Revue de presse
Beautifully and thoughtfully realized, this series is romantic, heartfelt and ultimately joyful. (The Bookseller)
Quatrième de couverture
Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. An LGBTQ+ graphic novel about life, love, and everything that happens in between: this is the third volume of HEARTSTOPPER, for fans of The Art of Being Normal, Holly Bourne and Love, Simon.
'Absolutely delightful. Sweet, romantic, kind. Beautifully paced. I loved this book.' RAINBOW ROWELL, author of Carry On
Charlie didn't think Nick could ever like him back, but now they're officially boyfriends. Nick's even found the courage to come out to his mum.
But coming out isn't just something that happens once - there's Nick's older brother, and a school trip to Paris, not to mention all the other friends and family - and life can be hard, even with someone who loves you by your side. As their feelings get more serious, Charlie and Nick will need each other more than ever before.
Heartstopper is about love, friendship, loyalty and mental illness. It encompasses all the small stories of Nick and Charlie's lives that together make up something larger, which speaks to all of us.
'The queer graphic novel we wished we had at high school.' Gay Times
This is the third volume of Heartstopper, which has now been optioned for television by See-Saw Films

I’m loving how this author is bringing out the facts, the anxiety and fear plus trepidation of people finding out you are gay or bisexual in this story.
How that person needs to find out and be sure themselves first, not only that, but there’s no timeline in telling anyone. After all, we don’t announce, hey, I’m heterosexual!
At a young age here where you are afraid of your peers not liking you anyway these have other fears doubling that.
The closeness and support they give each other is so heartwarming.
Lessons to be learnt in this series of books for sure
The characters are all diverse which I love as books should be normalising LGBTQ+ characters and giving them air time. So big up the representation. My bff, who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community has literally given her heart to this series and loves what Alice Oseman has created.
These books are super quick to read, I read both Vol 2 and Vol 3 in the same day in a matter of hours, the graphics are easy to follow and you can't help but get attached to the story. When I read these there was two weeks left before Vol4 was released. It's very rare I drop my current read for a just delivered book but you can bet that's what I did for Vol 4.
I need more of this series immediately. I highly recommend anyone of any age group reads this series. It has so much potential to help teenagers see they are not alone but also do the same for an older audience.
I love so many of the characters and their interactions are so realistic and well done. The friendships, romance and family aspects of this are all so different from each other, and there isn't a "happily ever after" in the way a lot of books present one. Nick and Charlie have a lot to overcome, and this was a really incredibly written volume covering how difficult it can be to come out to family and friends.
On a personal level, I found this volume hard to read as there was also a discussion of mental health on two topics that hit extremely close to home and echoed a lot of things that were very familiar. This was really well presented with a focus on healing and discovery and support and it really made me cry, and I felt very overwhelmed by it, but in a good and bad way!
As usual, I loved the art and story and how the topics in here were addressed.
Can't wait for volume 4.
Great character progression and more couples getting couple-y including their teachers 😏. Nick and Charlie FINALLY come out to everyone they care about school-wise on their trip to Paris. Harry, the little swine, tries to apologise for his unforgivable behaviour the previous year but he's only doing it to soothe his own conscience, and Charlie calls him out on it. Fabulous. 😍😍😍😍😍
