Colton Allyster is relieved to be back home. After a year of rehabilitation, losing his career as a Marine along with his fiancé, he’s had to learn quickly what’s really important. Colton grew up wanting to serve his country. Managing his parents’ biker bar was never part of his plan, but after meeting Gia Caro, he’s beginning to think that’s exactly where he’s meant to be.
Ever since Gia Caro arrived in the small, sleepy town of Ruby Falls, Tennessee, her life has spiraled out of control. Between losing her grandmother a little more each day to dementia, and her hot boss’s constant attention, her once quiet existence isn’t so quiet anymore.
After weeks of sidestepping Colton, things get out of hand, and before Gia knows what’s happening, she’s spending her nights in his bed and her mornings in his kitchen. And as he cleans out drawers and makes room in his closet, she starts to wonder if she’s falling too fast.

In preparation for book two of the Ruby Falls Series, One More Time, releasing this month, I decided to reread Falling Fast, and I am so glad I did, I fell right back into this small-town romance world. Aurora is one of my go to authors, I’ve never read a book of hers I haven’t loved and Falling Fast was no exception.
When Gia has to suddenly move to Ruby Falls after a call that her grandmother, who she thought had died ten years ago, has dementia, the last thing she expects to do when she moves to town is fall for her new boss, Colton. In desperate need of a job, Gia applies to work in a bar that Colton’s family owns, and although she tries to keep her distance from the gorgeous ex-marine, she doesn’t stand a chance because once he’s set his eyes on her, there’s not much going to stop him from claiming her as his. But when a series of events occur to Gia, and she’s in need of a room to stay in, could this be Colton’s chance to prove he’s the man for her?
Aurora’s books are always such easy reads, they have swoony romance, so much steam and enough suspense to keep you guessing. I love the little injections of drama, the who’s done it, even if at times it’s obvious, but it still adds to the overall plot. Gia and Colton were so sweet together, I loved how Gia would stand up to him and not automatically bow down, she went toe to toe and that showed him she was even more perfect for him to spend his life with. Colton was as swoon worthy as any of Aurora’s heroes, protective and alpha but not to an extreme, just because he genuinely cared for Gia from very early on and he wanted her safe. I loved how Gia was accepted into Colton’s family and she was welcomed by Ruby Falls, giving her a place to call home with a family she loved. Aurora has left enough loose threads that she could make this a series, with hints as to who the leads in the next books could be, I would love Nat’s story and also Tide’s, which I think is next!
Even three years after reading it the first time, Falling Fast is one of my favourites from Aurora and I can’t wait for One More Time next!

Gia has no one in her life really other than her best friend Nat that is until she discovers her grandmother is still alive. Believing she’d died years ago she’s shocked and upset to realise the time she’s missed out on after the lies she’s been told. Gia doesn’t get mad she just gets on with it and moves to look after her grandmother who is in the late stages of dementia. Looking after her grandmother becomes her priority and she needs a job finding temporary employment in a bar isn’t ideal but it fits her life perfectly. She fits into life working at the Rusty Rose and looking after her grandma but there’s an added complication in her attraction to her boss Colton she fights it as much as she can especially with the added bonus of his conniving ex Lisa she knows it would be complicated. But after a terrible fire at her grandmothers house she’s suddenly finds herself living in Colton’s house and being welcomed into his family. But will she stay after she’s no longer needed to stay in town or will outside forces push her out of town for good?
Colton took one look at Gia and saw something special, something he never expected to feel again. After being shot in action during the time he was in the marines and his Fiancee Lisa leaving him broken he was determined to get back on his feet and walk again. But when he sees Gia and gets to know her he sees that this was how it was meant to be. To him she’s perfect in every way and nothing will stop him from keeping her in his life where he plans on keeping her forever. But someone is scheming to make sure the course of love will not run smooth. Can they make it work or will they be torn apart.
This book dealt with a few issues not seen in others and watching Gia and her grandmothers interaction broke my heart but I loved how selfless our heroine was and although she didn’t get the outcome she would really have wanted a cure for her grandmother she still found her HEA and a family. 5 emotional stars!

I loved Gia and Coltons story and how they come together and their past lives.
However, I did think more could of been done about Lisa, and I would of liked to know the outcome of certain points in the story. This does not spoil the read just felt it was a bit rushed towards the end.

I truly loved Gia & Colton, Gia moved to look after her sickly grandmother and went for an interview for a job, who interviewed her? Colton....and there it begins. Beautifully written with all the feels, a total must read. Can’t wait for Tide’s story xx

My only confusion was the biker bit at the beginning when they pull up at the restaurant. Seemed as though Colton was part of a biker gang then nothing came of this. Would have made an interesting storyline.
