I enjoyed Heartless more than Flawless. I don't know whether it was the way things started or the tropes but this one was much more fun. I loved their banter and chemistry; you could cut the tension and I felt like there was more between them than the previous couple.

I loved absolutely everything about this book, it was so so perfect.

The way Elsie writes strong, independent women and broken men is just incredible. Willa is absolutely my new favourite Elsie FMC. She’s INCREDIBLE. She’s relatable, she’s funny, she didn’t take no shit and I LOVE her. Daddy Cade has also made it onto my list of favourite grumps. Small town grumpy ranch boy who puts everyone before himself and wears his cap backwards? Yes 😍 also, unsurprisingly a pro dirty talker, we expect nothing less from Elsie 🤌🏻

Their relationship is so beautiful. The chemistry, the slow burn, the way Willa doesn’t take Cade’s shit, the way Cade slowly warms up to her, the way the bring out the best in each other. You know it has you in a chokehold when you start giggling cos the fictional man finally smiles. Ugh, it’s just so good.

The whole dynamic of the book is just 🥹 Willa’s relationship with Luke, Cade’s son, made me so happy. Luke was ADORABLE and I loved every interaction between them. It’s absolutely my new favourite single dad/nanny romance and is absolutely one of my top books for this year!

This book has everything. It’s heartwarming, cute, hilarious, emotional (it had me sobbing so much, especially towards the end 😭🥹) and the spice is phenomenal. The scene at Luke’s birthday party? 🥵😮‍💨

Willa, Cade and Luke have my whole heart and you all need to read this book immediately.

DNF at 70% and frankly I should have done much sooner, but I kept powering through in the hopes things would improve, especially given the glowing reviews from others.
I hate to be in a minority, and I'm not being negative about this book just to be contrary. Quite simply, I did not enjoy reading this, I did not like the character of Willa, and I therefore could not get invested in the romance.
Willa is portrayed as this supposedly cool and sassy wild child, who is the sunshine to grumpy Cade who does nothing but scowl for the first half of the book. To cement these "cool" and unconventional credentials, we have her accidentally dropping her panties in a coffee shop because, get this, she doesn't like wearing underwear. Then on first meeting the 5-year old boy she's going to be a nanny to, she gets him to climb a tree, because she's so fun fun fun. No, I'm not digging this person at all.
I know we read romances for escapism, but for it to work, there has to be an element of authenticity. All I got here was fake, like the author was trying to construct a character from a tick list of attributes.

I will tell you everything you need to know about this book in 4 words because everything You've seen about this book is true….The 👏 Hype 👏 Is 👏 Real!

This book is utter perfection with so much good stuff - age gap. Grumpy x Sunshine. Single dad. Cowboy. I mean come on…. It is an absolute killer list of tropes

Willa is the perfect 25 year old FMC - she's hilariously funny, cute and with just a smidge of insecurity making you love her. Having been a bartender in her brother's bar since she was 18 she's a little bit aimless in life but that's the way she likes it. Until she becomes a nanny for her bffs brother in law to be.

Introducing Daddy Cade!!!! Lord have mercy this man! He's definitely a grump and it takes about 0.25 seconds for Willa to start to get under his skin. And although he keeps telling himself he's too old for her, and not good enough he just can't stay away.

I also don't feel you can talk about this book and not mention Cades 5 year old son, Luke who is just the sweetest and brings so much to the story.

I loved so much how this relationship grew and both characters flourished together. Cade opening himself up to a relationship again after being hurt so badly was gorgeous and Willa finding her place in the world.

This was my first Elsie Silver (I know I accidentally read this book first instead of flawless) but I promise it absolutely won't be my last because I loved her writing so much and her characters were perfection.

After reading flawless I was excited to read about Willa and Cade’s story. This book was just everything and more and deserves every star!

I loved the characters. Willa is up there with my favourite FMC of all time. I found my self laughing at her and her personality shone through! I love her and Cade they are a match made in heaven! The relationship Cade has with his son is a pure delight and seeing Willa come in and bond with him was so special. Everything was perfection. I found myself smiling so hard their banter was great!

The author did an amazing job transporting you into their world. I can’t wait to read more from her. The talent she has is amazing. If you haven’t picked this series up please do it will give you the escape you crave!

What’s not to love about Elsie Silver's new release, Heartless.

Heartless is the second book in The Chestnut Springs Series. Cade Eaton is in need of a nanny to look after his son Luke during the summer holidays while he works on his family’s ranch. Fed up of him turning down all applicants, his sister in law recommends her best friend Willa Grant, who has come to visit her for the summer. After a previous ‘panty dropping’ encounter with the gorgeous red head, Cade denies Willa the position but soon gives in and hires her after he notices how well she interacts with his son.

I loved the chemistry and the ‘grumpy-sunshine’ banter between Cade and Willa. I also really enjoyed their slow burn romance, even if Elsie Silver had me gripping the edges of my kindle in anticipation for them to finally get together. Heartless has definitely made it in my top 5 single parent romances for how well Elsie wrote the scenes between Willa and Cade’s son Luke. Luke was so adorable and funny in this book and I loved every scene of him and Willa together and the love that developed between them.

My love for Elsie’s books keep growing and I can’t wait to read on in the Chestnut Springs Series, especially my man Jasper’s book.
