe not just his memory but to figure out what he's going to do.
When Rose hears that Hamish is back in town, she has to go see him. The last time they saw each other, it was heartbreaking for them both. She'll have to tell him their story and see if there is any love left or if it will trigger his memory of her.
Will Hamish remember the time he had with Rose or will they be able to reignite the love they once shared? This is a worthwhile read for anyone seeking some romance and love. This is well written as well.

He was returning from Afghanistan. A bomb had taken his leg just above his knee and his memories of the last 10 to 15 years. The only thing he had was a name Rose at floated through but directly long enough to figure it out.
Great story one of her bests
