À propos des auteurs
Serenity Woods lives in the sub-tropical Northland of New Zealand with her wonderful husband and gorgeous teenage son. She writes fun, flirty, and sexy romances in a variety of romance sub-genres. She’s won several romance writing competitions and is a member of the Romance Writers of New Zealand. She would much rather immerse herself in reading or writing romance than do the dusting and ironing, which is why it’s not a great idea to pop round if you have any allergies. You can check out all her books at www.serenitywoodsromance.com.

I didn't actually guess who the murderer was - something very rare for me. I usually always guess the killer, even in the bestselling crime novels, so that was a nice surprise. The story between Arthur and Gwen was just sweet and romantic enough - not too flowery or overpowering.
I liked the set up of the cafe and found the spells Gwen used believable. You can tell a lot of research and thought has gone into witchcraft and the legend of King Arthur, as there were loads of sprinkles of knowledge and facts throughout the story, which made the story come alive and feel more magical.
The writing style was easy to follow and very descriptive. The book is also really well edited and I didn't spot any mistakes other than a minor typo (and as a fellow novel writer I have a keen eye for these things - grammar, spelling and punctuation are the first things I notice when reading a book by an author I haven't read before).
I don't usually leave reviews as I either feel negative about a book (and I don't like putting negative vibes out into the universe, so I tend to stay quiet in that case), or I enjoyed it just enough that I might be likely to recommend it to a friend, but I don't feel it's worth the time to write a review. However I felt this book deserved a review to maybe encourage others to give it a try if they are unsure. All in all this was a great little read and I'm looking forward to reading the next instalment. I can see myself picking these books up to read again (again something I don't usually do unless I really enjoyed a book) when it's a rainy day, Halloween, or when I just feel like getting cosy and reading by the fire.

This book cleverly and seamlessly combines wonderful characters and modern life with the legend of King Arthur to create something very special and original. I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down. So much so that I have already brought the rest of this series.
If you love cosy mysteries with a touch of romance then this is the book for you. I really cannot recommend it highly enough and it deserves far more than 5*

The other, different creep, Arthur. The idea of two people being destined for each other and finding each other again over various lives might be romantic, a guy who has watched you grow up from elementary school age to grown woman telling you he was just waiting for you, is creepy.
Gwen tells her aunt and best friend that the armour from the café contains a several centuries old guy, and everybody just goes with it.
The insta-love. Gwen struggles with the idea of Arthur for about five minutes before she’s smitten. And instant love is something that easily ruins a book for me.
