This book would have to be my least favorite in the series. Can't say I'd be as forgiving with the lack of trust issues and no consequences as what was written towards the end. Got me frustrated and I just skipped/flicked through the pages. 😖

Why does Nonna have to die a tragic death with no real connection to the events of the Story? She was a central and essential character! What really makes no sense was the timing of it all. Elsa comes running in the door because somebody is shooting at her and during that time she is on the floor screaming and Seb is protecting her, while Aurora runs over and has a whole conversation with her about whether or not she should get a bandage on her head after the shooting stops. In the meanwhile, Seb decides that he's going to be the one that bandages Elsa and there's a lot of Heat going on between them. When he returns after that exchange with Elsa, all of a sudden they discover that Nonna is shot??? Um... that was like 10 minutes past... Talk about delayed reactions ( or just bad writing...) I mean Isn't that something they would have noticed right away??? And then don't get me started about how annoying Elsa was. To me she was irritating and ungrateful. I just didn't feel the connection between these two.

This is the sixth book in this series. It feature Sebastian, Seb, Sovrano. He is the Capo in the Cossa Nostra. And he meets Elsa and his future is decided whether he will admit it or not. She has a hidden agenda in their meeting. And she in turn falls under his spell. And her almost two year old daughter chooses Seb from the start. He promises to help her gain full custody of Avery and protect them both. But he is being attacked over and over. Will he understand and forgive her for her betrayal? Can she let down all her walls and allow him into her heart? This tale is full of action, angst and steamy romance. I could hardly put it down. The characters are intense and believable. I can hardly wait to see who is next to fall.

This is the third book that I have read about the Sovranos. You do not have to had read any of the others to get this story though they are also really good mafia stories. In this one there is Seb, who is the Capo of the Sovrano family. He is a definite alpha and has a way about him that can be intimidating to most people. He meets Elsa in a nightclub. She is there to meet up with Theresa for a night out. She doesn't get along well with Seb and ends up pouring a beer on his head. He likes her spit fire attitude and when he promises his Nona on her death bed that he will marry in a month, he goes after Elsa. Elsa has tons going on in her life with a ex from hell who is keeping her daughter away from her. He threatens her and makes her do things she doesn't want to do. Will this kill any relationship that they could have?

This book grabs you right from the beginning and has you reading well into the night. If you like mafia romances this is an easy one to recommend.

Seb is my favorite alphhole behind his brother Michael. He is always the one I connect with the best. He is always doing his best to protect his brothers and family. But has always felt on the outside being as he is a bastard. When he "marries" Elsa and her younger daughter he gets a chance he didn't realize he wanted for a his own family.

Elsa had lived through hurt and pain in her marriage and lives to keep her daughter safe. when her ex husband continues to try and run her life she marries a man she knew years ago to keep them safe. Many things happen but the important part is the that she realizes that not all men are the same and prehaps she can trust the alphhole and make a marriage of it.

I didn’t get very far, but the writing was on the wall. Very juvenile. The heroine just had to much attitude for no reason. And the way they interacted was just plain stupid. First time reading this author and won’t again.

First this is not a stand alone even tho it is said to be .We had side characters that are in here that definitely had their own book and that's annoying to me,because you talk about them and if the reader hasn't read books is kinda clueless. Secondly this was all over the place ..her deep deep down wanting to be a sub but coming off as bratty was not good . She's very rude and defensive in a unappealing way .And I can say for a single mom she did some pretty stupid thing that would risk her child .... As well as stupid because of her ex. I mean come on!
He did not come off all alpha male , just kind of reminded me of a stone statue ...sorry it just didn't work for me .He took abuse from the H. And rolled with it .I really couldn't see the appeal unless they are just going off of looks and that's shallow ...off to another read and here's hoping it holds my attention and hits all those feels .😥

Elsa needed help to get full custody of her daughter Avery (cute but a handful) from her powerful ex. Seb wanted to keep his promise he made to his grandmother. Elsa will a reveal a secret about herself that her ex used against her. She will lie and cause some to be severely get hurt. Seb tried to keep his promise to her but she wouldn't trust him.
What I didn't like about this story, Elsa would do anything to protect her daughter. What I disliked in the story, Seb apoearing dumb to be a smart Mafioso.

Sébastien and Ella's story will draw you in from the first few pages, and keep you so wrapped up it will be difficult to not finish in one reading! I wasn't sure the other books could be topped, but this may be the best one yet. Their story is sweet, yet full of angst also...just loved this!
