Kier is a very wealthy man who as a child growing up was dealt a poor hand has he had an awful upbringing with his mother . When later on in his life when he was becoming a successful wealthy businessman , his marriage ended when he found his wife with her personal trainer . The only good thing to come out of his marriage was his beautiful daughter Sorcha who he had sole custody of after the divorce but Kier could never understand how his ex wife could just walk away from their daughter . He had help from Agnes a neighbour who had taken care of him when his mother had neglected him ,she decided to move down from Scotland to help him care for his daughter . With his work and looking after Sorcha he had no time to date but his “dry spell” was about to come to an end ..... Enter Paisley an out of work American make up artist who’s helping her freind Chastity who runs a company making porn films . Having recently broken up from her fiancé after she found him in bed with someone she found herself with nowhere to go so Chastity is giving her a roof over her head and a job helping her behind the camera . Chastity asks Paisley to meet a potential male “actor” at a cafe and in walks Keir who she thinks is the potential porn actor ,but after an OMG moment they both realise he’s not and they go their separate ways . That’s not the end though both have been invited to a wedding and that’s where the action hots up and she finds out what a Scottish man wears under his kilt 😉😉😉😍😍😍😍phew!!!!! . With a nasty jealous ex fiancé and a psychotic ex wife Is there a HEA on the cards for Kier and Paisley ?....... well I’m not saying you’ll have to read the story to find out . This was a new author for me and I was not disappointed the story is written with a great deal of humour and quite a few laugh out loud moments and of course Sorcha is absolutely adorable .

Hard by Donna Alam the easiest five-star read of the year. Once again greatness has been brought, Keir McLain a London Property magnate with the ability to give aural in an accent that would make a nun blush. He has always been the single daddy who needs to run off as he made his daughter his priority and that made him one of my favourites. Agnes is like a mum to Kier and she reminded me of someone we had come across before and I wished she was my almost granny. But the character I wish I was more like would be Paisley as even though life has knocked her she has picked herself up with a little help from her friend Chastity. Paisley is always well turned out and managed to get her life back together and even though she may work in porn, behind the camera not in front (but I would so love to see it the other way), but it’s the way she puts her feet in her mouth that makes me love her character most.
Donna Alam always writes hot and sexy well, she is by and large one of my favourite people to put pen to paper and create people you wouldn’t kick out of bed for eating crackers, people you would sleep in the damp patch for. Please keep up the good work and get back to writing!!

I really enjoyed this book, a lot. I know I've said it before but I'll say it again....I really see this author's growth and confidence in each next book.

I've enjoyed Keir and Paisley's building relationship. It built at the right kind of pace for two people who both wanted the same things at the same time. Instalove it wasn't, more like instalust, but it evolved into something pretty awesome.

The make up of Keir's little family unit with Agnes, their relationship and the explanations of how it came to be are insightful and loved. And Sorcha is awesome, and cute and brings some of the best laughs in this book. Her innocence amongst the things she speaks of is so damn cute. Every book needs a sassy female, no matter her age lol.

The wtf twist that comes is like boom. Where'd that come from? It was great to read how that played out. I do love a little bit of angst, and this author never drags it out or over does it.

As for the sex, it's the hottest and kinkiest from Donna so far. Have the shower ready and set to cold!!!

This story of Keir, the single dad with a broken heart was lovely. We had met him in previous stories and it didn’t ever seem it was in his future to even date let alone fall in love. Meeting Paisley, who mistakenly thought he was an auditioning adult film entertainer was hilarious. Their second meeting at a wedding where Keir protects her from an bullying ex leads to a most unlikely love affair. Enjoyable read.

If you want a hot, steamy, sensual romance - look no further. Witty, funny, achingly romantic and irreverent this is a story not to be missed. The characters are beautifully penned and the whole book is a joy to read. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.💕💘❤
