This is Flint story. We finish where the last storyline finished. However this could be a stand alone, but I ask the question. Why? Flit was injured saving Eliza in the last book, and time has moved on a tad. He is obviously confused, bitter and somewhat fragmented. His encounter of Ash leads to whirl wind emotions, and consequences. The book is humourus , delightfully written. Full of passion and earth shattering relationships. It also has compassion and understanding of the disability of lack of mobility and deafness. Once started as ever with Aly’s books, very difficult to put down. An excellent 5 stars. Thank goodness Quarry or Q has his own storyline.

I loved this second book in the series and Flint and Ash are memorable characters. Ash certainly put Flint through the mill in this story and the denouement with Flint's list was just perfect. I'm going straight on to read Quarry's story now.

While this could be read as a S/A, I would highly recommend reading Sighting Silence first.

At its heart this is a second chances love story. It flowed really well and I have to say Fighting Shadows was another fabulous read from Aly Martinez. Yet again, she sucked me in from page 1 and kept me captivated until "The End".

Aly delivered characters that you just can't help routing for. This is another emotionally charged read, but once again laced with humour and witty banter throughout that just gives you that break from the angst.

This series is certainly one I will be be able to re-read and I will now sit back and await Quarry's story that already has me perched on the edge of my seat.

Loved this book!! I initially wasn't that drawn to Flint but wanted to see how he turned out after the end of the 1st book and because i wanted to read Quarry's book without skipping anything.

I completely fell in love with Flint and Ash, I'm happy it was fun and light hearted despite some deep topics. Definitely one of my favourite books I've read in a long time!

Highly emotional but absolutely perfect book. I have laughed so much at Ash and her crazy antics. And flint? Good grief that's one hot hero!! I loved their journey and their love.
