I find only "bad" point, the same as for all Karen Lynch: heroin is really too young for such involvment

As usual, Karen Lynch has wrote a book that will tug at your heartstrings, make you fall in love, and show you the importance of friendship and family, while putting you through an emotional rollercoaster.
This was a visual read for me and I was right there with Jesse throughout. Karen Lynch has an incredible imagination; she has the ability to write in a way that you can picture every detail clearly in your head, so much so that you feel like you are right there living in the story with them! Jesse’s emotions were delivered with a raw intensity; every one of them left a searing mark inside of me.
Jesse is possibly one of my fav literacy characters ever: sweet, selfless, loyal, honest, compassionate, intuitive, brave, and the queen of independence. From the first chapter I was desperately hoping for her HEA. I loved that she knew what she wanted, but was still able to be swept off her feet and wooed.
Lukas, oh Lukas ... incredibly sexy, kind, dreamy, romantic, protective, passionate? Sign me up! You cannot NOT love him. I would like to take a moment and just bask in the hotness that is a man who knows what he is doing! Lukas is plain and simply F-I-N-E! He might be the BEST hero I have read in a while. He was sweet and sexy. I am in complete and utter love with him. Lukas might have slipped right into my number one book boyfriend slot.
Be prepared to feel the emotions these two felt. Secrets and unbridled passion are unleashed. Jesse and Lukas bring the love to this story! There are so many steamy, swoon worthy, heart warming, and fun moments that will make you so happy! The intense levels of mixed emotions I felt whilst reading this was just insane. These two have the kind of love that dreams are made of …
The storyline is emotional, with a touch of sweetness and humour. The story was both heart-melting and heartbreaking as Jesse and Lukas reached their happily ever after. The chemistry between them is combustible, undeniable and OFF THE CHARTS!
Lukas and Jesse are spectacular together. The passion. The devotion. The love. Just everything was beautiful and pure between them - it was perfect.
This is easily a five star read, but I do feel the ending was a bit rushed.
Queen is beautiful story of partnership, adventure, and unconditional love. It will tug on your heartstrings, bring tears to your eyes, and fill your soul with happiness.
*Spoiler* This book does have triggering content such as torture, kidnapping and death.

With that much built up anticipation, the final book had to be a good one to live up to my expectations.
What I adored about it - the development of Jesse’s relationship with Lukas. Although the scenes are largely PG, there’s something so beautiful about the relationships that this author weaves. She does slow burn like very few authors can.
I also enjoyed reading about how kick-donkey Jesse is. She goes through a lot in this book, more than in the other two, and to see her growth and how she takes the bull by the horns and adapts to Fae life is wonderful.
This book is set mostly in Faerie, so it’s very different from books 1 and 2. The focus is more on court politics, duty and status. We meet Lukas’s family for the first time, though we don’t get to know them as well as I would have liked (especially I feel with regards to his brother).
I did feel as if the story was accelerated from around the 80-90% mark however, and not in a way that felt organic. The scenes involving Queen Anwyn and the ketain and goddess stone were rather confusing and perplexing, not to mention Jesse’s dramatic departure. Then for her to arrive back at Unseelie only to face the interrogation she did and then for it all to end with she told them what happened, and that was it, the end. With no retaliation from Seelie and no remarks on what happened after with Jesse and Lukas, other than her starting grad school in Harvard.
So I’d give it 5* and say the wait was worth it for the first 80% of the book. But the ending…for me it let things down. So I’d reluctantly have to say it’s pushing more of a 4.5*. And if I didn’t love Lukas and Jesse to death and had I not been looking forward to this book for ages, it might even have been a 4*.
Edit: I had to go back and revise it to a 4*. I had to be uncomfortably honest with myself and say I was disappointed by the finale to this trilogy. As a few reviewers have pointed out, it’s like it was written by a different author and the pacing was all over the place. The first two books were 5*+++ for me and this one really didn’t live up to expectation.

So Jesse is coming to terms with the fact that she underwent a change to survive what would have been her death and is struggling to adjust but when Lukas stays away from her, she's thrown into further turmoil. To avoid the drama, she escapes to Faerie for the first time and enjoys getting to know the world. When the Goddess asks her to save Faerie, she reluctantly agrees to help - knowing that the Seelie Queen is keeping a close watch on her - and uses an old friend to help her accomplish it.
With reading this trilogy back to back I really got pulled into the story and wanted Jesse and everyone to get their happy endings. Jesse and Lukas had a few more ups and downs in this one before they finally trusted each other.
We also finally got the showdown with the Seelie Queen and Jesse got her answers in regards to what happened twenty years ago.
I've forgotten a lot of details of what happened in this book but it did put me in a bit of a book slump after finishing it.

Jesse really is amazing, i loved how she dealt with situations throughout the book... she struggled which i think anyone in that situation would.
The relationship between her and the Lukas' guard... *sigh* i literally love them all- Conlan, Faris, Kerr, Iian and Faolin they really pulled through especially Faolin 🥰.
Where do i start with Lukas, oh sorry i mean Vaerik 🤤- i actually have no words- he was everything and more.
I love the interactions with Kaia 🥰 i loved the snippets and how affectionate she was.
Now you may hate me for this:
****SPOILER ALERT****
.
.
Im very conflicted with the ending!!!!
This is a trilogy so i presumed we would find out what happens further down the line- a cheeky epilogue of our faves😉
Dont get me wrong how it ended was typical Jesse but 1. im greedy and want more and 2. I thought it ended quickly also i wanted to see Seelies reaction etc etc
I did love Rhys- he pulled through for Jesse and i ended up loving him, im glad the truth came out.
Even though i feel the way i do about the ending it didnt affect the stars, this is still a 5star read and i will reread this book and hope Karen changes her mind and does Lukas' POV or one of his guards 😉🤞

Then this book comes out and everything about the story is lacklustre and lazy. Jesse just goes off on her own quest and that’s it. The story felt completely unfinished.
Everything was too convenient with no angst or any real plot! The characters had no depth to them whatsoever. This series had so much potential! Everything in this book read like teen fan fiction.
Queen was one of my highly anticipated reads of 2022. Im so disappointed ☹️
