Biographie de l'auteur

Joe Hill is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Full Throttle, The Fireman, Heart-Shaped Box, and NOS4A2, recently made into a TV series from AMC. His horror novella In the Tall Grass, co-written with Stephen King, was made into a feature film from Netflix. His book of short stories, 20th Century Ghosts, won the Bram Stoker Award and British Fantasy Award for Best Collection. He earned the Eisner Award for Best Writer for his long-running comic book series, Locke & Key, featuring the eye-popping art of Gabriel Rodríguez.

Born in Santiago, Chile, Gabriel Rodríguez began working as an illustrator in the late '90s and in 2002 started drawing books for IDW Publishing, including CSI, George Romero's Land of the Dead, and Beowulf, amongst others. In 2007, he co-created the award-winning series Locke & Key with Joe Hill. He continued developing other creator-owned projects: the Eisner-winning Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland, with Eric Shanower; Sword of Ages; and the gritty sci-fi adventure Onyx, with Chris Ryall. In 2019, he partnered with Hill once again for two new Locke & Key stories, "Dog Days" and "Nailed It."

Après avoir regardé la série sur Netflix, j'avais envie de plus. L'histoire est un peu différente, même si le basique est là. C'est plus dark dans la bande dessinée. Mérite la peine (au moins pour moi) cette édition de grande qualité.

What did I like? Everything. I bought the first trade paperback on a whim. It sat around for almost a year before I picked it up. I only did so because I thought. Why did I buy this, let me at least read it and see what's up. Well I was hooked. I ordered the rest immediately. I had to know what happened. It was so magical and amazing and raw and I was completely sucked in. If you've seen the nexlix show. This is 100 times better than that. It's just amazing. I gave all my TP to my best friend as I felt everybody needs to experience this masterpiece. And so I bought myself this wonderous hunk of book. The pages are much larger than the paperbacks so you have so much more to appreciate. 60 pounds for this book is a steal. It's definitely worth 100. If you're a fan of fantasy/horror this book is perfect. I literally didn't want it to end. But the ending was good. It wasn't as if it didn't make sense. I just wanted it to go on forever. This book is magic and I can't recommend it enough.

First discovered this series on a Top 100 list and have loved it ever since (it’s probably tied for me with Preacher as my favourite self-contained series). Bought this compendium to upgrade my tpbs and it is wonderfully done and very robust (but not too heavy to read). Naturally, I reread the whole thing within days of receiving it. If you’ve not read Locke & Key, buy the first tpb now!!! If you have (or if you just know you’ll love it and don’t mind taking the chance on a big book) you owe it to yourself to get this.

The book is big and heavy but beautifully done, it gathers all the 6 chapters of the original story, for the prequels and short novellas, they're other compendium in the making, see the golden age.
I would like a dust jacket to accompany this compendium or some exclusives, such as a conversation with the author, his inspirations but we still have a good afterword in the beginning
A very good edition with a good price
Go for it :)

This book is massive and my 13 year old was pumped to have it. Better than the TV series way more detail. She read it from front to back within 2 days kept her intrigued all the way through.
