When the leads met and hooked up, I could buy into it. But after that, their relationship didn’t make sense to me. The author didn’t take us on their internal journey in a way where I could understand why they gave into each other when they did. So it didn’t feel genuine and there was a lack of chemistry.
Secondly, like a few others have commented, the main f lead is annoying. One minute she’s weak and scared, the next she’s fiery. But there’s no development in her character, so the change between doesn’t work for me.
Thirdly, the really short paragraphs annoyed me. I did get used to it but I found it strange in the beginning.
I rarely don’t finish but I have no interest in the couple and knowing it’s a cliff hanger (from other reviews) and so I won’t get any resolve from this book, means I don’t want to continue.
