She came here for protection, but that’s the last thing she's going to find.
Welcome to Corium University, where the most dangerous criminals in the world send their offspring. Assassins, mafia leaders, arms dealers and art thieves.
You name it, this college houses them.
Nothing can touch us here.
The only rule: No one can die.
I knew she would be here.
Aspen was my enemy in every shape of the word. A liar, a thief. I wanted revenge for my family, revenge against her father.
I knew the rules. Knew I couldn’t kill her, but I could hurt her. I could make her wish she never came to Corium. She wasn’t made for this place.
If she thought the university was the only nightmare she would have to face, she was wrong.
I was the king, and this was my kingdom.
**King of Corium is a dark new adult, enemies to lovers romance, that contains dark themes, including dub-con, and non-con. It is not a standalone novel.**

The male lead quinton isnt depicted as a horrific abuser but as a lonely boy that loves his sisters and isn't loved by his daddy.
The female lead aspen is depicted as a clichéd booky character who is strong willed but when raped, glosses over it in a couple of chapters.
Even ends up offering up her body in return for supplies.
He manipulates her into sex to fuel his own agenda and doesn't take no for an answer.
If the writers approached this in more of a Stockholm syndrome way or perhaps a little more seriously then I wouldn't be so angry.
This romanticises abuse and its disgusting.
Take it off the market
Quinton & Aspen
School for the offspring to the mafia and other criminals.
But Aspen's father (arms dealer) is in jail for ratting on the feared man in the mafia world.
Now she's surrounded by the shark's. It's neutral ground, so, no killing on campus. But bullying and abuse is tolerable?
No one is going to help her, the teachers and other staff aren't interested in her wellbeing, turning a blind eye treating her like the rat her father is.
Quinton has her on top of his list, and is out to make her life hell. After what her father put his family through.
He makes a deal with her, but there's a catch. Will she bend to his will?
Aspen has a bit of a backbone, keeps her head down. Wants to survive and leave, hopefully in one piece.
Fast paced read. Emotional rollercoaster of emotions.
Can't wait for book two, Drop Dead Queen.

This book ticks all of the above. I was sucked in and found myself dragging my eyes away from the kindle at 1am
