Another absolutely brilliant book from Sabrina. I've only cooked 2 recipes from the book so far (had it 3 days!!) - both mid-week suppers when I wanted something quick, tasty and healthy. The chicken shawarma and the spicy harissa chickpea pittas with cheddar both delivered in spades. Utterly delicious. Quick. Perfect! Recipes from Persiana and Sirocco have become staples in my repertoire- I know lots of recipes from Feasts will too. (And as an added tip-I'm not afraid to mix with the spices/herbs a bit. If a recipe calls for fresh coriander which I can't abide, I use parsley. If I run out of, say, cumin seeds, I'll use some ground. It might not be exactly the same...but it's a lot better than missing out!)

This is a genuinely useful cookbook, good clear recipes using lots of spices to create a twist on familiar dishes like roast chicken and lamb. Lots of delicious ways with veg. Desserts are excellent. Every recipe I tried (perhaps 15, so far) worked well. My only gripe, and I have with this and with almost every book I buy now, is that I wish recipes could go back to an easy-to-use layout of first courses, or lunches, followed by mains, followed by sweets, etc. The current trend of menu-plan layouts makes for a prettier book but an irritated cook.

I love the way Sabrina puts together many ingredients and comes up with exceptional dishes. This book is super. I cannot wait to start making many of them. Spent over an hour when it arrived just going through the pages and looking at the recipes and end results. Highly recommend if you are a foodie and don't mind spending some time creating your meals. The breakfasts are super looking.

I bought this for my best friend for Christmas - she loves trying new food and I thought the book sounded and looked stunning. Well, safe to say the recipes don’t disappoint according to her!

I think there are longer recipes that maybe work better for dinner parties or weekends but they sound delicious.

Only thing is, the food isn’t very Persian or Persian inspired in my opinion (I am a Persian haha) so if you’re looking for authentic Persian food, this might not be the one.

I made a recipe from this yesterday and it was very good. I look forward to looking through the lovely recipes and photographs to choose another one to make soon. The instructions of the recipe I made was clear. It was not complicates, it didn’t take too long and was different and delicious. 5 stars. I hope they are all as good.
