Playing a Player is an amazing romcom written by Ivy Smoak. I first read this book last year, and it is one of those reads that stays with you. I don't remember the last time I laughed, cringed, and grinned at a book this muck. The chemistry is Smoaking hot (yes I went there) A common trait in all Ivy's books is you fall in love with the characters and become so invested in the plot that its hard to tear yourself away, the Sweet Cravings series is no different. You're gathered in a whirlwind of excitement and emotion that leaves you hungry for more. Sexy, fun, and engaging, this book has everything to offer from mischievous hunks to heart wrenching moments. I rarely reread books, but I'm currently finishing my second round of all of Ivy Smoak's books. If you haven't picked up on of her books yet, don't wait any longer.
i originally read this last year on KU and have since purchased it.

Quickly I fell in love with Keira and how she is written because not all 26 year olds are mature sexually confidant things, she’s bashful, her filter doesn’t work when she really needs it to and she’s beautifully awkward.
I adored all of the other characters, Keira easily fits in with Rory and his friends, the bond she formed with them was something I feel she needed in order to give her that extra bit of confidence in herself as a person.
Rory at times was a bit of a jerk, he’s a player but still I couldn’t help love his character.
This story made me laugh to the point of tears which has never happened, it made me actually cry, twice and at one stage I had to put it down on my lap to give myself time to process what was happening because I couldn’t believe she got under that darn table – when you read it you will know, it was just so brilliant.
I read Playing A Player in one sitting. It is easily one of the most enjoyable books I’ve ever read. I would highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a funny, sexy and enjoyable read. Ivy Smoak is a new favourite author of mine after this for sure.
The only bad thing I could say about it is that it ended.. As the 98% mark I was dreading going to the next page because I knew the end was near!

Just as steamyand funny as the others and good to have a happy ending. Don't know why I didn't read this first. The ending triggered my memory of book 2. Great fun as always.

This ebook was way better than I actually expected it to be. Some parts of it really annoyed me, though. Rory was such a douche half of the time. *shrugs*
Negatives: some comma splices, homophones (e.g.: effected instead of affected), typos (e.g.: we instead of he, he instead of she, Conner instead of Connor, Connors instead of Connor's, and some more that I can't remember), some serial comma lapses, and a few more errors to do with tenses I can't remember. Oh! There was also the lack of a comma before (and sometimes after) an interjection. Ick.
In all honesty, this book wasn't bad. The writing wasn't bad, either. The plot was somewhat interesting and the characters seemed to develop, so ... for the most part, all was cool.
I recommend it. Great to pass time. Plus, who'd skip out on the sass and some of the sexy scenes? (That's rhetorical.)
